I finally got through to add my cc onto my automated reservation and the confirmation # didn't change. Hopefully it's all good. They did have to run the cc through for $.01~ ridiculous.
What a mess. I hope that everyone still trying can get through without any further problems, and to anyone spending a lot of time and not be able to get a reservation.

Sometimes, as with all things, you have to ask them to elevate it to a supervisor.

They're actually the ones that are going to have to fix the problem, anyway.

i've been trying since 6am with 3 alarm clocks set and 2 cell phones calling repeatedly till we got an agent who told us about 30 minutes ago that BOG is completely booked through the end of December!!!!!

FINALLY GOT THROUGH!!!!! I WAS CALLING DINING RESERVATIONS AND KEPT GETTING THAT BUSY SIGNAL. I FINALLY CALLED DISNEY TRAVEL # AND GOT SOMEBODY IMMEDIATELY AND HE TRANSFERRED ME OVER TO DINING. IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEM CALLING DINING, CALL DISNEY REGULAR #. GOT IT! DECEMBER 3, TABLE FOR 3!!!!!

Oh boy...do I wish I had known this....or known about calling one of any of the other numbers people used to get through. I called the 407-WDW-DINE number because I didn't know i could call any of the other ones......called with two iPhones for the first 30 minutes.....then I had to go to work. So i took MY iPhone and continued to call while I was at stop lights. Continued to call while I was at work in my lab. ::h, no, don't mind these biohazard gloves sir......I'm just trying to get a dining reservation for my disney vacation::: Nothing to see here........

Called from 6am MY time (7am FL time) busy busy busy coupled with a few ALL CIRCUITS ARE BUSY........no, make that a MILLION "all circuits are busy". So FINALLY i hear the bringggggggggg, you know, that magical sound of pixie dust? I yell AGENT because I think it's the best way to get a reservation without having to yell in all my information. I AM at work, after all........ Oh hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes......oh, don't worry, I put my phone down in a non-contaminated area and put it on speaker........you have never seen a gal move so fast when the on-hold music stopped and I heard a voice speaking..... My first choice was taken (and 2 hours after also) but I was able to snag a ressie for the next evening. We'll have to leave Epcot a little earlier than I figured but heck, I have a reservation! We're trying for the Wishes Dessert Party the same night so I'm wondering whether or not I will continue with those plans.....

So, for future reference, what was the best way to handle today's events? I read that it seemed most people knew there was an automated number and that seemed to work the most efficiently/quickly?

Didn't get a real warm fuzzy feeling from DVC this morning when they were adding my CC # to my ADR, so I am on hold with them now to make 100% sure that my ADR is good before cancelling our backup at 'Ohana. This is sure some bad PR for Disney .

Okay, just got off the phone with a CM to add my CC# to my reservation. Took around 30 minutes for that call.

In my case, she was able to charge my card for $.01, then added the card to my current reservation, so I never lost my ADR. Of course I'm slightly worried, but she double-checked and said the reservation now had my credit card linked to it and I would get back my penny once we showed up for our ADR.

I can't imagine all of the people who are going to have canceled reservations because they didn't call back and put their CC# on their ADR. It's going to be a huge huge disaster.

This is getting really frustrating...well, who am I kidding...it is frustrating! After getting sent to the survey after waiting on hold for 45 minutes without getting to speak to the "higher up" in Disney Dining help, I called back. I was on hold for around 25 minutes and then a CM came on. After giving her the whole scenerio, she assured me she wouldn't transfer me to the survey and put me on hold for the Disney Dining help to add the CC #. She finally came back on around the 50 minute mark on my phone and said a Mr. Hammel (or something that sounded like that) would be able to help me and he was coming on the line and then it clicked and I was sent to the survey!!!! So, I am back on hold again after dialing over and over again!
