The weather has been great lately, but....

our forecast calls for 8-12" of snow, starting tonight. :sad2:

My bleeding heart is poking it's nose out, the 'Pardon Me' daylilies have broken through, the columbines and coral bells are showing some new growth, and now, after just getting rid of it all, snow......yuck!

Hopefully you won't get that much snow. I would like to have a few days or a week of snow at our house, but if it snowed all winter, I would be sad since I wouldn't be able to garden and such.

EWWW, more snow???? Our snow is almost gone but we are expecting flooding rains here this weekend. April showers bring May flowers. what do floods bring?

We had one absolutely gorgeous day this past week. It was enough to coax daffidols out, and they are blooming everywhere. I'm tempted to bring a bouquet to Boston when I leave later today. Tomorrow is Maura's Christening. It will be good to see the family, we haven't since Thanksgiving.

There was snow/slush in the forecast for today, but it's just rain and that's better for traveling. Yes, I see that there are flood warnings/watches around Boston, I hope nothing bad comes of that.

None of my vegetable seeds have germinated, and it's been a week, I was late planting them this year, and they seem to be taking their cue from me.
Well, maybe they'll be up when we return from Boston.

Have a good weekend, all!

Bobbi :flower:

It's coming down fast and furious, but thankfully the accumulation has been downgraded to 2-4". :) Unfortunately, it's very heavy, and my poor cedars are bent double, yet again. :(

I don't know Vanessa, a lot of mud and muck? ;)

Only one gorgeous day, Bobbi? The daffodils must look great! Still a little while before we enjoy that sight! Have a good time (and safe drive) at Maura's Christening. :)

Snowwark, I do not miss those days! My favorite nursery back in Michigan is having their annual Spring Kickoff Weekend today and tomorrow, so I know it is probably snowing like crazy - always does!

The problem we are having right now is rain - inches and inches every week for the past couple of weeks. My flower beds just sit in water for hours afterwards. It has been dry (and beautiful) the past few days, but woke up this morning to a heavy downpour of rain. :( My mulch is flowing onto the sidewalks and driveway, and it is surrounded by edging! So much water, it just flows right over the top. Regular rain is OK, but these monsoons have got to stop!! (The grass likes it tho!)

Blub blub blub:fish:It's pouring here today with 50mph wind. Everything is flooded or more flooded. We had a break yesterday. DH put in some peas and spinach seeds. They're probably floating around in the garden. He also planted my new Disneyland rose bush:) just in time :goodvibes

Sorcerormickey, sounds like you need an ark!! I'm sorry that things are such a soggy mess! Is the rainfall you've received so far more than normal for this time of year?

I was in your lovely State a few weeks ago, and the weather was VERY damp! :umbrella:

Deb, I hope your new Disneyland rose doesn't float away! Of course we'll be expecting to see pics in a couple of months. ;) :)

It's still a mess around here, with 4 more inches expected, on top of the 6-8 we've already received!!! It almost looks like a blizzard outside right now! Yuck!

:umbrella: This Disneyland rose was a birthday present from DH. I've been waiting 7 months for it to be shipped from J&P. The rain was so bad last night our sump pump couldn't keep up. We had to put in a pool pump to help it out for a few hours. Today it's just soggy and cold. Disneyland is saturated.

Kim, I hope you can trade your snow shovel in for your garden spade soon.

Is the snow likely to stick around Kim? Maybe it will be a short lived event.

We have been having a very very dry winter - very little snow, not near as much rain as is normal, and it is going to be dry this summer as a result.

The weather has just been awful. All this rain could have been snow, though, and just the thought of it gives me the shivers.

Hope spring is finally on its way!
