Club ID is a unique number, assigned after initial purchase, and used to set up account on the DVC website. It is not the same as membership number.
I have 6 UY’s, hence 6 different membership numbers. Each membership has multiple contracts. And still only one unique club ID.

Under profile on both MDE and DL app, the club ID is shown.
Yes, I think that the Club ID is unique to each owner, and that each owner gets only one no matter how many contracts or memberships that one person is involved in. Going way back to the earlier discussion in this thread, regarding how many contracts there are at VGC and the data point that there are 3,399 club members at VGC, I think that means 3,399 individual persons own points at VGC but not how many contracts there are, or how many memberships either. and I don’t think you can use that number to estimate average contract size. DH and I together own 300 points at BWV, and we are two club members at BWV. We recently added an adult child to our contracts, so now BWV has one more club member, but our contract size is still 300 points.

This says there are 3,399 "club members" at VGC as of 12/2022. This would mean the average total contract size per owner is about 334 points, which seems high.

Even at WDW, they want to see the magic mobile added to iPhone wallet (and whatever the Android version is), not MDE. They want to see that DVC Y.
Same at Aulani.
Good to know. It's been a while since I was in the parks, and used to get by with a downloaded image of my card from the DVC website. I just set up my Magic mobile pass and it shows DVC-Y.

At the risk of "outing" myself since I asked the same thing on a DVC facebook post....(Feel free to say hi if you see me...ha!)
Since it's so far down the list of refurbs, does that mean it won't be done until late 2025?

We last went to Disneyland at Christmas-time in December 2018. Our dog got sick while we were out of town and I spent so much of the trip on the phone with our vet. We ended up having to say goodbye to her the day after we got home. So there's a black cloud over that trip. That's one of the big reasons I feel like I "need" another Christmastime trip. (The last one before our 2018 trip was 2007...our last trip as AP holders.)

So the plan has been for a December 2025 trip. I don't so well with noise so the idea of construction happening doesn't thrill me, to say the least. With having to book 11 months in advance, I guess I'll just have to deal with it. I know it's not the end of the world and it's a dumb "problem" to have. Still kind of a bummer though!

In my post a couple days ago, I mentioned we were considering a VGC stay in early 2025 but I think I'll take that completely off the table now so it will be WDW or just banking the remainder of our 2024 points.

Yea, i was wondering the same... I bought resale (BRV) and it is something like 1234567 and now that i bought a 2nd contract (VGC) it has added the .1 or -1 etc. So what happens to the -1 if i sell the first one? Does the -1 go away or it just stays as a -1?
And what if i bought another in the same UY, does it get a -2 or does it revert back to no -#. And what would happen to the BRV number, i assume it gets changed to match whoever the buyer is & what else they may own?

Not that it matters, its a Disney thing, just curious.
Anyone know what the “dash” means or what happens to it if you sell the foundation number or with new contracts.?

It’s official! Referb is happening. Unfortunately not until 2025.
Very unhappy about another delay 😡
On one hand I want it to hurry and and be done, on the other I’m happy I can book a trip for next December and will not need to be too concerned about walking into a constants….
It’s really not. It was reported in November that they started blocking rooms for October 2024. I assume that’s when it will actually start and will be completed in 2025… my guess would be sometime between April and June 2025 for completion.
I’m traveling and it’s kinda hard for me to check inventory currently, but I see no reason why it can’t still start in 2024 and finish in 2025, no ‘delays’.

Verbally, they said as much for BLT, another “2025” refurb.

I’m not super worried about the construction myself but it’s my home resort so I can book it the 11 month window. Seven month people probably won’t stand a chance during that time period. But I think it will only be one floor at a time. They also don’t do construction at night…. So I’m not really all that worried about noise either.

I stayed in a hotel room at Jambo house when they were doing the reverbs there a few years ago it really didn’t affect me at all.

Thanks. Since I'm only resale, do I even need my card for anything?
Yes. You need the card to have FOMO about not having DVC-Y so you will be tempted to buy some direct points in 2024 when they have 5 or 6 selling and do a firesale on something..... :)

On another note, a bit bummed we "officially" got bumped to 2025 for the refurb but I agree it seems like that's the completion date.

I also had a fun thought about VGC. I was reading a post about how popular the monorail resorts are and such and I thought.... aren't VGC (and VDH too) monorail resorts.... but we just don't have to ride the train as we can walk to the parks so quick.... I was tempted to post in that thread that VGC is the "best monorail resort" but I figured I'd be nice...

It seems to me that the opening on VDH hasn't had much affect on the resale value of VGC. Is anyone seeing something different? I'm not sure, but maybe there are more VGC contracts staying on the market longer?

Prior to VDH VGC got down to the low 200’s. I got my contract for 240… then a few people got them in the 220s. As soon as they announced the VDH details, all the VGC contracts sold right away and new ones were listed above 300. They were selling in the 320s. I think one had even sold at 360. They have since dropped back down a bit and are now listing in the high 200s low 300s.

So if you haven’t checked resale in a while it might seem normal…. But the whol market actually dropped prior to VDH. So it’s still pretty high for such a low market.

Any idea on how early/late they tend to do construction each day? We are late to rise/early to bed people. We also take a break in the afternoon usually so that's another concern.

I always go back and forth about direct points but I always end up on figuring it doesn't make sense for us. The only "extras" I think we'd use would maybe be the lounge and then the 10% (or whatever it is) discount. So in the end, I don't think those 2 things are worth the price jump. Well, I guess we could also book at VDH or Riviera or future resorts if we had at least 150 pts but I don't see us wanting to do that either.

That was right around when I started my DVC education. It was kind of a fun time for me. I ended up getting our contract in March for $235. Originally we thought we'd wait until later into the year but I'm glad we didn't! And for a second there, there were literally only 1 or 2 contracts available because people were buying them so quickly.

Does VGC have any refrigerated section that sells food items?

You mean like frozen pizzas or things to make in your villa? I don't recall seeing anything like that when we were there in February. I think they used to have a section like that but got rid of it.

I think if you ended up wanting 2 Disney trips per year or access to 1BD’s then VDH during the low point periods (vs VGC) in addition to VGC and having some points that can be used anywhere at WDW are a nice planning perk in addition to the 10% discount and lounge access.
