The walking dead amc #2

I agree with mostly this. Replace Maggie with Carl, and I think you've got your list of untouchables.

I honestly think a couple of seasons ago, that yes, "no one on the show is ever safe". I think AMC, the writers, creators, showrunner(s), et all know that this show is a goldmine. It's reached unprecedented viewership ratings (many times). The fan base is unreal. I think they know that there is no way they can kill an untouchable off at this point. Too much to lose.

I think the only way an untouchable will get killed off is if they want out of their contract.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if Carl should be added making it 7 untouchables, but I think you are right, I don't think they would kill of Carl.

I said it upthread, but I think the show has backed themselves into a corned. They have been known for killing off major characters in the first few seasons. It was shocking, but the fans were not really too attached to them yet. But now, at season 6, the fans are invested in these characters. Killing them off would be detrimental to the show. There are t-shirts that say "If Daryl dies we riot." But the fans have come to expect it. I think this was their answer to killing an untouchable without actually killing an untouchable. We all go through the emotions, anger, sadness etc. Then he comes back. Everyone is happy.

I thought we agreed a few pages back that if someone is going to post comic book story lines it would be prefaced with *****COMIC BOOK SPOILER/STORYLINE/WHATEVER AHEAD***** to give those of us who wish to opt out of reading that information the opportunity to do so? :confused3

We did. I learned too there is a spoiler button, which is pretty cool actually. It's under the insert button choices.

Holy smokes! i do recall Glenn was out of bullets, but Nicholas was too? MUST watch again!!

I read an article about it - I'm not sure. Seems an odd choice from the writers to handle it as a hallucination. On the other hand, it seems an odd sequence of events in general. Nicholas thanks Glenn, shoots himself and then causes Glenn's death? I dunno. I just can't imagine the writers thinking that one up unless there was something more to it.

I'm still thinking he's alive, but the more time goes on, the more I'm just not sure. And if they do NOT clarify this in next week's 90 minute episode (and it appears that it will be the Morgan episode I've hoped for... just not NOW!), I will be seriously upset. Seriously.

What I found strange was that they were facing each other when Nicholas shot himself. He put the gun to his right temple and pulled the trigger, Glenn was then sprayed with blood on the right side of his head. Given their positioning and the direction of the shot, that seems impossible. Not the type of mistake I would think the directors would allow to happen.

Sorry, I fixed my "slip", saw stuff from comics being posted about Negan, the Wolves and Whisperers which many of these details aren't even on the show yet and posted about Rick without realizing...my apologies

I have one of those t-shirts :rolleyes1

Yes but Nicholas being in the Memoriam rules out hallucinations

Unless he died another way and the scene with Glenn was what Nicholas thought of as he was dying.

I think we could be seeing things out of sequence here. They've been doing this to us for all of season 6 so far.

:offtopic: I kind of feel bad for Michael Traynor. He's got three days of Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta to deal with this weekend. I'd hide from society if it were me. LOL!

I think they did say something about time-jumping and that this season things would be shown out of order at some point.

I don't remember who mentioned it a few pages back, but I agree that if they start getting crazy with the time jumping, I'm gonna have a hard time. I don't mind a little, but I hope they do it right!

And I hope that doesn't mean we have to just wait for this death to happen-having it hang over our heads!!

This makes sense, but I still think he is alive and they will have him die at the hands of Negan, or not at all. Also, as others have pointed out, he has been seen filming with characters Glenn has yet to meet so they would not be flash backs. I still say the 6 unkillables (rick, glenn, maggie, daryl, carol and michonne) will never be killed off.
I hope you are right! Glenn is an irreplaceable character :) And I think he represents one the last bits of compassionate humanity while still being able to survive in the new world (since Hershel and Beth are gone). Maggie is still here but the couple were stronger together.

I would like to think Judith is on that list
Didn't anybody read who Robert Kirkman said in an interview would be the one and only character they are saying they will not kill off?
Apparently he let a major (or brilliantly planned) spoiler out about Glenn as well.....

I thought Daryl was the only safe character. But maybe it's Judith.

Edit to add: read article and it's interesting!
