It is shorts, tank, and flip flop weather. It's 79 right now, which I like, but the upper 80s is a little warm for me. It's supposed to be 86 as a high today.

I think it's that temp. in our offices right now! I could strip down to my undies it is so hot!

Y'all don't even hear the half of it because I don't put details out here on the net...

Good news! I called the management again. She had heard back from the landlord, and I can stay until the end of June! I will have to sign the year lease, but there will be a 60 day rider on it with an amended end date. This means that I will not be responsible for the other 10 months and. Will get my deposit back! Yay!

OMG! Bethany- come teach here! I love the school system in our town and there are no lockdowns like you are having right now.

Same here! We are opening a new school in the fall, and the town will be looking for teachers. You said you want to get out of the cold though.

I am glad everything worked out with your apartment.

I decided to make Friday Night Fish Fry tonight.

Glynis, could you share the dipping sauce? Anything with parmesean and garlic has to be good.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. Yesterday got away from me. Here's the recipe.

Parmesan Garlic Dipping Sauce

2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/4 C. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sour cream
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder (I used fresh minced garlic)

Mix together and refrigerate for a couple of hours to blend flavors.

That's all there is to it. I started with a tiny bit of minced garlic and kept adding it until it tasted good to me. I was out of garlic powder, so I used the minced in a jar.

Glnyis- You can't say parmesan, garlic, and dipping sauce in the same sentence without more info. It sounds like a great salad dressing, and since salad is the only veggie my husband will eat, I'd like to expand my salad dressing recipes. Right now it's just balsamic vinegrette and we just added roasted shallot vinegrette.

Ahh, dishes and laundry- and it's just 3 of us in our house. We basically only drink water, is it so hard to use the same glass more than once?

Apparently it is. I came home from book group last night to find that every last cup in the house was in the sink! I can't stand it!!!

Lauren - Good luck tomorrow! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm always up feeding Timothy at the time you have to go in, so I'll say a special prayer right at that time! It's going to be just fine, and by lunch time, you'll be able to enjoy your beautiful boy, and feel just great, I have no doubt! I'll be semi-patiently waiting for the facebook pics. I totally understand you having to show him to the grandparents first, but I'll be tapping my toes waiting!

Bethany - Hooray that the apt. situation resolved itself. One less thing to worry about! Now to find a new job!

Gina - How exciting to find your dress. I'm going to have to look into the aerogarden!

My family is going to love this!

We're going to my nephew's wedding tonight, so we'll eat there. Talk to y'all tomorrow! I have to make sure all 5 kids are bathed and dressed appropriately for the wedding!

Actually I have no idea how you do it. I am tired by the end of the days that I have Nola. I love her and enjoy her but I am not sad to see her Mommy take her home at 6:30. And then I am done. Your day is still gongf strong at that time. I get just thinking about it.

Dinner is going to be the tuna sandwiches for Buddy and whatever leftovers I have that are not meat for me. I seriously do not want to cook tonight and he is happy with his sandwiches. That's good becasue I feel like with a glass of wine

It is warm here but no where near 80. It is supposed to reach 60 tomorrow but will not be sunny. I don't care....the snow is melting. Last year I put my inflatables in the front yard (Okay, Buddy did) for Christmas. We got an ice storm after the first night they were inflated. Then we got another one. I never saw them again until the end of April so this is all good!

Bethany - our districts pay really well (esp with the LCOL) and they are begging for teachers - plus you won't get shot at! It's a fantastic place to live.


We went to the movie tavern for dinner and a movie instead of eating at home. They had a Monte Cristo wrap that was SO GOOD - with the demise of Bennigans, I havent' had a good one in a long time. This was almost exactly the same!

We got some catfish nuggets on sale today and I am planning a fish fry night myself this weekend.

No, I'm sure they would have made me take advantage of the councelers with the Employee Assistance Program, not to mention any poor coworkers who were subjected to that specticle!

Today I am cleaning carpets. We had a very loud thunderstorm move through early this morning. Have I ever mentioned I don't like early spring thunderstorms. Poor Minnie was pacing through it until I told her to go lay down in the bathroom. She knows where her hidey spots are

Not sure yet what for dinner. I may grill though I have to get the tank filled. No I haven't done that yet.

Oooh....I will keep that in mind, but I am so sick of the cold! It's supposed to be in the 60s here today. I going to open some of the windows around here. I just hope I'll be able to get them CLOSED later in the day!

I am so glad it worked out too. That is one less thing to worry about. Now I just need to actually get the rider so I can sign it and send it back, but I have until March 30 (30 days before this current lease ends) to get all the paperwork back to them.

This is the first time that I'm aware of that she has come over the PA system to announce no hallway movement outside of things like state testing...which is a different reason for no movement. I was hearing things yesterday about how crazy it was upstairs. It's also the first time (that I'm aware of) that she has called an entire grade level into the auditorium to chew them out about their behavior.

Apparently it is. I came home from book group last night to find that every last cup in the house was in the sink! I can't stand it!!!

We keep plastic cups in the fridge for water cups. One per person. We wash them every few days. And, as an added bonus, the cups are cold so the water stays a bit colder too.

Thanks....yes, I definitely need a new job. I cannot do this one another year. At some point soon - probably in April - we will get something called a "Preference Sheet" where we put our grade level choices for the fall. If we don't return it, they assume we are leaving. This could be interesting.

They keep our building insanely hot too. I want to get one of those little digital thermometer things that tells you the heat and humidity. I would take it into work because I have checked the temperature on a regular thermometer before and I've seen readings as high as 98. (Yes, that was INSIDE...but in June.) And I also know we have had days hotter than the day I had the thermometer!

Recently, I was in the lunchroom and the fridges have a digital thermometer on the top; one has the room temp AND the inside fridge temp. The room temp was 88. This was just because they refuse to turn the heat down in the building. If we were in shorts it wouldn't be so bad, but everyone is dressed for outdoor temperatures in the 30s.
