The Wave or Kona Cafe?

Love your idea of a steakhouse at CRT - hubby would be all over that! Tiger :)
The Concourse steakhouse... a really good, not mobbed, location...was eliminated when they added "the Wave"...

Did i mention the crab cakes? 2 members of our party had them - and they were by far the fishiest, nastiest crabcakes i've ever had the displeasure of experiencing....
..long john silvers grade..or less

If I were going for lunch I would go to Kona and for dinner I would go with The Wave. The Wave has a lot of healthy options which is my main criteria when choosing a restaurant. I like Kona for lunch because it has an Asian Noodle Bowl that is great.

Maybe it was just me....

But Kona is great and the the Wave is awful....

I don't know...the menu makes no sense and our meal their last year was one of the poorest quality food experiences i've ever had at WDW....it was more like Six Flags

It seems like it was trying to be a poor man's California Grill (yes...that is a paradox....no "poor men" eat at WDW)...and it was a completely dumb idea...

You know what they should have put in the Contemp? A STEAKHOUSE...now there was an idea....

Or a dedicated moderately priced seafood location...which they have zero of on property
Don't know if you were being sarcastic or not, but they closed the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary and put The Wave in it's place.

It wasn't "full -on" sarcasm....more like playfullly glib...

I always like to point out the irony of when they replace something that was simpler and better with something that is much lesser quality....

The nine redos to Imagination! being another fine example

Yup, we loved the Concourse Steakhouse and miss it very much (we ate here many times) - but it's now gone, so that's why I agreed with your idea of a steakhouse in a new format. Funny enough, we never had steak there though - I did have steak sandwiches and they were yummy.:thumbsup2

I can't eat seafood, so I don't have that experience to draw from, sorry you experienced that. But, from much reading on these boards over the past 10 years, seafood is something that is a challenging area for Disney Dining. I've even read of complaints at Signatures, where seafood is the star dish.

Thanks for the discussion, Tiger :)
