The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

I'm hoping that most "regular" people don't even have a clue that BOG will be opening. It will just be us DIS-er's trying to get them in the first few days. At least that's my ideal scenario!:thumbsup2

:lmao: "regular people". :rotfl:

Maybe it'll be the best cupcake ever! It seems every Disney Restaurant has creme brulee and cheesecake on the dessert menu. They should have souffles, though to pay a chef who can do them right all the time, it'd probably have made it a signature dining experience! ;)

Or crepes! A yummy vanilla cheesecaky stuffing with strawberries drizzled over the top!

Does any one know if this will be 1 or 2 TS credits ?

PP stated the blogger responded 1 CS for lunch 1 TS for dinner.

I'm put off by two things...what no princesses?? What's the point of fighting for an ADR for dinner if there will be no characters? I may not bother and just save the money and do the CS lunch for the experience of seeing the venue. Otherwise, what am I getting at dinner that I can't get at lunch? I think MK is in desperate need of more CS that can handle big volume,so I get it,but why not make dinner special?

I will have my TA get an ADR if she can, then we will listen here for the reviews over Christmas and January to see of the experience is worth it for our Feb trip.

Thinking holidays means, " if we can, for thanksgiving, if not, we haven't over promised if its not ready till Christmas"

I know the reason I'm happy that it isn't princesses (and I have 3 girls) is because CRT is so close. 2 princess meals in one park seems unnecessary. If we want the princess experience, we'll do CRT. I do see what you're saying about why do dinner vs. lunch. I guess the only difference is that you sit down and have a server the whole meal rather than ordering from a kiosk.

I never really thought it would be a character meal, as much as I would like it to be. But it might be nice if they'd take Belle out of CRT, replace her with Rapunzel then put Belle with some other friends at BoG. Imagine the renewed excitement Rapunzel would add to CRT! And man, I'd love a picture with Mrs. Potts or Lumiere! :goodvibes

I like this idea. Belle has her own place now and it's time for her to move her stuff out of Cinderella's abode. :thumbsup2

I for one don't mind that there are no characters. Not only are there princesses at CRT, but Pooh and his friends are at CP. I like the idea of a terrific setting without characters and don't forget that at some point , they are most likely to bring in the animatronic Lumiere!

I think I heard the animatronic Lumiere is supposed to be part of Belle's Storytime.

I am fine with no characters, I just need to figure out if we like the menu.

I wish Belle and the Beast were going to be there. We will probably just do lunch.

Ok- I'm sure it's already been addressed by many by now, but...

I'm upset that so far...no mention of GRAY STUFF!!! Seriously!!!! I know it seemed cliche, but what a fun way to add to the theme, by bringing the song lyrics to the menu. I probably would skip the beef ragout, but I'd be all over the cheese souffle and pudding en flambe!?!?!!? What more could a girl ask for? (ok- silly rhetorical ? b/c I probably ask for a lot :rotfl:) I'm not knocking the food they've listed, but I'm still left sitting here- holding out hope that they will incorporate this in- somehow.

And while I'd already considered the insane lunch crowds...I relaly wonder how they're going to do crowd control for this. The place will likely be mobbed. I seriously could see people lining up at 9am in hopes they get in for lunch... at least in the early days.

And of course- the continued ambiguity with more "for the holidays" and "late August" really still bugs me. Sure, I predicted it would be a little while longer before we all knew for sure, but I guess I got my hopes up - thinking they'd give us more info today.:sad2:

Don't get me wrong...I stil REALLY REALLY want to get in there for our trip...I'm just bugged by the news of today. It's left me once again feeling like this--->

Agreed! This would be so nice. I would LOVE  a pic w/Lumierre and Cogsworth. :goodvibes

I know! I've been waiting and waiting to hear what they come up with as "gray stuff". It won't be "Be Our Guest" without gray stuff. Hopefully, they are holding onto that as a surprise. Surely it will be there.

Just wondering if anyone has an idea about which "holiday" they are referring to-I have a hotel reservation in November and one in December and need to decide which one to keep...:confused3

The term "holiday" is deliberatey vague to give them some wiggle room if they encounter delays.

Simplist solution to that problem is to institute a fast pass line for cs lunch:cool1:

I would err on the side of caution and choose to keep December's reservations. :santa:

Does anyone think that eating at the Counter service will somehow diminish the effect of being at BOG? I was thinking maybe the table service and ambiance will be more magical? Any thoughts? I was also curious about pricing for the dinner service......I have way too many table service meals planned for our 7 nights there at WDW and we'll have to pay out of pocket for a couple of them (Kona for breakfast is a given but BOG may have to be out of pocket as well).
