Lovely day at AK, it seems so rare an opportunity to tour this park without it being far too hot! And finishing up with Le Cellier, perfect.

It was the first time we did the Flame Tree. We quite enjoyed it. We're normally "Tusker's" people but with the changes we had to find somewhere else.

Day 8 - 26th October

Up, shaved, showered, across to the Artist's Palette for the necessary Teas and Fanta.

Today we were heading back to EPCOT - we need our fill of Sourin'. We took in the new Nemo ride again - no queue, just a straight walk on. We made our way around the world and made sure that we took in the rides at Mexico and Norway. It was another muggy day today so we took our early lunch in America. Fairly standard fair here but it's well air-conditioned and we have never seen it crowded.

We decide to head back to SSR at about 2.00pm and decided to look around the AKL DVC exhibition. The rooms look very, very nice, and the beds seem massive!

Today we have an ADR at Tony's for 5.45pm (It's MNSSHP again tonight so we have to take an early booking). We had a truly wonderful meal and an excellent server. DD had the Spaggy Bol and the server insisted on covering it with cheese until she sang her favourite Disney song aloud. After one verse of "It's a Small World" he quickly left with a look of horror on his face .

Well plumped with excellent food we left the restaurant at 7.00pm to join the non-partiers being evicted from MK.

Just enough time for another photopass piccie.

We then headed back to EPCOT, got in a photo:

...and then over to see the Village People. Now back in the 70's you wouldn't have seen me dead at one of their gigs but tonight was a great party.

Following on from the Village People we headed into Japan and I ended parting with large amounts of money - DW for scrapbooking - DD ended up with a Kimono.

We finished the evening by watching the fireworks (again) and then driving back to the SSR where we picked up the traditional evening coffee and Fanta.

Saturday 27th October

Today we got up and, yes it was raining again. So I have to do the sprint across to the Artist's Palette to pick up the teas and sprite whilst DW and DD get up in slow time.

We had decided on a little retail therapy today so once breakfast was finished we drove firstly to Joannes, where Avonia cleared my bank balance, and then onto the Premium Outlets. Boy, was the parking manic! We were lucky as we were turning a corner a kind person shouted that they were just leaving, so we got a spot straight away.

We were very disappointed with Premium Outlets though. It seemed to be full of chavs and hoodies all hanging around in groups. DD managed to get a couple of t-shirts and we got a couple of pins from the Disney Store, but that was about it. It was drizzling at about this time so we decided to drive back to the SSR (attracting the attention of a young family on the way to give them our parking slot).

We had a lunch snack at SSR and then decided to go to Typhoon Lagoon. Yes it was raining but the temperature was 84F and we were going to get wet anyway, so what the heck.

Once in, it was straight over to Crush 'n' Gusher. However, the first run down wasn't as it should be. DD & I got the double ring and set off. We went over the second "hump" and I was thrown out of the ring (except for my right leg) and was dragged the rest of the way down. Take it from me, it hurts, especially when you go over the grids. I grazed my back quite badly. Should I have reported it and claimed "compensation"? Hell No! I 'm English and in WDW for fun, so DD checks out my back: "Have I got any lumps of skin hanging off?", "No", "Am I bleeding?", "No, just badly grazed". "OK, lets do it again." So it's back up the steps and on for another run. This time I held on more tightly.

We had a few sessions on the Tidal wave and then decided to call it a day. Back to the SSR to freshen up.

Tonight we had our ADR at the Kona Café. This was our first time here, and I must say what a great place and great service. Truly wonderful food.

Now how do these new fangled eating implements work?

We the took the monorail over to the MK to have a couple of quality hours over there before returning to the Poly to pick the car up:

Suitably fed and entertained, we took the short drive back to SSR to pick up our coffees and sprite before turning in for the night.
