It seems to me as though the price increases have been incredibly reasonable.

I played with package prices yesterday, then again today. I'll wait for a more official quote from my travel agent, but I'm not unhappy with the increases. Of course, I'm still banking on a discount, but the increases seem reasonable.

I was able to do August by manually putting in the dates.

I just refreshed three or four times, and the dates came up - yay!

I'm happy to see that the prices didn't go up much at all - they are the same prices I was quoted when I booked last Saturday over the phone.

I called right on the dot at 7am and got through to an agent after a couple of quick answers on the phone tree. He was able to apply a 10% AAA discount to my existing room only reservation for a standard room at PORQ.

I've just compared a few sample rack rate dates this year vs. next year for Port Orleans (my subject area!). While the Standard room types actually don't seem to have changed at all, some other types (e.g. River View) have rocketed - e.g. in peak July, River View goes up from $254 to $279, and Pool View from $248 to $273, that's $25 more expensive, or about a 10% increase.

I booked AKL Savanna view for 29 Jul - 8 Aug 2014, and the rack rate went from $368 to $377, so not much at all. However, while Value 2 season at AKL doesn't have a weekend premium this year ($368 night all week long), next year it goes from $377 to $404 on the weekends.
