Where are all the baby/children walkers? Did anyone else expect to see some when Daryl and Maggie went to find formula and diapers at that Daycare center? A Daycare and nothing but a possum?

The lack of baby and children walkers is weird through-out the series.

Also, I think Rick lost it when he found that bullet due to him knowing the gun Carl was carrying.

I think the only questionable death is Carol. I have a feeling we'll be seeing her again.

I hope Carol is alive but I don't think anyone in the group thinks she is. Didn't Carl list Carol as one of the possible names for the baby. And then Daryl went and left that flower, which was very meaningful between them two (was it a called a Cheyenne rose or something like that?), at one of the graves (the one he thinks of as Carol's).
Also I loved Daryl even more after seeing him with the baby. He was just so sweet.
And how creepy is the governor, that was so weird with his daughter.

I think Carol is alive, too, and will be PO'd that they didn't even try to look for her and get her to safety...especially Daryl.

The very first walker we saw in the opening scene of the pilot was a child, a little girl Rick killed with a robe and slippers. So, they have shown at least one child.

Finally watched the episode last night and it struck me as Rick answered the phone that there are now 2 things that are certain in the event of an apocalypse:

If it's nuclear, cockroaches will rule the world

If it's a zombie apocalypse, telemarketers are apparently immune. :)

WOW what a crazy episode!

Rick's insane. I thought he was going to kill Glenn! :scared1: I think Daryl should definitely be the new leader.

I'm also a bit confused about Lori's entire body being gone. :confused3 It's not that I don't believe that the walker could have eaten her, bones and all, but it's the time. There were 3 (?) walkers on T-Dog when he sacrificed himself and he still had bones left. I don't know how long he was being eaten, but it couldn't have been too long anyway. Rick ran in to find Lori almost as soon as he saw Maggi, Carl and the baby come out. I will go ahead and assume that even though he had to find her, it couldn't have taken him long enough for one walker to completely devour an adult woman.

Daryl was swoon worthy with that baby!

I was creeped out by that phone call!! Can't wait till next week.

Yeah it shouldn't be a Rick-tatorship anymore it should be a Daryl-ocracy! Lol

Rick must have been in the prison for quite awhile before he found that walker though. Glenn had already had time to dig an entire grave, before he went in to find Rick, and it wasn't until after that, that Rick found where Lori had been? If I am remembering the timeline correctly.

The more I think about it...I think you're right!

Soooo...nevermind. :lmao:

We've batted around the idea of Carol being alive - somewhere in the prison...I haven't seen anyone write that maybe she had been bit and is now a walker. To me, if she had gone out the door she had open, how did she lose her headwrap... or how did the guys in the yard (Hershel & Co.) not see her?

I'm pretty sure that Carol is still going to be alive, at least I hope so anyway!

She might have just HAD to make a run straight for the woods, though it seems you still wouldn't want to leave the prison. She might not have known where everyone else had run off to though. I can understand her getting lost simply out of panic. I just really hope that they find her.

we will find out about Carol not this week, but the next week after.

I read that we'll find out in episode 6, which is next week. If the spoilers are right, I am REALLY looking forward to that scene.

And I'm happy that it's not going to be a seemingly never-ending mystery, like it was with Sophia.

i posted by going by what was said by greg n., director, on the talking dead sunday night.

he said the next episode wouldn't have carol in it but the episode after that would reveal info on Carol.

it really doesn't matter to me which episode will reveal the carol info.
i'll be watching WD the entire season!

I know others have wondered about the lack of children walkers but I just have to say that I am glad there haven't been many, it makes me so sad. I think the main reason the show doesn't feature that many is because people (like me) are very sensitive to violence towards children even if we all know it's fake and it's a zombie, not a human child. It's just hard to watch. The scene where the group find Sofia and Rick has to shoot her had me crying like a baby. The scene with the governor and his zombie daughter made me so sad and uncomfortable when he put the bag over her head. maybe it's just me :confused3 When Daryl and Maggie went to the daycare center I turned to my hubby and said "oh dear god, no. I don't know if I can watch this part".

Finally, a place to obsessively discuss The Walking Dead!!

It has been a good season so far, but these last few episodes have have a few problems.

Of course, the walker eating Lori whole, as no precedence has been set for that behavior- hopefully it will be explained soon! And what was that metal bit Rick found where her body was? I guessed bullet from Carl, my BF said it was her wedding ring. If it was the ring, why did the walker not eat that along with her clothes and bones?

And where could Carol have gone? This could have been an oversight by the show, but after Rick and crew find her headscarf, the next door they come out of leads them to the main prison yard where Hershel and Beth were, and surely they would have noticed Carol. Where else could an outside door lead where she could be missing for a few episodes? She needs to live so she and Daryl can confess their love!!

Amazing show! I have asked for the graphic novels for Christmas.

Yes, the bullet or casing from Carl's gun. The bones from Lori are a bit troublesome for me too but when I went back and saw the video on AMC they specifically said bones were protruding from the walkers throat. I don't know, I didn't notice the bones or the hair they spoke about. I thought it was weird too that he ate all of her, no remains.

I'm trying to work out whats up with Carol - in the coming attractions they find her knife too. Guess we wait and see but I also would really like it if she is found alive!

What are the graphic novels? The comic books? I think I may start reading that too. Can't get enough! :)

According to the director of this last episode (he was on The Talking Dead), Rick found the bullet casing from when Carl shot Lori. He said that Rick will carry that casing in his shirt pocket for the rest of this season.

The director also talked about Daryl putting that flower "on Carol's grave" (did he let something slip?) but Carol wasn't in the "In Memorial" section on TTD. :confused3 So we're still left wondering for another week or two if the grave is empty or if it does contain her remains.

That daycare really made me sad. It was jarring to see all those little handprints and to know that most of the hands that made them could now belong to walkers. :sad1:
