The course is the airport runway. Should be super fun AND it was free! It's in a few weeks and in the morning, so temps should be well in the 40s or 50s for the race. I decided to have some fun with it and dress as Amelia Earhart! She actually visited the Burlington, VT airport in 1934. I found a great jacket at the thrift store, had these Old Navy leggings (that will 100% fall down the whole race) and found the hat/goggles/scarf on Etsy.
For the boots, I have dark brown scrunch socks that I can pull up to my knees to give the impression of boots, but I can also wear these old, worn-in Ecco boots. I'd obviously test them out first, but just going by costume LOOK, which of these do you prefer? I can't decide if it makes that much difference or not. And I'll be taking it pretty easy either way.
When the photographers in Avengers Campus always ask who my favorite superhero is, I answer truthfully.
Batman.
I jokingly quip that I'm part of the reason why they now ask who your favorite Avenger is so I can't answer with another comic company's character.
I ran the 2017 Avengers Half Marathon in a Batman shirt and then the 2025 Disneyland 5K themed to Groot in the same Batman shirt.
I also got a kick out of the Star Trek runners in the Star Wars races. If there was ever a Star Trek race, I would absolutely run it in a Star Wars costume. On one occasion at Star Trek Night with the San Francisco Giants, I wore a Millennium Falcon shirt when I sat in the captain's chair of Kirk's Enterprise. And yes, I do have a Giants Star Trek shirt that I could have worn.
