It seems most people on this board doesn't use them, and I was wondering why? Tell me about it, where do you catch the water taxi from RPR? How often does it run? :confused3 Of course we wouldn't mind walking, but I thought the kids would enjoy using the water taxi at least a couple of times.

The water taxi boards at the end of a path next to the pool. There are boats coming and going all day from a couple hours before park opening to the wee hours of the morning when the CityWalk club hoppers decide to go back to their rooms. It may be a 5 minute wait between boats (I can't remember for sure). At the time you would most likely want to go to the parks, at opening time, they tend to be very busy, and you may have to wait for a while to get on. We always found it to be quicker and more peaceful to walk. The walking path at the RPR is well shaded and it's not all that far from CityWalk; it comes out right next to Margaritaville. We even chose to walk back to RPR one afternoon when it was raining, because we would rather be moving in the rain than standing in a long uncovered line waiting for a water taxi to pick us up.

There's piped in music on board and sometimes the captain chats with the riders and can be entertaining. It's a nice way to sit back and take in the scenery if you don't feel like walking along the path. Your kids would enjoy the ride or the pathway.

We stayed at RPR last December and used the boats every time we went to the parks. My son has walking problems(ankle problems/also autistic) and he loved the boat! It was one of his favorite things to do at the resort. It is a really pretty ride and I enjoyed it too.

We just returned 2 weeks ago and stayed at HRH. We rode the boat everyday to and from the parks. My two boys 4,12 loved it. It gives you a chance to talk about what you are going to do when you get to the parks. You'll get enough walking in when you get to the parks take every oppurtunity to take it easy when you can.

Thanks everyone! :thumbsup2 I agree about taking the opportunity to not walk when you get the chance, but also if there is a long line for the boat, I'll just walk.

We ride on them all the time there. The breeze is really nice when you are riding.
