The View - anyone watching?

I like ROsie. I started watching the View when she joined. I think she is a great mom, and I love when she and Elizabeth do stuff like crafts and food. She lost me with the conspiricy stuff. How anyone can believe that "something" happened to building 7, and then her saying that the US and the Brits planned the hostage situation, and claiming Iran is right by capturing those 15 sailors...she lost me. I will still watch. I will still enjoy stories about Kelly and the kids. I just can't take the politics anymore. It is one thing to have differing opinons(I should know, I married a staunch Dem ) but to tell Elizabeth that she doesn't know any better, and that she will understand when she is older makes my head spin...

While I don't watch The View, I was, for some reason, sucked in to reading the 10 pages of this thread and about halfway through found myself heading over to YouTube to watch the clips. Everytime there's some kinda outrage against Rosie, I always YouTube the clips and am always disgusted, not as much by what she says, but by how she degrades everyone else's opinions. Elisabeth is allowed to believe what she wants, just as Rosie is, but Rosie can't let her state her opinions. Stating that Elisabeth will understand when she's older irritates me to no end!

I will say that I thought that this clip was surprisingly tame and I'm kind of unsure about what all the buzz is about. So what that Rosie said that ABC News isn't showing the "complete story?" If that's all she said, there's no big deal there. As far as her "conspiracy theories" go, I think she's a kook and she makes me laugh (but the audience applauding her makes me throw up a little).

Anyway, I'm amazed anytime I watch a clip that Elisabeth is still on the show putting up with what Rosie throws at her...and you gotta admit that Rosie throws a lot at her (although I thought that in this clip Elisabeth was able to get more than a word in edgewise in). But, I always think that Elisabeth holds her own...and she looks hot doing it (which is more than I can say for Rosie )

That's the best you can do? I find it interesting how some people feel the only way to win an argument is to degrade people rather than come up with thoughtful conversation that furthers the discussion.

ITA. Even though I don't like her, I would never insult her appearance. I feel the same way about insulting Donald's hairdo as well, as Rosie did (and many here on the DIS) when she started the infamous 'celebrity fued'. No difference, IMHO.

Rosie is the best thing that ever happened to Elizabeth's career. She is now famous for her relationship with Rosie. Access Hollywood just did a segment about how great Rosie has been for Elizabeth & if she goes back to cable she is done for. Elizabeth is just as crazy in her political views as Rosie which is what is making good television. Elizabeth is torn between the truth & what her family thinks IMO.

Indeed! I am hopeful some people will actually google this man (MARVIN BUSH) and his connections to the WTC, Dulles, United Airlines, Kuwait (can you spell O_I_L)

It is mind boggling..A year ago the idea of a conspiracy was not something I could grasp, not even with this administration. I have heard about such additional corruption I would not put anything past them at this point. I don't discount any possibility any more.

I have always thought that the Bush family had something to do with the terrorist attacks at the WTC. And I believe that it was planned with the Bush family friend , bin laden.

You mean the bin laden who PLANNED ALL THE ATTACKS and still roams free? That Bin Laden? I have been reading & watching videos on the net the past few days.....WHEW There are just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many coincidences & head scratchers. The BEST was the BBC reporting the fall of the WTC Building #7 23 minutes BEFORE it happened...with the WTC #7 STILL very much standing BEHIND HER IN THE VIEW of the camera!

I think she is great. I enjoy watching her. I enjoy hearing about her wife and children. I think it is wonderful that she does not drink the Kool-Aid. I think it is sad that because she doesn’t and has differing opinions people feel that she should move out of their America. I think it is sad that people make a big deal out of her everyday life but if one of the other ladies said the exact same thing they would not be talked about.

She apparently genuinely believes that the U.S. government perpetrated 9/11, destroying 3 buildings in New York and over 3,000 people in order to get rid the tax records of Enron, which she claims were lost in the collapse of WTC 7. If anybody said that stuff in a widespread public forum they'd be talked about no matter who they lived with. What was the Pentagon attack, then, just an effort to make it look like terrorists?

Didn't do a lot of good because Jeff Skilling ended up with a 25 year sentence and Ken Lay would have gotten the same or worse if he hadn't died before sentencing. Maybe the White House could have taken care of that much easier by firing the prosecutors. Although I am waiting for Rosie to say that the government knocked off Ken Lay in order to preserve his estate for his family.

I actually have never thought about any of this. UNTIL this thread! So I have been googling & looking at you tube videos! Must say Its all VERY VERY suspicious!

As far as the MAINSTREAM Network news covering this up. I am not sure about that. They also haven't tried to debunk any of this either.

The owner of all the buildings Larry Silverstein even said in a interview on video, that 'they pulled" WTC #7. "They pulled' means staged implosion! The "experts" want to know how they "staged implosion' within hours???? Meaning WTC Bldg #7 had to be wired for implosion days before 9/11!
