Are you a senior?

I've never played in a match where a yellow or red card have been given but I've watched many. Its hilarious! And half the time its because the official made a bad call and the coach was mad.

I got a yellow card once. A kid on the other team blocked one of our outside hitters and stared him down and was trash talking him. On the next play I blocked his hit and stared him down and gave him the finger wave and said
" get that outta here." Everyone in the stands was going crazy.

lol. I've blocked tall people before. It was funny when it happened. They didn't like it too much....but my teammates loved it!

I may be only 5'8 but I can block a hit at a 7 foot net. To you thats probally not that big of deal cause you're what? 6'4? You're net is like 9 foot probally. But for me, blocking a hit is the highlight of my game.

blocking is huge for me when I have to go up against kids bigger than me. Last season alone we faced a 6'9 kid, two 6'8 kids, and two 6'7 kids. Plus all the other kids who are around my height. We probably have the smallest team; the 3 tallest are me 6'4 and then a 6'3 kid and a 6'1 kid.

The tallest girl I've ever played against was probally 6'1 at the tallest. On my team, our tallest is 6'0 I think.

We had one kid on our team who was 6'7 who was really only good because he was so tall and lanky. Our best player was 6'4 but he could jump to like 11'6. In highschool.

My friend will be a freshman this year. She's 5'11 and can jump 10'0+.

We have 3 kids on our team that can jump. I can get up around 11'5 (which comes in handy during basketball season) and the other 2 kids can get up to 10'5-11' at the least, and they are 6'3 and 6'1. The 3 of us can dunk and one practice last year our coach let us have a slam dunk contest, winner picks the drills for the day.

Man, we should totally have a club. But what would it be called and who should be "in charge"? I think we should have at least two people as leaders. Then we could have members. And we could have something volleyballish in our sigs. Hmmmm.........

Don't say that! I know a girl, who is a 5'2 setter, and she recieved a full ride scholarship for volleyball! She is amazing! She can easily get above a 7'0 net. Height honestly doesn't matter. Sure you'd want a tall middle but really, middle is really the only position you need height for.

I can serve pretty good and can jump pretty good from practicing for cheering.

that's true. With my hitting I should probably be an outside hitter, but because of my height, jumping, and blocking ability, I play middle.

That is another problem I have. I get bruised up so easily from bumping the ball.

Yeah they can hurt. One of our assistant coaches played men's volleyball in college and he always hits at us. One time I was in back row and the coach told me to cover tips at the 10 foot line and the amazing college player spiked it and it hit me right in the face. The coach forgot to tell him to tip it.
