Pete mentioned that he did a special DVC member dinner at the Wave then went to the TOTWL for MK fireworks viewing. I can’t find that on DVC website. Is it still available?

I don't know, I'd never heard of it, either. It does sound interesting.

There's a review of it on disboards somewhere. When I was there in February, I went up to TOTWL three times for fireworks, and saw that there were not many people in the roped off corner of the balcony assigned to this event. I believe you have to be a blue card member to book it. My wife and I looked at the limited menu and decided we would just go to The Wave as regular patrons with our normal DVC discount, and then up to TOTWL as normal DVC members, instead of booking this special package.

If you do a search, you will find a few reviews.
I'm always up for trying a new experience at Disney but I can't book this.
I just don't understand why I would book this when I can go to the Wave at the time of my choosing and then go up to ToTW for the fireworks? I think those that have done it said okay or if they did it, would just do on their own next time.

Hmmm...Thanks for the link. Our group has already booked the Dessert Party at MK, which I would assume is a much better view than from the the top of BLT and also probably better for this particular group as there are two in their 60s that haven't been to Disney before...but I'm sure the food at the wave is better. If they offer it again next year, I may do it.

Thank you for all the info and the link. At this time it isn't offered during our visit so I guess I don't have a decision to make :)

The issue with the package is that 1 - it's not difficult to get into TOTWL to view the fireworks and 2 - the Wave is not a difficult reservation to get either. And you get a dining discount there just being a DVC member. So you can create a similar "package" yourself for the same or maybe even lower cost.

It also allowed members who were not staying onsite to access TOTWL and was available for any member on the blackout dates. But if neither applied then there wasn't much if any benefit to doing it.
