Has anyone ever heard of a hot spot blocking the epidural from being fully effective? Lauren told me that's why they had to give her general anesthesia.

I have never heard about this.

I hope Lauren does not mind, I told our "mom's to be" thread that she had Thomas. It took every part of me not to post his pic over there, but I wanted to let her boast when she returns.

I think I past my diabetic scan last Tuesday because I did not get a call. They said if I failed they would be in touch within 48 hours. I am so happy that I do not have to take the 3 hour torture test.

Lauren is doing fine, big baby boy - 8 lbs. 9 oz, 22 inches born at 2:00 eastern time!:cheer2: :dance3: :yay:

Yay! Welcome to the world Thomas Andrew! You are quite the cutie.

I have not heard of it, but I think with these things, unless it happens to you, then you don't hear about it. Not that the medical community is trying to keep it a secret, but I don't think they want to stress women out when they are pregnant. Probably a good idea. ;)
