The coasters are great. I'm thinking about asking for some from another location today.

Stayed in studio 4504 for a couple of nights. I like the overall feel of the refurb. The room felt
cleaner than my last stay a few months ago with the now lighter flooring and new sofa. I pulled down the Murphy just to look at the artwork (staying solo so no need for it to be down).
A couple of the corners of the flooring were not perfect, but I wouldn’t have noticed it if I wasn’t looking for it due to photos posted earlier.
The small appliances were not replaced but seemed good enough. The hardware on the cabinets was all good and I am glad they were left alone.
The shower head and the drain in the vanity sink were both badly worn in the chrome (?) plating and showed their age. Tiles and tub grouting still intact and clean. Wall paper seams were lifted in a couple places.
So I will email DVC with the photos and ask about the refurb. Oh the guide I spoke with said they were done. And there were new appliances (washer and dryer).
Oh phone was not working. I stopped by the front desk to tell them, and that I didn’t want them to come work on it until after I checked out.

Best part of the room was the view while making coffee

It seemed like they were going to give out coasters to whoever wanted them. Maybe even non DVC? The coasters are by far the best gift I got there yesterday.

Room 3516 was great! Nice peaceful view of the Redwood challenge. I opened the Murphy bed and saw the cute picture of Flower. Everything was great, other than the shower head.

Star View Station or Golden Vine, or the office at GC, but mostly in the parks. Front desk or concierge likely won’t have it as they are mostly the hotel side of things so can’t have the sales opportunities the guides are looking for.

I asked at the DVC office in the Grand Californian (between the fitness center and the dvc wing). I don't know the hours, but I was walking by it around 5pm and saw it was open so that's why I went in to ask. When I passed it again around 6:30, it was closed up.

I definitely missed it, disneyland is crazy crowded so many people coming to see the fireworks right now

Wow, seems early. We're interested in trying out Pride nights next year but they probably won't announce so early (the upcoming ones in June were announced in December, which is not great timing for DVC owners...)

Are you thinking of pride nite in California? It has always been in June since it started during the week. It's totally worth it! Special parade, rare characters like the muses from Hercules, last year they had singers singing Disney songs and pride songs, its a lot of fun! Clarabelle definetely is at her best (and most flamboyant )

You could always book a couple of different times, then keep the one that aligns best after the dates are announced…

I suppose in California the climate may be a little friendlier towards us which is unfortunate. Im sure they will one day! I also thought about trying to time a stay at vgc! The food is really good too, we had dinner at plaza inn and they made the chicken a honey chicken and it was one of the best chicken I've ever had! I go every year just to support it and ofc because its really fun! I also met Gavin newsom there and frankie grande. Def keep your eye out for random celebrity spotting!
