The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 3.0

The play is to have Dad get breakfast and bring it back to the room while Mom gets the kids ready…. at least if you are in a villa.

We actually really like sitting at one of the outdoor tables for breakfast at Craftsman so I don't know if I want to cut that out of our routine. Though it is expensive! If we're ever in a 1-bedroom, we might just add some breakfast items to our grocery list. And then maybe just eat at Craftsman half the time.

We had a premier pass for $2k in 2020….

The Inspire Key is almost the same price now….

It's so crazy. I haven't had a pass since 2007. It was the premium (or whatever was most expensive) AP at Disneyland which had no black outs and free parking. I believe it was $365. I miss those days. Ha!

Don’t you eat breakfast pretty early though because you are Central Time Zone?

I know when I’m in Hawaii I am up early (Hawaiian time) and it still feels like sleeping in. I find it the best time of day to see the resort and walk along a quiet ocean.

Nope. We pretty much immediately adjust to the time zone. Especially if we drive. My husband and son are big sleepers. I like to get about 7-8 hours of sleep. So I will sometimes stay up late reading. They can easily sleep 9-10 hours...ha!

Looking at my notes from last time, most days we woke up around 7:30-7:45.

To each their own.

Mine dues definitely show $8.85, which was not what I was seeing reported before. Not a huge difference so it doesn't really matter. Just found it interesting. (My BRV dues aren't exactly what was being reported on all the blogs before either.)
The statements always have a difference because of the property tax true up. I haven't looked at mine but would guess that is causing the difference from reported.

I have a two bedroom booked for next year and I was interested into looking at room requests. From the map of the resort, I'm having a hard time determining which rooms are two bedrooms, especially if some one bedrooms and combined with a studio. Does anyone have information on where two bedrooms can be located across the resort?

Did you book a 2 Bedroom or a 2 Bedroom Lock-off?

@Chili327 posted some great information at the beginning of the thread.

Post #3 may have what you are looking for.

Yep 6500 and 5500 are the best for viewing DCA. Absolute delight. with the 6500 you can actually chat with the folk on the terrace so be mindful of that in the evening and privacy if that's a concern.
4506 and 5506 aren't bad.

We like being a bit closer to the GV as the magic bands work a bit better with the WOC show as you get closer. They still work as you get closer to the elevator but not as well. They work great in the GV balcony.

Just booked 5 nights in a 2BR for Thanksgiving 2025!

Wanted to add a couple pics. (not sure if I did already or not) I think our view was the stock footage on the TV screen. lol
Also a great place to watch World of Color... well maybe not the best view, but a great place to be. ;)

Has anyone ever requested 2 studios next to each other and had that work?
Given how small the wing is I'd bet even if you were on different floors it would not take more than a few min to get to the other room. I'd recommend asking for a range of room numbers you think would work best for you and see if that can help you get close to each other.
