Ann, Don't be jealous! I wasted a bunch of time today getting pretty, so now I'm in packing freakout mode! I'm really don't enjoy flying, I get panicky that they'll lose my luggage & the carryon rules really bug me.

Marilyn & Aimee, I'm sorry work is such a pain right now.

Dinner will be a smoked chicken, duck & andouille gumbo Chris made!! She's trying to redo the yummy one from our fest. We'll see how she did!
DH is on his way home in a rotten mood & I'm stressed over packing. Both bad signs for a good evening. I sure hope that gumbo soothes the savage soul!

Nancy The buttermilk pound cake is really good. I also have a recipe for carmel apple buttermilk cake if you want. The cake part is just a buttermilk cake with cooked apple filling and a homemade carmel frosting. It sounds like alot of work but it really is not difficult.

I have got to get that chicken recipe from Welby, it was delicious! Coronary hardening buttery chicken Heaven!

Had a piece of the lemon loaf and it was really good!

I told y'all chicken adobo didn't sound good We ended up a new sushi place about 4 miles from my house that is my new favorite place. Yum! The roll I got was "a little spicy" which translates for me into "drink 3 glasses of water and go through 4 kleenex's" but it was tasty!

DH accepted a job as a "manny" for some friends and started this afternoon. It'll be good for him to be busy and for them. He also contacted HR at the firefighting position he's waiting to hear from just to get an idea on timeframe (to tell this family) and they said 3-6 months They said it takes a long time to investigate each candidate at this point. Bummer for me and my quest for a new car.

It should be okay, I will just work on it a little each day. We are getting a new computer system that will make working in Access for registrations no longer needed. Our billing system, which is on another database entirely, is in the process of being replaced. Once that starts the drinking will commence in earnest.

I hear ya on that!

Dinner tonight will be a corned beef and cabbage casserole. Alan is hunting again, and I think the kids will eat this. Cross your fingers.

DM is having work issues, so we are having travel issues for Disney again. I will keep you posted about what we decide.

Oh no! I hope you get it worked out. I'd hate for Sheryl and the rest of the ladies to get drunk trying to consume your portion of the alcohol.


Dinner was breaded pork chops and seasoned potatoes. I really need to stop with the carbs and start adding some veggies to my meals

I liked both Kevin and Dave but when Kevin tried to talk Dave out of the competition I was . Come on Dude! There are only two of you who are really in this!

Dinner is at Marisa's tonight. We are all bringing WW friendly sides to go with a roasted chicken. Marisa dropped the chicken off here because I am assigned the gravy and I want the drippings.

It is a crazy day, I need to try to get the second coat of varnish on the porch becasue there is rain coming in tomorrow and the weekend. *** soon as it warms up a bit I am out there!

Glad to hear Maria is still coming but I'm anxiously awaiting her travel plan change.

I'm feeling a little better today, and Caili said she was feeling better this morning as well. I did skip my zumba class because I was afraid I would be coughing through it. We're having leftovers for dinner tonight.
