Hi,

I was wondering if I could get some opinions on the Wave. I'd like to know if the food is good and if it's good for kids too. I like that we can walk from MK to the restaurant so that's definitely a plus, but just hoping to get opinions on the actual menu. I also have a reservation at the Crystal Palace and was trying to decide between the two. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank goodness for these boards - I don't know what I'd do without them!!!

We absolutely love the Wave for all meals. The food quality is far more superior than that of CP but also a very different experience. Depends on the ages of the kids too, but there are plenty of options for the kids here as well. My dd loves their freshly baked biscuits. You can check out the menu on allearsnet.com and I also have a review posted on my website below. We see plenty of children there when we dine of all ages.:thumbsup2

Nearly all restaurants in WDW are kid friendly. Take a look at the menu and see if there is something your kids will like before you make the reservation.

We ate there last year. The food was very good. I had a pasta with shrimp (it also had littleneck clams, but I asked for shrimp only because I don't really like clams). DH had the sustainable fish with edameme. OK, both dishes were great, but I LOVED DH's fish dish. It was so so so so good. Even though mine was fantastic, I was a little jealous. We also had graet wine flights. Dessert was good too - we shared a chocolate trio. We were on DDP, but DH didn't feel like dessert other than a taste. We had crabcakes for an appetizer and I remember liking them. :)

The Wave is fine for kids. My kids actually behaved horribly at The Wave - I had to take them out 2-3 times - but I think they were overstimulated from their first full day at MK. But the restaurant itself was very kid friendly and the waitstaff was understanding.

what was good for kids there?? Anything different from the other TS restaurants? I have noticed that most 1credit TS places have the same things to eat....any good recommendations for kids? I am interested in hearing more about The Wave:goodvibes

We were at the Wave the last two years in a row and we loved it. The restaurant was very kid friendly - the first year our kids were overtired and cranky, the second year they were excited and bouncy. There was enough space between our table and others that our kids didn't bother anyone.

We had our son's bday celebration there and the waitstaff brought out his special cake for him. They were great. :)

The kids menu is similar to most table service restaurants in Disney. The food on the adult menu was delicious and my son enjoyed trying the food off our plates. We got our kids the specialty kid drinks from the menu and they each got light up Disney characters on their kids straw. :cutie:

There is a kids menu for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast. Just click on them and you can see the full menu choices. My dd is 12 and she loves the Wave and always asks to go there whenever we go to WDW.:thumbsup2 It has been on our must-do list for more than 2 yrs now.

We were just there for breakfast on Friday. They now have a buffet for breakfast (with Mickey waffles too;-)...it was very good.

thanks for the info! Older DS will order off the Adults menu, but not younger DS...what did your DD like off the menu? Sorry OP to hijack the thread. This is giving us possibly an option on one of our MK days:flower3:

No problem! The more information I can get, the better. Glad to hear there's a children's menu. :)
