The Walking Dead on AMC

Remember season 1 when Rick went back to his home after escaping the hospital. Didn't he look for the photo albums, and then realized that Lori had taken them with her when she left? Am I remembering it correctly?

I wonder what happened to those pictures?

I was wondering about that too. I would ASSUME that she couldn't have taken ALL of them...but that's assuming that Lori had as many photo's as we do...boxes and boxes and albums...but who knows. There are many places they could have gotten lost getting out of Atlanta or in other places.

Loved last nights episode. It was funny how stoic they all were when passing the hitchhiker. It just shows how immune they are to humanity, like you can't trust anyone. A year ago, they would have welcomed him to the group.

I have to say I did chuckle more than just a little bit when they were getting unstuck from the mud and the guy comes running around the corner screaming, "Hey! WAIT! HELP!" It was like they couldn't get rid of him. They all kind of rolled their eyes, climbed in the car and took off. cold!

This really bothered me but then if they are going to have a battle with the Governor, many innocent people from the town are going to die. I think that is why the hitchhiker was significant in this episode.

The webisode series on the Walking Dead/AMC website this season took place at a storage facility, and the main character was in the Grimes' storage locker, and happened to find a bunch of their family pictures. So there are more somewhere.

Also, in the episode before the farm was overrun, the group unloaded all of their stuff into Herschel's house because they were moving in for the winter. Unfortunately, they had to escape the farm the very next day. Worst timing ever!

Really loved this episode and was happy that they finally gave us an ending for Duane and Morgan (albeit a very sad, depressing one-but I don't expect happy endings with The Walking Dead).

I found it interesting about the differences between Duane and Morgan and Carl and Rick.

Carl has turned into a little soldier-the group respects him and he goes on runs with his Dad (and by himself). He had no problem shooting Morgan and shot his own mother in the head to prevent her from turning.

Duane was protected by his Dad-Morgan didn't want him going into the cellar with him. And, then when it came time to shoot his mom-he couldn't do it.

I think Morgan feels a lot of guilt for not going with Rick when he had the chance...

I agree - night and day differences. I thing Morgan feels a lot of guilt over a lot of things - not going with Rick; not shooting his wife from the get-go; not having Duane go into that cellar.... He's let that guilt completely eat away his sanity. I'm so sad. I was hoping for a much better outcome - i.e. having them join the group - when we finally caught back up with Morgan and Duane.

I have an observation...has anyone ever seen it rain? Seasons change?:confused3

There is an 8-month gap between seasons 2 and 3 where it is implied they were on the run through the winter. It was getting colder toward the end of season 2 because I remember them being cold.

But no, no rain. Hmmm.

To be fair, it doesn't rain THAT often in Georgia.

It did rain at least once in the first season, when Rick and Glenn were covered in zombie-goo trying to get out of the city...it washed their goo away.

Oh, right! I forgot about that! Hmmm, so it only rains when it is convenient to the plot. Interesting. ;)

hubby's favorite song to sing at Karaoke: Rainy Night in Georgia, by Brook Benton.

(seems like every time wedrive through tennessee or Georgia, it's raining!:rolleyes1)

I started watching Episode 1, Season 1 last week on Netflix.
I am now all caught up! I even bought every Season 3 episode I needed to get caught up in iTunes.
My new favorite show!!!! Love it!!!!

yes, that is the only time I clearly remember it raining.

Oh, and one other thing that really affected me about the episode is the hitchhiker.

Their reaction was so different than what it would have been a couple of seasons ago...it was kind of sad, but necessary in their world.

Me too!

And it is Tyrese-- I get the feeling that eventually they will come to their senses and get back with Rick's group. Did you see the way The Governor was looking at Sasha? I bet he does something to her to show what a wack-job he is, and she and Tyrese leave.

I, too, think that Tyrese will come to his senses. I don't know if I was just seeing things, but there was a very subtle look from Sasha when Tyrese said he would help them with the layout of the prison.

I don't think Sasha trusts the governor in the least, but I think Tyrese is so desperate to stay safe (especially with his daughter), that he would do anything to stay in the town..

The other two, I'm pretty sure, are dead either way. On the Talking Dead, Chris said they might as well have red shirts on or something to that effect (referencing Star Trek and the extras that went along with the crew on missions and always died). :lmao:

The preview for the next show shows Rick and Daryl and Hershel trying to sneak into Woodbury, and Hershel is left all alone in the car. I thought that maybe the Governor would kidnap him, and possibly torture or kill him, then when Tyrese and Sasha see what a jerk he's being to the old-one-legged guy who was very nice and civil to them at the prison, they might defect?

I sure hate to think about poor Hershel having to suffer anymore...isn't it enough the guy lost a leg from a zombie attack and it had to be hacked off by Rick?

But, I have a bad feeling about it. So, yeah, I can see something happening to Hershel..

But Hershel is their moral compass. They need him. He's the new Dale.
