The walking dead amc #2

I'd aim a little higher...:rolleyes1

Seriously, I just got around to watching the Talking Dead today and they mentioned the same horse trainer played a zombie in both the attacks on Rick's horse and poor Buttons. He must be a heck of a trainer to get the horse down with all the background zombies around...
I'm saving my high kicks for a potential third attack...

The trainer was there, visible throughout the attack. He'd be the zombie with his hand over the horse's nose, essentially laying the horse down as it had been trained to do. One heckuva well trained horse! I'd dlove to hear the actual sound from the filming of it...I bet everyone was completely silent with only the trainer speaking pleasantly to the horse. All the zombie sounds and horse squeeling were certainly added in post.

I also HATED the horse episode, hated it. If I find out that the animals on that show are being stressed in any way won't watch anymore. Not quite as bad as the episode where the little girl kills the other girl tho, that was really too much. I close my eyes when the gore is on. But still love the show and with Rick showing signs of romance, come on, that was great! Loved it! I can't wait to see how that goes. :lovestruc:love:

So my DH and I were discussing TWD and how there are only a couple episodes left, and he said that Glenn's a goner.

**COMIC BOOK INFO**

I know in the comics Glenn dies by Negan/Lucille, and I know there have been some bat references this season that make everyone assume that's the way this is going. To me, it's almost TOO much of a teaser. Do you think they would really lay it all out like that? Pretty much every death of a major character has been a complete shock. This would be such an obvious death that I just don't see them going that way. Plus, while I realize it's the zombie apocalypse and anything can happen, how much would they really lay on Maggie? Losing her father, sister AND husband? And the sister and husband in the same season? Seems a bit much even for the ZA.

Can't wait for tonight to see how this all goes from Mayberry to sh*t storm, as it appeared in the previews. And what did Eugene do to cause it? popcorn::

***COMIC INFO***

Good points. I mentioned a few posts back that in the comics, Glenn is Rick's right hand man. But in the TV series, Darryl is Rick's right hand man. Darryl is not in the comics, he was made up for the TV series. There has been some speculation by fellow comic nerds that Negan/Lucille will kill Darryl instead of Glenn, and the Glenn/bats foreshadowing is to throw us off as you mention. I find it hard to believe they will kill Darryl after how popular he's become, especially since they are now writing his character into the comics. He also seems to have a good storyline starting up with Aaron/Eric and the recruiting.

Personally, I don't think anyone will die by the end of this season. I'm not even sure if they will introduce Negan by the end of the season. I read a few months ago that, at the time, Negan hadn't even been cast yet. I suspect the big reveal/cliffhanger in these last few episodes will be Morgan with the group meeting up with him or whatever is going to happen. Apparently during filming, Morgan had not been seen on set and everything about him was hush hush to keep it a big surprise. Negan is going to be such a pivotal character, that I'm hoping they don't try to rush him in by season's end. And with those earlier Morgan teasers, you'd think they'd have to show him again in some form before the season is over.

That would be a nice change of pace, but I am on edge a bit after Norman saying you better have your tissues ready for the season-ender episode. Now maybe it's emotional because it's a Morgan/Rick reunion (although I don't see tears for that), but I just have no idea. I guess we will have to wait and see....

Anyone want to speculate on what goes down tonight? How it goes all to heck so fast? Not looking for comic info, just gut instincts/pure speculation.

Someone leave the gate open and the walkers come in? Someone NOT being Eugene, as he states he can't be blamed for this. Father Gabriel maybe?

I can't remember what the previews showed, but I could definitely see something like that happening. It would reinforce the need for a lookout and also prove that the rest of the Alexandria people are not strong enough to handle walkers and the "real" world. Rick & Co. would have to handle a walker influx and it would show just how much stronger they are than everyone else there.

**COMIC INFO**

In the comics, at some point, there IS a walker takeover of Alexandria. Not sure if it would be this early though, but there could be a second one later on. In the instance I'm referencing, the walkers kill Jessie and her kid but I don't think we've seen enough of them yet for that to happen so soon.

This is the preview for tonight from last week. NOT the one from TTD, but the one that airs right after the show. It's heavy on FGabriel which is why I wonder if he does something. He's kind of a whack-a-doo.

OR, after watching it again, I'm not 100% sure the walkers are IN Alexandria or maybe everyone went out on a scavenger run and got cornered? Or maybe it is in the compound. I'm bad at that stuff. Wherever they are, there's a lot of walkers.

This episode is stressing me out! That's all I'm going to say for now so as not to spoil it for anyone.

Have to say I didn't see "some" of that coming.

SPOILERS

I knew Carol was going to go down this road, now it's just waiting to see what exactly Rick will do.

What a piece of crap F Gabriel is. I hope Maggie puts him down.

Did not see Noah coming, but not gonna miss Aiden one bit. Be interesting to see how Deanna reacts, especially since F Gabriel just filled her head with all kinds of crap. I also wonder what Aiden's little friend is going to say.

Just, really, these Alexandria people are total wusses! First time someone gets in trouble, BAM, they're outta there. I would NOT want to be a part of their little group. I also wonder what Erik/Aaron will do. Aaron wants to be with good people, will he side with the Alexandrian's, or go with Rick & Co.?

Quick question about the zombie-lore of the show. It's been how long that they've been out there since the zompocalypse started? Two years-ish? How long do zombies last in TWD-iverse? I mean, they are walking decomposing corpses right? how long does it take for the zombie plague to just die out from the zombies withering away to nothing via decomposition?

I don't know that the zombie plague will die out. Dr. Jenner at the CDC told Rick that everyone was already infected.

Wasn't there a movie (I think it had a sequel) and it was like 7 years??? I could be wrong though. They do get mushier though. Remember Carl trying to teach F Gabriel how to fight in the church and said sometimes the skulls aren't as soft as you think they will be. I guess it depends on how "fresh" the zombie is. And really, there are more being made all the time. People dieing from disease or accidents. Does everyone know if you die you turn? Some people may not know this until it's too late and MORE zombies are made.

Gross, but good episode! Father Gabriel...Ugh...what's his problem. I don't get the hate. He really didn't see them do anything that bad. It was all survival stuff. I am wondering if most of the residents aren't going to make it. I am thinking that Deanna won't buy his story though.

I had a hard time hearing a lot of the dialogue tonight. What did the two alexandria guys say to each other before he bailed in the warehouse? Something like that is what we do, we leave everyone behind??

Just my opinion, but I'm thinking that not everyone knows for certain that you turn at some point after death, especially if it's a group that hasn't been "out there". A protected group, like the Alexandrian group, that hasn't been witness to much, I think they're probably a little clueless.

Watching the episode again, with the closed caption on, the one Alexandria guy, Nick, said, "You left them. We both did. That's who we are." Then he took off. Adain told Glenn that it wasn't the other people from the group that panicked, it was them (Nick and Adain). That was referring back to the previous episode.

Ugh what an episode! I must say I hate how we don't see everyone each episode. Alexandria has everyone split up. I would like to know what father Gabriel's problem is. He would have died so many times if Rick's group hadn't saved him.
