I cannot convince my mom to use a wheelchair or scooter or anything. It's frustrating. She's been having trouble with her knee so instead of using any mobility aids, she'd rather just not go anywhere. It makes me sad for her. I know that if my RA gets the better of me...I'm hoping to still visit Disney parks...just while using a walker or scooter or whatever.

I probably wont have time and I’m going with my Mom. She hasn’t been in 10 years and it will probably be the last time she ever goes…. so a refurb will be on the back burner.

We just took my mom and it’s been 30 years since she was back. She remembered the parking lot instead of DCA. She also refused to use a wheelchair or ECV.

My Mom is pretty stubborn about things as well…. but she has moved to the acceptance phase.

This is also a good dry run for when we take her and my aunt to Aulani this summer.

My mother wouldn't either. Then she fell and had a non-healing break in her arm and needed to move in with us. Well, we weren't just sitting around so her only choice was coming with and using aids. And then, once she did that, she realized how easy it made things and she began asking when we were going next! Sometimes it's just breaking thru that 1st time but I understand that can be very difficult. Wishing it could eventually work out with your parents because it really is great to go together. Such special memories I have of those trips.

Back in 2006, I was living in orange county so they came into town for my wedding. While they were there, we all spent a day in the parks. It was really nice.

Definitely envious of the original direct buyers!

I was about 10 years late to the party and in my two 2019 add-ons, I was able to get my contracts for $167/pt for 40yrs of points and $185/pt for 41.27yrs of points.

The last 3 months at dvcresalemarket.com have averaged $237/pt and, as much as we love VGC, I don't know if I could stomach that for ~35yrs of points...

4 Day trip in October at VGC
2 Day trip 1st week of December at VDH
Finally, a 4 Day trip 2nd or 3rd week of December at VGC,
I have a confirmed reservation for second week, Thurs - Sun, in December but still can't decide if it might be better to aim for the 3rd weekend instead. Besides the increase in points for the 3rd weekend does anyone have any feedback as to whether the crowd level will be any different? I have an Inspire key, so I have access either weekend at the parks, but other levels are unable to book that third weekend. Will that impact crowd levels at all, or will it be absolutely insane because it is the weekend before Christmas and better to go the second weekend? Any input will be appreciated.
This last Dec I went the 6-7 and 12-15. I thought the 12-15 was not so bad as far as crowds, whereas in October I was there the weekend before Columbus Day and it was just plain craziness crowded.

July 17 -21. I like to escape to Disneyland to commemorate my Mom’s Birthday. I’m sure it will be incredibly busy since the 17th is the 70th anniversary day of DLR. Regardless of the week it will surely be hot so there may be lulls in the crowd during the heat of the day.

Sounds fun! We are planned for the 7-11 at the moment at GC so we will have pool breaks in the afternoon. We are from St. Louis so the weather in Cal will actually be refreshing.

New VGC owner here. First ever stay at VGC booked for July just before the 70th.

Second stay will be a coast to coast split stay between RIV and VGC in October. Does bell services transfer luggage from WDW resorts to VGC? It might save me some $ on checked bag fees.
