Thanks to those who understood what I was trying to say...

I have absolutely no problem with good debate and I understand that for the most part, people's opinions will not change because of comments on a message board. It's the posters who's best contribution is a picture of a hippo or resorting to name-calling that drives me nuts!

That is correct. The middle of the building roof was seen to be sagging over time (as documented in photos), and due to the presumed pending collapse of the building, the NYFD ordered the building to be "abandoned" (which as when the infamous "pull the building" comment confusion started).

What pictures??? The Official US statement says is collapsed on its own due to fire!

For starters, there is no "official" story. There are lots of reports published by any number of organizations. The report you are referring to is a preliminary FEMA (you know, that organization that Administration critics call a bunch of bumbling idiots) report that came out in May, 2002. A more in depth report published by NIST some time later concluded the collapse was due to a "progressive failure", meaning damage from WTC 1's fall caused initial structural failure that "domino-ed" over time and resulted in WTC 7's eventual demise.

I don't share all of Rosie's view's..but certainly she is entitled to them. Always thought she was genuine in her opinions. I do object to the manner in which she sometimes expresses them. Up until recently..I have really enjoyed the show. It was on life support before Rosie showed up. The whole Donald thing..I think she finally said what everyone else thought and just didn't want to say. The guy is a butt with bucks. As far as her politics..the show is called "The View" and I can accept various views, and while I am not a supporter of the war in Iraq..I don't like the way she expresses herself. She is just so in your face about it..it makes me cringe, and frankly I think she does the cause more harm than good. Way over the top. Take it easy and let other people talk. It's really become the Rosie show..and the others sort of sit by and either agree or get steam rolled. As I said up until recently..even though I've not shared all of Rosies views, I've respected them. Only now..I don't think she respects any ones views but her own. It's getting kind of old..and I think it will run it's course.

You are wrong there. I have sent her facts with no response. She screwed up the Gulf of Tonkin blog and I sent her a message everyday for a week with no reply. I wasn't mean, I just pointed out that the Vietnamese had admitted to the first attack and that she should amend her statement so that others would have the right information. With no response, I have now come to the conclusion that for opposing views she posts the horrible, bigoted, and sad messages as if to show that anyone with an opposing opinion is that way.

I am as to what you think I am wrong about.

I have read her blog, I have no idea why she answers some people and not others. I did not read what she said about the Gulf of Tonkin, so no real idea what you are talking about.

This thread was started as a criticism of her for slamming the media, ABC included, for not reporting the truth. They thought she would be fired. That is an opinion, incorrect, but an opinion. The thing is if the poster hadn't watched the show she wouldn't have heard her say it. Every time she does espress her view someone on these boards is all over her case. So apparently they do not feel, as you do, that she has the right to express her view, even if the show is called, The View.

I strongly disagree. A lot of times she sits there quietly as Joy goes on and on. Or if Elisabeth is not being heard she will quiet everyone down to have her be heard ( which I cannot figure out why). I personally love the show since Rosie has come on. It really should open the eyes of this country cause a lot of things she says do have a valid point.
Barbara is smiling all the way to the bank and so is Disney for that matter.

Yet if 67% of the posters here disagree with her, they are still wrong. The logic doesn't follow.

Bill OReilly is furious Joy & Rosie eluded to his Sex Scandal & is editing what they say to twist it on his show. Like they need any help getting in trouble.

Some reactions are almost a panic. Is it fear? Are we angry she is asking or that it could be true? Lets say Bush did know there were not weapons in Iraq....are we angry it does not stayed buried?
It is amazing to watch. Rosie makes us uncomfortable. I think we are desperate to get back to the feeling we had before 911.

I don't always hear Joy or Barbara shout over someone else when they are trying to make a point. Then because Rosie is the moderator she often gets in her two cents and goes straight to commercial before anyone else can speak their piece. I am not saying if I think she is right or wrong about the war or anything else, I am saying I think she is the rudest person on the show. Will I stop watchng? Of course not.

When someone tries to present their view, Rosie doesn't listen and discounts them with the simple statements your wrong, Your too Young and the likes of that.
