The walking dead amc #2

I agree Michonne did that because she though Rick was out of line, and not because she was jumping ship. But I do think we will see an internal divide. We already know Michonne, Glenn, Maggie have been very vocal about wanting Alexandria to work out for them and they don't fundamentally agree with how Rick handles some things. They've all been positive about Alexandria, while Rick along with Carol and Darryl have been playing it safe and not showing all their cards. I think we'll see internal arguments with Rich/Carol/Darryl versus Michonne/Glenn and possibly Maggie. While I don't think anyone will "switch sides" per se, they won't be agreeing with Rick & Carol's approach here, IMO.

Something interesting to me -
In previous seasons there was talk within the group about what you can and cannot come back from. Then in episode 15, "Forget", Daryl and Aaron are trying to get Buttons (the horse) and Daryl says to Aaron, " My group did. They weren't out there that long. The longer they're out there, the more they become what they really are."

I know he was referring back to a time when the group tried to get a horse but I took that also as the longer anybody is out there - out there being not in a safe environment where you can have parties, walk your dog, listen to music, bake cookies, etc. - the more they become what they really are.

There hasn't been much discussion of last night's episode but I think what we saw was just that - each individual becoming more of who they really are. With Rick, I think he's right, and Pete needs to stop hitting his family but he's on the crazy train now thanks to having been out there so long. I don't think pre-apocalypse he would have offered to kill someone's husband.

Glenn's transformation from average pizza delivery guy has been the most interesting for me. Which means Glenn dies. Not because I read a spoiler but because that's how this show goes. They keep killing off characters I like!

Yeah someone big is getting in in the finale. I am kinda hoping for Carol instead of Glenn, but not sure that is the case. I have a feeling it may be Glenn. I just feel like killing him now makes Maggie pointless.

I agree about Michonne hitting Rick to cool things off until they can regroup and come up with a plan. I will be excited to watch the finale. It was an at times slow season, but overall I am still enjoying it.

I'm not sure Michonne has turned against them but I'm taking she wanted to cool the situation down before something happened or Rick said or did somehting to jeopardize their stay. I feel like she has a motive for it

I think Michonne did that to Rick because she thought he was coming off as crazy. I think she felt she needed to stop him in order to prevent a huge fight from starting between the Alexandria people and Ricks people. They are walking on thin ice with Deanna and I think Michonne wants to keep the peace for now until they can figure out where to go from here.

Completely agree with these!

Is it just me or does it seem like too many people have died this season? To kill off another, and possibly a big character is really going to stink!

Yeah I think they did say something about it taking 6 months to build the wall, using materials from an unfinished shopping mall nearby. Since they were evacuated, anyone who died likely did so away from Alexandria. Now we are just seeing walkers who are slowly meandering through the country who happen to make their way there.

To my knowledge, Rick's group is the first group that Gabriel has encountered since the outbreak. We know he has guilt for shutting out his parishoners and I don't think he's been with any other humans since. So, when Rick & Co show up and are brutally killing zombies, I think it freaked him out. I don't think Fr Gabriel was even 100% convinced that zombies were dead and dangerous which is why he struggled with killing them. And then when Rick & Co kill the Terminus people inside the church, I think Fr Gabriel became even more wary of the group because he didn't understand that it's kill or be killed in the "real" world because he hadn't been in the world. And now with Gabriel in Alexandria and he sees these people who are more like him - not zombie savvy and not hardened from being on the road -- he feels compelled to blow in Rick & the gang. When really, they did what they needed to in order to survive. But Gabriel and Alexandria don't know that because they haven't had to truly life or death survive.

I read that Leviticus talks about the responsibilities of a priest. Does anyone know if this is correct?

He was going to repair a tear on the page. It was the second page of Leviticus. It had about a 3 inch year at the top. He also had a glue stick. He puts it down next to the bible when he first gets there.

He seemed fine until he saw that bowl of strawberries and the note. It was signed Rosemary, I think. Does anyone know what the organists name was at his church? Wondering if the name belonged to someone at his church and it brought it all back and he just snapped?

I think there are two things going on with Fr. Gabriel. (Who of course wasn't in last night's episode at all.) He's having a huge crisis of faith and I think it's easier for hime to blame that on Rick and the rest of the group. He also feels guilty about what happened to his parishoners and only Rick and the group know his secret. The gift of the strawberries shows that the Alexandrians think of him as a man of God and innocent soul.

I agree Michonne did that because she though Rick was out of line, and not because she was jumping ship. But I do think we will see an internal divide. I think Maggie and Glen know that they can't really stay there. I think they want to make it work, but know that the foundation is broken, so to speak. I do think that Rick could have handled everything with a lot more tact (suggesting to Deanna that they kill Pete?), but I suppose you really lose your people skills during a zombie apocolypse.

