Can you put it in spolier quote or message me? I read the comics and can't figure out who this new Geogie lady is supposed to be.There is more to the new character, but others here said they didn't want the comics brought up.

My idea goes and with the comic spoilers lovin'fl posted.I'm starting to think Mckennarose is onto something with them making Simon really slimy and mean to make Negan look not so bad. His character used to be more like Gregory, a slimy car salesman, but basically harmless.
Just finished reading the last 3 written chapters of the comics. Will put the comic storyline in spoiler quotes if anyone is interested...it is way off the rails from the show...don't know how, or even if, they will get the show back in line. At this point I don't think that's the plan.
So....the war with Negan ends with him in a jail at Alexandria. Rick is leader there. Maggie kills Gregory and becomes leader of Hilltop. I think Dwight was leader of Saviors and Zeke of the Kingdom. Michonne is in relationship with Zeke but can't handle it and runs off on fishing boat with some community that boats and fishes. All these communities work together and trade. It's building a new civilization with people working together in peace. Rick is in relationship with Andrea, now dead on show. Eugene is with Rosita. A new teen girl comes there, daughter of the new big bad named Alpha, leader of Whisperers. New girl and Carl are in relationship. They look to be the future. They grew up in the ZA and this life is normal to them and they can survive...ha ha, show ruined that. Alpha kills Rosita and Zeke and several others, putting their heads on spikes to make boarder. Boarder not to cross. Rick is pizzed. He uses Negan to help in war with Whisperers and eventually comes to some sort of terms with Negan and they work together. He then lets Negan go off to live on his own. In the war, though, Andrea gets bit and dies and Rick and Carl are devastated. Rick sleeps on her grave. Maggie finds out Negan is out and is not happy. She goes to kill him but also comes to some sort of terms with him. She then lays big kiss on guy that had been trying for a while to get with her and she had been refusing because of her love for Glen. Eugene, meanwhile, had fixed a radio and began conversing with lady in Ohio who is part of a group. They send out a team to meet this new group with thoughts of adding them to the network of communities. Oh, and some others, including Dwights old wife Sherry, were running the saviors community and were bad. Dwight had quit leading them and stayed at Alexandria. The saviors refused to help in the whisperer war. They had plan to wait until the communities were weakened and to go in and finish them and take over. When they came to do that, Rick killed Sherry while defending himself. Dwight was not pleased and starts to turn on Rick. Saviors go off with tails tucked but still anti-Rick.
Then we're going to bring said crates up to (inside?) our fortress because our bomb sniffing dogs (that don't exist) have thoroughly checked them before they were brought near everyone.
There were so many ridiculous things in last night's episode. First, we're in the middle of this big war and in constant danger, but we're going to check out some suspicious crates that magically appeared overnight in the field our side hilltop, because, you know no one was apparently guard on that section of fence to Dee where they came from. Then we're going to bring said crates up to (inside?) our fortress because our bomb sniffing dogs (that don't exist) have thoroughly checked them before they were brought near everyone. Then, because we're not really in any danger from the Saviors, we're going to take a road trip to meet some strangers.
Not only are Maggie, Michonne, Rosita and Enid off doing something stupid in the middle of a war crisis, but Rick decides to go off on his own and chase down Negan and proceed to have a loooong drawn out fight where nothing is accomplished except that Lucille gets burned and Rick looks like a crazy man.
On a related note, I used to enjoy Talking Dead. Now they sound like they are all paid to say good things about even the most ridiculous aspects of this show. Talking about how Michonne was so wonderful and insightful, steering Maggie away from a Governor-ish future... because... you know... Carl wanted it that way... in the midst of a WAR. Eesh.
Indeed!!Even Yvette Nicole Brown, superfan, was rolling her eyes at the fight and Negan emerging unscathed! But did you hear the Fonzie reference? Aaaa!
LOL, nice to meet you too!Nice to meet you, my long lost Sister of Snark!

Indeed!!
But her talk of how wonderful and peaceful and CORRECT the women were as compared to the men... honestly, given that they are AT WAR, I think you could hear my eyes roll at that one!![]()

Yikes! My sister had a similar issue last year... all turned out to be ok --Please forgive my typos on all my posts today! Siri and I are frequently on the "outs" to begin with, but I also had an eye exam this morning and I'm still partially dilated. I'm also having issues with flashing lights and spots and watching my retina doesn't detach. I promise I can be literate!![]()
BINGO!!Yes, as @mckennarose said, less of a juxtaposition of peaceful women "building" vs violent men "destroying" and more of illogical and out-of-character choices for them to make given the circumstances...but however we have to shoehorn in the newest plot device...![]()
Yeah I wanted Negan to die but now not until he deals with Simon.Hmmm, maybe. Negan is certainly ticked at Simon for killing the garbage people. I wonder if Negan saves Rick from Simon, making way for a redemption for Negan. I don't know. I think too much has happened to forgive Negan, but if the show can get some good writers maybe it can be done.
My DH & I were laughing b/c Negan is becoming like a Jason/Freddie/Michael Myers type character. If it’s an homage to that type of horror movie, I can get on board. But, I have a feeling ?based on the rest of the show now) that it’s just bad writing.Negan walks away. Shows up as snarky as ever and all in one piece with Jadis.
- Car rolls over
- Shot at with automatic weapon and hand gun
- Falls two stories to the basement
- Rick attack with a FLAMING Lucille
- Wall to wall walkers — some on fire
It got old a long time ago for me — and I kinda’ like Negan.
LOL! Exactly! I think it's meant to be SERIOUS... ...My DH & I were laughing b/c Negan is becoming like a Jason/Freddie/Michael Myers type character. You know... I have no idea! Because I don't know Jadis AT ALL.Once she finds out Negan did not give the order to kill them all, do you think Jadis will want revenge on Simon? Would she trade Negan back to Saviors as long as she gets to kill Simon?

She was an odd-talker, and double-crosser who somehow got some people to follow her. I have no idea about her motivations, how much she actually did or didn't care about any of those people, etc. Maybe she just cares about her own survival and those people were a means to an end -- protection. They made an attempt in that grinder episode to suggest that she cared, at least... I think... but, meh.
This is all part of the problem of the show now to me. I just don't know most of these new people, and honestly don't much care what happens to them. Such a contrast from the first few seasons. Makes me sad.![]()
And she likes to paint in the nude. We also know that. Lol.LOL! Exactly! I think it's meant to be SERIOUS... ...

Right, and rather than begin to develop the characters they would rather show a 30 minute fight between Rick and Negan because "how cool would it be that Rick tries to chop off Negan's hand, but Negan falls 25 feet (he's fine though) and he and Rick fight in some weird tunnels WITH FIRE!!" **said in my BEST Gimple voice. And they keep introducing MORE people. I can't keep everyone straight.
