Thank goodness you checked in! Please know that I am only a call away. Sometimes just talking to friends can help.:hug:

Maria, Glad to see that you checked in. I was going to call you today but have a horrible sinus headache and not thinking straight and was afraid I would come across as a babbling idiot...if you need anything, please let me know. I will say a prayer that you make all the right decisions. :grouphug:

Dinner tonight ended up being avocado and grapefruit salad. I had a late lunch of pizza and then took a late nap. Tried to sleep when I first got home but I had two cups of coffee at work and was too wired. Finally fell asleep at about 6. :sad2:

Is no one going to claim responsibility for hooking me up with Rosa Regale? I KNOW it was someone from here that said it was so good.

Fess up, already.

/
Lindsay I am not sure who started us on that path of no return. But I too fell victim.

The garlic chicken pizza was good, not your typical tomato sauce pizza. Alex was not a fan, He thinks all pizza has red sauce or it is not pizza :confused3

 It couldn't have been a NOLA gal now could it.....we just finished off a bottle Sunday....:lovestruc Seriously, so many of us love the stuff, it was probably a group effort.:rotfl:

WFD - Asian glazed/grilled pork chops, fried rice and corn.

Have a great day everyone!

Lauren - I hope you're feeling better today.

Maria - So glad to have you back, as others have said, we're all here for you.

Good Morning! Quick fly by...gotta go...yup, to the dr's! I may get a date today! :cool1:

We are having beef, rice and cheese enchiladas and a tossed salad.

I am feeling a bit better today...still have a bit of a headache but not as bad. Some good news, the baby's room is just about done. Tom just needs to change out 1 outlet. We ordered the furniture and then it will be complete.

Also, he is done grouting the shower...now all needs to be done is sealing the grout and tile and then painting and minor things! :cool1:

Have a great day all!

PS: I will post some shower pics when I get some from my BIL...

Morning girls,

Last night we surprised my parents last minute and had dinner with them. Nothing fancy leftovers...broccoli, salad, home fries, creamed peas and baked scrod.

WFD- Chicken cutlets with brown gravy, mashed, and peas & corn mixed.

I have tried to post to this thread two or three times in the past 2 days, but the DIS keeps eating the posts. I guess we know what the DIS has had for dinner!

So we have been eating well the past few days. Lasagna, bbq chicken, king cake, beignets, coffee, fried shrimp po boy, arbys (lol), and cheeseburgers. I cannot say I've heard my stomach growl in a while!

Okay...I'm going to see if this posts! *crosses fingers*

P.S. I am having a good trip, not a hop trip lol! Typing on the phone makes for some strange typos!

I forgot to post *hugs* for Maria and about Buddy's aunt passing.

Have a good day everybody! Looks like my last post went through!

Morning all! Tonight is my night to work, so my mom will be in charge of dinner. I've left her with spaghetti, so we'll see if that's what she actually makes.

Maria--

Lauren--hope you get your date today!

Okay, need to get moving if the kids are going to be on time for school!

Hi all! I have two Dr appointments this morning so I am rushing around after being a slug. Wish me luck, I have been having the same issues I had before the D&C and it has knocked me for a loop.

Lindsay- I am blaming Lori for the Rosa. I think I remember she started the downward spiral........you know the Rosa and the Chocolate Shell???????? If is was not her, well I am not above blaming someone who is working and cannot defend herself....so it was Lori. My story and I'm sticking to it.

BTW- if anyone sees Lori and the Rosa thing was not her.....I am out of town, and not able to be reached until springtime.

Bethany- I am glad you are having a good trip!

Lauren- no working hard.

Dinner will be whatever we find when we get home from the wake.

Oh, does anyone know how long the sparkle will last after opening the Nuvo? I am afraid to open it if it goes bad fast and cannot overindulge too much. Janice had bottles of wine on the tables adn I tried to finish them all. Now you know I cannot stand waste and the thought of tossing all of that nice Merlot made me nuts! If I do that again I'll never get trid of the headache!

who knows where we will rest our heads in March:lmao: !!!!!!

My wonderful DH could not resist an AKL poolview room that opened up today on the 7 for 4 deal. So we have changed from CSR to AKL, I must admit I am super excited :cool1: !!! We have never stayed there.

DH is so excited to take my DS on their morning walks together to find animals. He is very into giraffes right now because of the Madagascar movie.

This is change number three to this trip for those of you counting :rotfl: ...we started with POR, to CSR, to AKL.

Morning Y'all,

We had a nice evening last night with DD & SIL sleeping over. But this morning though really tugged at my heartstrings. Chris comes in at 5:30 & slips Alexis in bed. So this morning she put her in bed with my DD. (SonIL Josh was already up.) So when I go in there to wake up Alexis for school, there's my DD asleep in old bed with Alexis. Nice but why do they have to grow up? :sad1:

DD took A to school for me, so that was nice too!

Nancy,

Maria,

Stephanie, I sent you a friend request on FB.

Nancy & Stephanie, Even when Bob & I agree to not buy each other gifts, usually one of us doesn't live up to the agreement. Usually with something really small. But every now & then he surprises me with something big that I've been wanting.

Becky, That food looks amazing! Especially all those random cocktails! I am pleasantly surprised at how fancy the restaurant food looks too.

Lindsay, I think there was a lot of discussion on the Rosa from a bunch of us. I know Lori/beadpirate started it, but then it just spread like wildfire! It's good stuff isn't it? ;)

Lauren, I'm glad everything is almost ready for Bean to arrive! Hope your headache gets better today.

Don't know what's for dinner yet. I think they cleaned out the big potroast from last night, DH, DD &SIL all took leftovers for lunch.
If we have enough left, I'll make po-boys.

Sheryl,

Whenever you have a chance, can you please post your blueberry buckwheat waffle recipe!!! I would love to try it in my new waffle maker.

Once again you had me drooling. Hope you are feeling ok.

Thanks,
Ann

I missed a bunch while I was posting earlier!

Nan, I'm sorry about your dr visits & the reason you're heading there!

For sparkling wines, we got a freebie champagne saver at the last F&W fest, and they work! like this one:http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-891...1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1234884989&sr=1-1

I used that on the Nuvo. I also use this type for reg. wines:
http://www.amazon.com/Vacu-Vin-3-Pi...2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1234885078&sr=1-2

Ann, Three changes! I wonder where you are going to end up! But with that deal, I'd definitely stick with AKL! That would be so cool!

I'm going to disappoint on this, it wasn't from scratch. I used Arrowhead Mills Organic Buckwheat Pancake & Waffle Mix. (it's buckwheat & whole wheat). The directions on the package call for

1 cup Mix
1 egg beaten or egg substitute
1 tsp Canola Oil
1 tbsp honey
1 cup plus 1 tbsp., Milk, or soymilk or water

My changes: 2 tbsp honey, 1 tsp. Mexican Vanilla. Instead of milk or water I used all club soda. Stir until lumps disappear, then gently stir in 1/4 -1/2 cup fresh blueberries.

I always use club soda in waffles, especially when I'm using whole wheat, it makes them lighter & fluffier.

Nancy,

I ended up changing dinner a little last night. I went ahead and made the summer rolls, but changed the main course to be chicken and steak satay with peanut dipping sauce, coconut-lime rice, and blasted baby bok choy. I have been taking pictures of the dinners lately, but have not uploaded them. I am still finishing my trip report and photos and it takes a while. I don't think I am going to get my facebook page running until next week now either--but John is in Pittsburgh next week so I will have lots of time to work on it, and I will finally friend you all!

Tonight we'll be vegging in front of the TV with American Idol. I think I am just making sausage and pepper subs.
