Rosie is a hot topic here. You can file her with abortion, spanking, breastfeeding until kindergarten, and circumcision.

I think she's right between Home Schooling and Designated Smoking Areas.

I watch the view quite often. Apparently, it is completely different than the view being watched by those who start these threads. Controversial topics are discussed daily. By women with differing opinions. Rosie is one of them. Every one of them gets to speak. It simply is not true that Rosie prevents others from speaking. Sometimes people get interrupted, sometimes its Rosie, sometimes its Elizabeth, sometimes its Joy. She is definitely passionate and out-spoken. So what? I dont agree with the conspiracy theory stuff she said today. I dont have to. But the hatred of her, the "she should be fired" mantra, makes no sense whatsoever to me. Exchange of ideas. You dont have to change your mind. You dont have to listen. If you do though, you might be surprised once in a while.

I haven't watched an entire View show since Rosie started. I tried, really tried because that was my show. I really enjoyed the format and the back and forth. Now when I try to watch it I end up reaching for the remote everytime. I had no idea that I would react in this way. I hadn't watched Rosie's tv show but have seen her on a couple of talk shows and in the women's baseball movie and thought I would like her! I don't.
She makes me uncomfortable enough to change the channel everytime.

I have been working for the past 32 years and had very limited access to daytime tv. I retired last month, and occasionally turn on the tv in the morning. (I still haven't gotten used to staying up past 11PM, either) I happened to hear this yesterday, and thought it was a legitimate question. I didn't bash Rosie, and what does surprise me is how some here imply that because I'm not a regular watcher of the show I shouldn't have asked the question.

I never said if I thought her POLITICAL opinions were right or wrong, only DO YOU THINK THE NETWORK WILL BE UPSET BECAUSE OF HER PROPAGANDA COMMENT - THEY ARE HER EMPLOYERS. If anyone can tell me when any of the late night talk show hosts said this about their own network I would be interested to know that the repercussions were, if any.

Whether or not you agree with her foolish statements or not, she's free to say and think whatever she feels. There's a big difference between someone poking fun at Bush or saying other like-minded things mainly for laughs, and someone looking into the camera and with complete seriousness and implying that things like the 15 captured UK sailors are part of an intentional plot by our government to start a war with Iran.

As for the notion hoisted that Rosie some how get "unfair" treatment here and receives more vitriol than people like Michael Moore... If MM had a national daily TV show and kept driving over the logical cliff as often as Rosie does, you'd be hearing it here about him all of the time too. Sorry, but when you spew "gems" as often as Rosie does to a national audience, you're going to get noticed more often. It's also hard to flame people like Moore and Carville when they've mainly crawled back into the woodwork of late.

The old "People just pick on Rosie because she's an outspoken woman and/or lesbian" meme doesn't hold water. People love to say that all the time when talking about critics of people like Rosie, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, etc. "They're not being criticized for what they say, it's because they're strong willed women!" I'll have to remember that argument when the same people decide to lambast other "strong willed" females like Condi Rice, Ann Coulter, and Michelle Malkin.
