How far do the comic books go? Is the Governor in the comic books, if so, what is his basic story line?

I don't want to say too much, both because I don't want to give anything away and because I suspect his story will have some significant differences in the show compared to the comic, but I'll say this much... He was much more disturbed, brutal, and sadistic in the comic than anything we've seen of him yet in the show.

Exactly. When he went in to that room I sat right up and was like "ooooh....oh.....oh....hmmmmm interesting." If you've read the comics like I have you know what I was waiting for. This is really interesting though. I do like that I'm kept a little out of the loop by them not following the comics exactly but I know there are certain things I'm really hoping DO happen!! :rotfl2:

I just finished watching last nights show, again, and realized that the head in the top aquarium is the soldier that they saved at the helicopter wreak. What the heck is going on? He was doing fine. Why did they kill him?

I'm assuming its because the Governor wants to stay in control and a group of soldiers might want to take over.

I thought it might be him, but I wasn't sure, glad I am not the only one who thought so.

It was him. I went back to check last night (I watch the episodes twice lol) and it was him. You could tell for sure by the bandaid on his right side of his head.

Oh good! Can you tell me what Micchione said when Andrea asked her why she was able to behead the 2 zombies that were always with them? I missed her answer.

she said something like, "it really wasn't a hard thing to do".

What is the deal with the tea? Why does it seem important? The strange Dr. in the basement with the Governor mentioned it. Then when they were at breakfast the next day he asked Andrea and Michionne about it. Maybe I am just reading into something that isnt there. :confused3

like another poster answered, the tea has nothing to do with the show.
it is an inside joke to one of the writers.

I thought the head in the top jar was important because the zoomed in on it. I didn't realize it was the helicopter pilot.

FOr those who read the comics, do the comic books end, or are they still being written?

And all the heads were still "active". Eye movement there, a mouth movement there. Ick! That means they even let the pilot turn then beheaded him. I think he is saving them for experimentation.

Very creepy. I think he also had the 2 that Micchione beheaded as well.

They're still being written. I buy the compilation volumes rather than individual issues and right now I have book 17, which will be issues 97-101 (I think) of the monthly comic, on pre-order for its Dec release.

Finally a villian I can enjoy watching. I enjoyed season 1 Shane, but season 2 went off the rails for him. The governor is going to be awesome. Still on team Rick but I am salivating for the showdown between the two and the reunion of Merle and Daryl.
