I think the way he said it, though, using "we" instead of "I" was very impersonal. She said she was hoping he'd come out there to "talk about 'us'." And when he patted her on the back and said, "we're grateful" it was kind of like closing the door on their relationship.

I have to say, I stood up and cheered when Rick did what he did. It was so unexpected, and maybe he's going a little down the "Shane Path", but I think he did what he needed to to keep his group safe. That guy was a nutcase!

I'm guessing the one that he threw out into the yard will come back at some point. I love the characters that may come back. I am trying to remember what happened to Merle? I have to go back and watch......Gosh wasn't that season 1?

He was handcuffed to a pipe on the top of the building in season 1. The walkers were about to get him. He cut off his own hand and escaped. Well, they didn't actually show him escape so we didn't know if he survived.

Dale was killed by the walker that Carl didn't kill. He was in the field and the walker got him.

Yes I wonder if the guy that got thrown into the courtyard was the person who was spying on Carol. Especially since we didn't actually see him die.

Of course, even people who die in this show can come back.

I was half expecting that to turn into the Tyrone in the gym scene from the comic... They walk away, assuming he's dead, and come back to find he's killed the whole mess of walkers.

Well it certainly sounded like he died. He was small and unarmed and there were quite a few walkers out there. I don't think that prisoner made it.

The spying person...I'm quite sure it was someone from that Woodbury community. It's not like anyone in the area didn't see the prison or wouldn't ever stumble upon it.

I agree, that guy didn't make it. He had nowhere to go, too many walkers, and the screams really cinched it.

I was thinking the spying person was Merle, Michonne or The Governer.

I cheered too! I don't see Rick changing toward Shane tendencies. That guy last night killed in a frenzy a man he lived with for a year in close quarters. Then he was told do not open both doors and he did - then he pushed Rick into a walker on purpose. Rick is just doing what he has to as always.

Wondering if the other 2 in that group will meet the same fate or join Rick's group.

His son Carl though seems darker.

I don't think it is any of them. The Governor tells Michonne to tell him where the rest of the group is. She has never met any of them, and it has been at least 6 months since Anderea has seen them. They have no idea they are at the prison. As for Merle, I thought so at first, but then he is in Woodbury, and I don't see the Governor letting him stray too far away.

Even though the skinny guy screamed a lot, I still think it may be him. At one point one of the teaser ads shows someone letting all of the walkers into the prison grounds. That would be the perfect thing for him to do to get even with Rick.

Yep, that's why I think the guy from the courtyard may have lived. In the teaser, the person who opens the gate is wearing a prison jumpsuit. So it may be some other prisoner, but it would make sense for it to be the guy from the courtyard, exacting revenge on Rick.

Anyway, they showed a sneak peek at next weeks episode and...........Merle is back!!! It looked like he was kidnapping Andrea and Michonne. Andrea was groggy and she looks up and it's Merle. He puts a finger up to his mouth as if to say "shhhhhh"

Can't wait.

So bizarro. They are introducing a whole lot of characters this season. It's going to be hard to keep track. I am wondering what up with the Governor. Like is he on a power trip? World domination? It's kind of creepy seeing the town all normal- the old people sitting on the bench freaked me out for some reason.
