The walking dead amc #2

I've been trying to think back since last night's episode of Father Gabriel's perspective on the group. He had limited exposure to them and didn't witness many "good" acts by them. Maybe he really does believe they are bad people?

Or maybe we, the viewer, no longer have an objective opinion of the group and, from an outsider's perspective, they are indeed "bad?"

I still think they're the good guys. They may be rough and unpolished now but they're efficient and do what needs to be done for survival. They don't go out looking to hurt other people just for the sport of it. Daryl left at the beginning of the episode on his new motorcycle to look for other good people. There was a car behind him, I'm assuming that was Aaron. He believes Daryl can tell the difference between good and bad people.

I think Father Gabriel cracked. He was ripping pages out of the bible.

LOL yes Gabriel not Abraham.

Wonder if anyone can go back and see what pages/verse he tore out of the bible?

You're welcome. I don't consider myself hard of hearing but sometimes I can't make out parts of the dialog on The Walking Dead so I almost always watch it with CC enabled. I didn't have it on the first time through because I mistakenly thought I would catch everything. Nope. When it came on the 2nd time, after The Talking Dead, I enabled it and watched it again. I think I was more tense watching it the 2nd time through.

Gross, but good episode! Father Gabriel...Ugh...what's his problem. I don't get the hate. He really didn't see them do anything that bad. It was all survival stuff. I am wondering if most of the residents aren't going to make it. I am thinking that Deanna won't buy his story though.

I had a hard time hearing a lot of the dialogue tonight. What did the two alexandria guys say to each other before he bailed in the warehouse? Something like that is what we do, we leave everyone behind??

I thought hubby and I were only ones who didn't know what those two guys said lol

I wonder why he was putting a sheet of what looked like waxed paper in the Bible? That's kind of weird.

Certain shows (like TWD and Homeland) use a very high pitched whine in the background to build suspense. It totally puts me on edge, so it works, but it also plays havoc with my hearing which has never been 100%.

Did I miss anything good on The Talking Dead? I forgot to DVR it. I know Glenn, Noah, and Eugene were on, but that's it.

I never knew that. I know I was really on edge last night so it definitely works. My problem is when it switches from loud to quiet quickly, I miss the first few words.

They had the Noah dummy that was used for the death scene and it was pretty gross but very cool to see how they do it.

Regarding the Bible and Father Gabriel - I was curious so I just watched that scene again and he starts with Leviticus but ends up ripping out all the pages after that and then slams it shut, what's left of it. So, I don't know that Leviticus has any special meaning. I think ripping most every page out just further demonstrates that he cracked.

I really enjoyed The Talking Dead. I thought it was the best episode in a long time.

I was confused by the Abraham scene. They showed him about to freak out about something at the beginning before the chaos began and then they never went any further with that. And why didn't he get in the piece if equipment with the girl and shoot walkers for above like she did?

I took it as a little PTSD, the Alexandrians being so 'normal' and suburban and when you are so used to fighting for your life 24/7, you'd probaly take bad with "normal", maybe need to lash out at something. I also think Abraham then enjoyed the challenge of fighting the zombies at such close range.

Really enjoyed this episode, but at the same time the characters Aiden and friend, and Gabriel really annoyed me! Was sad to Noah get killed, I kinda liked him, and I guess that would be the first person Glenn has lost on his watch? And being forced to watch it at such close range yikes!

Can't believe there's only 2 episodes left?

I thought I was the only one that could not understand the conversation between Aiden and the other guy when Aiden was stuck on the wooden spear thing. All I could hear was mumbling. I had no clue what was being said, then I heard something like , "because that's who we are."

that's why i also put the cc on when watching this show.
i don't want to miss one thing of what is being said.

Aidan tells Glenn before he dies that his friends in the original group died because he and Nicholas left them. And right before Nicolas ran away from Aiden, he whispered to Aiden, "You left them. We both did. That's who we are" Can't remember if these are the exact words, but very close.

Father Gabriel's behavior is a little disturbing. Ripping pages out of the bible and then saying that Rick and Co are the bad guys, makes me wonder what is actually going through his head. He so should have not said those things. Hopefully Deanna doesn't believe it, and that Maggie puts him in his place.

The scavenging mission....At least Eugene stepped up and did what he needed to do.

Abraham, someone had to do it right? He's a take control kind of guy that didn't bail on the group.

LOL yes Gabriel not Abraham.

DS17 thought it was the Book of Revelations, which talks about apocalypse, since it appeared it was from the back of the Bible that he was ripping.

So proud of Eugene, he rocked it and tried his best.

I was sad to see Noah go.

He saw the birds flying away so he knew that alot of walkers where coming. That is why they showed him but his hands on the the shotgun and then he mentally prepared himself for the killing that was soon to come
