In length, most like:

International Gateway to

a. Beach Club Lobby
b. Yacht Club lobby
c. Dolphin lobby

Forgive me for the WDW references here on the Disneyland board, but I figure someone is familiar with both places (as I only know the East Coast version - until May, that is.)

Thanks.

I'd say b. Bonitta Tower at DLH may even be closer to c. GC is definitely closer.

My fiance and I just stayed at the Disneyland Hotel (Bonita tower) last week and we were amazed at how close everything was!!!!!!!!!! It was a 8 minute walk or so (but we don't stroll, we walk at a fairly brisk pace) to the front gates of both Disneyland and California Adventure. I've never stayed at the Beach Club, Yacht Club, or Dolphin though, so I can't help with the comparisons.

Okay Ive done all but its a weird comparison that Ive never thought of so I'm drawin a bit of a blank... (plus cant remember which is closer to the park whether it be Yacht or Beach) and how far the entrance is from there... but what I am thinking is that I would choose b1/2... ie I wouldnt place it as far as the Dolphin but not as close as the Y&B.

The one comparison I feel a bit better over is saying its about the walk from DTD Virgin Megastore to WOD.

Hi!
I'm not the best at judging actual distance, but since you walk through Downtown Disney, it doesn't seem all that far. Remember, you can take the Monorail from very close to the DLH into Tomorrowland!! :flower:

Before CA there was a tram to the DLH and you never had to walk unless you wanted to. Now you have to walk. I would compare it to the walk from Luau cove at the Poly to getting on a monorail at the TTC. DH says it's a little farther than from the Dolphin lobby to the Intl Gateway.

I have found the monorail to be unreliable. On our last visit it broke down in the middle of the morning and after a 15 minute wait we walked into the park anyway. On another visit we were in line at 7:55 am and the CMs could not start running it until they were given permission. We gave up at 8:20 and walked into the park.

The monorail at DL is more of an attraction than transportation.

I agree that the monorail is not often the best way to get to and from the park. I also found that it was safer to walk to the main entrance at opening since the first monorail didn't always get the go-ahead until well afterwards. At closing or after fireworks or a parade, the monorail can very crowded returning from DL to DTD. On the otherhand, it's a nice way to save steps midday.
