My thoughts and prayers are with Lauren, Tom and Baby Bean right now! It's so exciting to be on this end of it!
Timothy had me up early this morning, so I decided to put together a special breakfast for the kids. It's called Caramel Apple Bread Pudding. I've never tried to make it before but it's always intrigued me. So, I did it! It's in the oven now, and smells incredible! If it tastes as good as it smells, I'll post the recipe.
Dinner tonight is up in the air. I've got some hamburger thawed out that I need to use, so unless Alan and I go out to eat, I'll do some kind of casserole. I may do the casserole anyway, so the kids will have something other than mac and cheese to eat!
I hope you NOLA gals have a great meet! I can't wait to see the pics and hear the report!
Last night's wedding was so wonderful! My nephew Dan has been divorced for about a year now (his ex cheated on him with his brother), and he's been really lonely. About 3 months ago, he met Carrie, a widow (her husband died when they'd been married just over a year. That was 4 years ago). Dan has a 2 year old son, and Carrie has a 4 year old girl (born just months before her daddy died). Dan and Carrie hit it off right away, and last night they became a family. The 2 kids stood right by their parents during the ceremony, and as Dan and Carrie kissed, Taya tugged her mom's skirt and asked, "Are we married, now?" It was so precious!
The only really odd thing was that Dan's ex wife crashed the reception. She said it was her time to have Noah, but it just seemed really odd and rude to me!
I hope everyone has good days! We are planning on taking the kids to a museum after we get the house cleaned. Hopefully, that won't take us too long!
