Crazy day yesterday and last night...
First of all, Joe got his new 2015 Honda Pilot! Has all the bells and whistles with tan leather interior and the vehicle color is a dark Crimson red. Perfect for Mr. Roll Tide, haha!
So we are leaving for dinner last night when we notice 10 cop cars and a fire truck surrounding a building of 8 townhomes at the end of the street in our subdivision. There was a cop car in each driveway and two others blocking the road. There was also a bunch of people sitting on the grass. While we weren't sure what was happening, we thought there may have been a fire but we didn't see any smoke. So we come home from dinner, only two cop cars left but all of the neighbors are out on our street talking. Found out from them that it was a gunpoint hostage situation in the next section/building of townhomes! They had just moved in 3 days ago, got into a fight, the guy was armed - no one really knows all the details but everyone was buzzing with speculation. Apparently he surrendered, no shots were fired and no one was hurt (thank goodness!)
Other than a stream of robberies from some punk teenagers in 2013, nothing has happened like this before! It is a gated community with 24 hour roving patrol but even they couldn't see this coming. That's Friday the 13th for ya!

Drop off my car for service
Off to the mall with Joe for shopping, lunch and to see The 2nd Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
Steak and Salad for dinner
Tomorrow:
Strip bed
Start laundry
Scrap
Chicken for dinner
