Even though I've been with the Dis for a few years, I've never made my way over to this thread. I've been reading many of the posts this morning and read a lot of yummy ideas.
Here's my WFTD:
Turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, roasted asparagus. Might even bake up a pan of brownies to top off the dinner.
Yep, a complete Thanksgiving meal. I usually make this meal a couple times throughout the year and will use a turkey breast instead of breaking out the whole turkey. SO much easier, but just as good.
Hi all! I am still alive but barely! LOL. No cooking for me, not much anyway. I have about 5 more weeks of school and then my life should settle down some and we can get back to good meals and a clean house in the G Household,
I also want to let you all know that Buddy is doing well. He has been cleared to work by both Dr's so that is good. He works for a construction company so they start up slowly, thank goodness. He said it was a LONG day this week, and he was shocked at how much he felt he needed to "relearn". I was glad he is back in slowly, his head was killing him! He is not scheduled for Monday, but this week he will be back setting up jobs for opening the following week, and we will see how that goes. His employer told him that he needs to do what works for him, and if he needs to take a step back, they will support him, and have someone else back him up. We feel Blessed that they
are so understanding, because now there is no pressure for Bud. He said if he had to jump back in, stay in rotation, and know he was stuck for hours on end, he would begin with a headache!
I do read what you all are up to, and miss chatting but just cannot keep up.
Anyway, I hope all is well with you! May 15 is almost here, at least that is what I have been told. LOL

Welcome to the thread!
We don't do Thanksgiving in Australia so Turkey is not the traditional meal for that time of year. But it is for Christmas. I do turkey breast at Christmas instead of a whole turkey. Yes, completely agree. It is so much easier.
Kimmar - What's wrong with asparagus? Do you not like it?
Have a great day all.
....hey, know what I do that's also easier, if we want to have some turkey? I wrap turkey thighs with a slice of bacon (shocker) and roast them in a glass lasagna pan....so good!
....and no, I do NOT use turkey bacon....![]()
....no....plus, I'm allergic.....
You'll be happy to note that I've been doing a little research.
Yes, Kimmar....there really IS kangaroo bacon.

....with sweet potatoes and broccoli.......taking my own advice....but I am also roasting a small turkey breast with the thighs...*sniff*, *sniff*....smells great...
PIO - I will still be doing the Veggie stuff until April 25th!
Alison - Hope you had a great time with Jill. Can't wait to see the pictures. Glad you're in for the chicken dinner.
How was the tri tip dinner?
Brandi - My calendar puts the chicken dinner for the weekend of the 26/27th April. Depending on how you re-enter caveman carnivore world again, you could possibly have chicken. If you don't want to roast it, you could think about poach?