I see what you're saying and agree that pre-apocalypse, no way Rick would have offered to kill someone's husband. But that's Rick's whole point - you have to adapt to the world they are in now. Rick is doing that. I don't think Rick is becoming what he "really is", he's not a cold blooded killer, but he's adapting the way everyone needs to. The world they're in now has more decaying zombies that try to eat you than civilized humans, so you always have to be on guard. For the humans that are left in the world, chances are they are sizing you up and judging you by what they can take from you (I believe Rick even said this). The two groups they've recently come into contact with - Woodbury/Governor and Terminus - both ended terribly which further proves that. You can't trust anyone the way you could in the world before the ZA, so when a bad egg comes along, you need to eliminate it now before it progresses any worse. Rick realizes this now after seeing the way things ended up with the Governor and Terminus, when they had the chance to eliminate the threats and they didn't.

On another topic, another forum I frequent had a side by side screen shot of the dismembered body Darryl and Aaron stumbled across and the last image we saw of Morgan and they appear to be the same. Did anyone else catch that? I'll try to upload the image later, but it had similar clothing, skin tone, even down to Morgan's wedding band. It would be pretty anti-climactic if this is how Morgan ended up, but it would show us this new group the Wolves (speculation that's what they're called based on the foreshadowing) are bad business, especially considering how hardcore and prepared Morgan always was. I hope this isn't the case though, because I'd love to see Morgan team back up with Rick. Morgan gets it, and would buttress everything Rick has been trying to get across to the Alexandrians.

I think Maggie and Glenn have a false hope for the place, but I don't think they know it's a false hope. Maggie seems to have dove right in to her new role as Deanna's apprentice (?), and Glenn was pretty clear to Rick that they need to conform to try and fit in better. I think that was evidenced both by his conversation with Rick on the porch, and the way he handled Nicholas afterward. Glenn wants to stand his ground without burning bridges. In the previews for next week, which I know are often skewed, it shows dialogue between Rick and Glenn with Glenn asking him "is this what you wanted?"... we'll see what it means next week, but I took it to mean did Rick want this chaos within Alexandria and the Alexandrians turning against them. Rick has already said to Carol and Darryl that if things didn't work out there, they'd just take the place (and presumably kill all of the Alexandrians). I wouldn't be surprised if Glenn was onto that, and in disagreement of it.

*****POSSIBLE SPOILER*****

I think they could go without another big death, but based on what I am reading a major character is going to die in the SF.

I am ready to see Morgan again! I feel like they built us up to something happening and then he has just disappeared. I certainly hope we get to see him again, and not in a flashback kind of way.

Maybe Morgan will save Daryl from the bad group. They will get back to Alexandria and warn the others and they will look to rick for help. Maybe Carol gets killed by the wife beater and then Rick kills him?? I don't know there are so many possibilities.

maybe the W is really an M for Morgan?

Also, I don't think Rick is a bad guy but like another pp said, he is adapting to what the world has become.
He had two chances to kill the husband but didn't (had gun in his hand when the husband called his name, and then when they were fighting and he had the headlock on him).

Do we know a main character will be killed off in the finale? I have not heard a thing and usually they hype it up if there is going to be a big character death. I really don't think it will be Glenn, way to obvious of a choice IMO.

I can see them killing off a couple of minor characters like Jessie's husband, I think it's Pete, and maybe Gabriel.

I don't think so, but my dh initially said the same thing. I think it is definitely the bad group that is coming with Neegan based on the Comic book information.

I agree that Rick isn't bad. He is still very good and at times he may lose some of his human side, but he IMO would still do the right thing in a situation...it is just sometimes the right thing is killing someone before they go off the rails and kill you. You don't let an abusive husband go off to live in a seperate house or exile him and not know that isn't going to end bad. Rick is right...he needs to be put down or it will come back to bite them, like it has every.single.time they give someone a little leeway.

Michael Culditz(Abraham) says: It’s going to piss you off. There will be tears, but also, once again, like the writers have been doing pretty consistently, it tees up a new beginning in a very, very different way.”

I don't think there will be tears or anger if it is something that is happening to a minor character. Maybe it won't be a death, but that just seems to be there thing.

**COMIC INFO**

I think it's been all but confirmed that the W will stand for Wolves, which speculation says is a new group they created for the TV series that will be a hybrid of a couple groups they've run into in the comics. Including the Saviors, which is Negan's group. The potential name of the Wolves comes from the graffiti "Wolves not far" in Noah's old neighborhood, and I think it's appeared elsewhere as well. So many took that as foreshadowing, and not as literally meaning wolves in the animal sense.

There was some speculation the W could stand for the Whisperers which is another group in the comics, but it's not progressing that way.

Would LOVE to see this screen shot!!!

I don't know if this is what nkereina saw, but when I googled it this came up. It is interesting, but I don't think they would do that with Morgan. Unless we are going to see some major backstory next season with just what Morgan was doing, but I still think we would see Morgan die in real time on the show IMO.

YES! This is exactly what I saw - I was just trying to figure out how to upload it! Thanks for posting. The bottom right photo shows Morgan's wedding band as seen on the severed arm, and of course the tan jacket and dark skin. Pretty coincidental if it's not Morgan.

One thing about it that was noted on another forum was that, from what people could tell, the head was nowhere to be found. As gruesome as it is, it's possible that if it is Morgan, the head could show up at some point where Rick sees it or finds it. Perhaps as a means to let Rick & Co know how bad this next group is. But I do agree it's not a great way to use Morgan and I hope it's not true!
