Just wondering what I can expect from the weather when I get to Disney this Friday. If anyone has been there this week, what was the weather like? Has it been rainy? And if so, was it sporadic showers or all-day affairs? I'll have a great time regardless, but I'd like to be prepared!!!

Many thanks!

We just got back on Sunday the 17th, the weather was hot and humid with lots of rain... Florida is having a very wet summer, be prepared with ponchos or rain gear..it rained everyday we were there and it rained for hours at a stretch.

yep........returned yesterday......and rained nearly every day.......thunderstorms that lasted for anything from 30 mins to all day on our last day.
Bring ponchos and waterproof shoes ( I purchased teva sandals and merrill sandals for my family, and we lived in them, comfy to walk in even when wet)
The rain does clear some of the crowds tho.

We were told by the bus driver that it usually rains between 3 and 5 pm everyday. I think the few days where we missed the rain we got a longer soaking the following day.
Was still a great time tho and you do dry out quickly.

Usually the last week of August going into september the weather becomes abit better and there usually isn't as much rain. well that how its been for the past few years that we went at this time

Check out www.orlandoweather.com, they have many different radars for Florida, and there is a web cam of Downtown Orlando. I've been checking it the past few days and the rain systems seem to not be as bad as earlier this month.

this is a web cam from the Swan and Dolphin hotel, you can see Epcot aswell. There is a timelapse camera of the previous day. and yesterday seemed quite good, with regards to not as much rain.

I'll be at WDW from Monday so i've been checking the weather
alot.

Have a great time anyway.

Thanks, guys! Ponchos, umbrellas, and rain gear it is! I appreciate all of your help! :D

We saw a LOT of rain. Sometimes it was just a couple of hours, sometimes it drizzled all night. We bought our ponchos at the dollar store and used them a lot. We could fold them up and put them in our fanny packs, no problem. We were sneakers and socks, and the sneakers would stay wet for about 12 hours afterwards, I was really wishing I had my sandles.

We still had a great time. We skipped through the rain and splashed through the puddles and didn't understand the people who seemed bummed about it. We sang "It's a WET world after all" while walking to our busses. Sometimes vacation is just an attitude not a place!

The one big bummer is that we missed a lot of parades because of the rain. We would have stood in the rain and watched, but they were frequently cancelled. We only saw Spectro and AK parade, but had planned to see them all. Oh, well, just an excuse to go back again, right?

Have a magical wet trip.
