The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 3.0

I don't think any VGC studios are right next to each other and the odds of both rooms being open for the same exact days would be slim. Unless you're just looking at 1 night maybe.

Then you might as well pony up for a two bedroom.
Technically it is a 2bdrm. ;)
But I was thinking you were trying to give the kids some freedom, not save money.
Not sure how old they are but even just across the hall could seem pretty distant.

2BDs have plenty of freedom. Just thinking through when they are older and how we could stretch the points.

Random day in August points:

Studio: 26
1bd: 52
2BD: 70

Yep, I get it.
2 studios are a lot less points than a 2-bdrm… it’s almost another studio!!

The 2 bedroom is “better” because it has two dedicated queen beds and a king bed, the full kitchen, full living room, etc….

But…. it costs more….

We're at the Grand in January, I'm not an owner but was fortunate to book a 1BR in this lower season. My 3 kids would vastly prefer each having their own bed, but I couldn't get a 2BR (and was a little hesitant due to point cost anyway).

I'm thinking about WDW in Aug and it's nice to see that there are a lot of 2BRs at a far lower cost than a 2BR at VGC in the same timeframe1

Most want to be in SoCal in August…. no one wants to be in Orlando in August…..

Oh I get it. Super hot and humid. But Orlando/FL offer way better cruise options than the west coast!

Also: comparing spring break (for us) - still a lot of great options at WDW that come in at far less points than the Grand. I'm not complaining about high point cost at the Grand, just observing that points can go a lot further at WDW.

We are not cruising people, but if you are then there are certainly more off of Florida.

Maybe she will come around to VDH by then. (doubtful ahaha) We stayed at VDH and we requested and got a Duo Studio preferred view and a standard view Deluxe Studio and we were right across the hall from each other.
