6 Nights In POP Century and 8 mights In Bahama Bay Resort

Day 1 - Dec 13th/07
We head off from home (Toronto ,Canada) to Buffalo,New York to catch our flight (Southwest Airlines.....$700 for all 4 of us compared to $400 per person flying out of Toronto. Its worth the 2-1/2 hr drive).
Its 0 degrees celcius and about 9-30am.
About an hour into the trip snow begins to fall and the roads become quite slushy. We stop for coffee about halfway and then back on the road arriving at the border at about 12-30pm. The cross over is no problem but the roads are a mess.

We decide to go to the Buffalo Walmart to pick up a few things (we need for home) and leave in the car for the duration. We were intending on going to the Walden Galleria Mall but decided to go straight to the airport instead because of the worsening weather. We park in the very busy preferred parking (mostly Canadians) and check the bags at the Southwest Airlines desk (with a 4 hour wait till our flight).I checked in online the previous day because 24 hr checkin is allowed. We look at the few shops in the aiprt and have some lunch (its such a pleasure to leave from a small, quieter airport....uinlike our local aiport in Toronto which is a disaster at the best of times). We are lucky that our flight takes off on time because the attendants mentioned many flights throughout the North East USA were being cancelled.
Using the online checkin process we get A passes which allow us to walk on the plane and choose any seat we want. We get the front row and enjoy the 2hr 15 min flight which is even more enjoyable because we can stretch our legs out.
The disembarking process is very quick (no customs to go through) and we have picked up our suitcases and on our way across to the paking garage within 20 mins.
We use Alamo as our car rental supplier and doing the online checkin in advance allows us to walk up the Intermediate aisle and choose a car of our liking. They happened to mix Full Size cars in the Intermediate aisle so we luck out with a Buick Lacrosse.
An easy drive to POP arriving about 10pm. Checkin is a breeze and we are given a surprise package containg $40 of dining coupons. :)

The kids go to the food cort to pick up pizza and refillable mugs for all. We are given the 70s Building ,ground floor rooms 130 and 131 (connecting rooms,as requested). Unpack and into bed at midnight.

Great start. I always like it when they put the higher "grade" cars with the lower.

Great start.

Love your photo. Is this merged or taken panormaically with the camera?

This photo was taken with my sons new camera. Its quite clever.
You take a photo then when you are setting up for the second photo you see the image of the first photo so you try and match up the "join" as close as you can.You then take the third photo in the same manner. The build in software then knits the 3 images together automatically so that you cannot see the joins.
