You're so organized with your to-do list!

You're inspiring me to get more organized. :thumbsup2

I am in awe of your organization and determination!

So far I have:

1) Copied Amy's To Do List and adapted it to my own
2) Copied Heidi's Packing Outline

There are 35 other items on the list still...! :scared1:

Thanks Jen!

We had a rental car for our last family trip and it worked out so well. It will be even better to have the MRYPPNS mobile with us this time. Waiting for buses just wouldn't work with Liam at this point so a car is a must do.

looks like a good list Heidi! :thumbsup2

so what ADR's do you?

Give me a couple days and I'll do my whole schedule with ADRs and other dining plans!

That's what I was going to say! I want to hear the new plans. popcorn::

Not so much as new places....as a couple re-arrangements. And I canceled a couple too, the 'Ohana breakfast had to go and canceled one of my back-up ADRs that I knew we wouldn't make it to.

Thanks. I just feel better when everything is down on paper.....doesn't mean it gets done any faster!

How can you have too many snacks?! :confused3 I love snacks!

For the drawstring backpack as a diaper bag, do you hang it over the back of the stroller? Or are you planning on using that organizer thing?

I don't pack snack anymore for the vacation (now for this trip I will pack stuff for the long car ride and for the kids) I like to get Disney treats while I'm there. I don't go to Disney to eat Ritz crackers! :lmao:

Here's the game plan for the backpacks/stroller. My double stroller is side by side umbrella so the bottom storage part is in 2 parts. I never leave anything in the stroller that I would care if it got stolen...annoyed yes but angry no. Each kid gets one of those cheap/small drawstring backpacks that we will keep under the stroller. In it will be 2-3 zip lock bags that each contain 1 diaper, 1 disposable changing pad and 2 paper towels. Then a travel pack of wipes and a zip lock bag with one emergency change of clothes (even those outfits are clothes I don't care about). This way DH and I can both be changing a kid at the same time ---hands free with the backpack. Plus Liam wear's Pull-ups not diapers so it just makes it simpler to have 2 sets. But I'm also going to try to use the Baby Centers more this trip....they are so lovely and can give Liam a bit of a sensory break.

In the bottom of the stroller I'll have a small (Mickey Mouse) cooler that's big enough for a cold pack and 4 Capri Suns; a clear bag with soda in it; and an other clear bag with the kid's snacks. (The clear bags are for going thru security quicker....oh and the "bags" are actually that packaging that sheets come it :thumbsup2)

Great memory about my organizer Kat! A few years ago I found an organizer for a lawn chair at Wal-mart for $2.....works great for the back of the stroller. In that will go: sunblock, wipes, ponchos, autograph book & marker and a sippy cup for Danica.

Then I'll have my park bag that I take on rides with me. I hope to pare down what is in there this trip...wish me luck on that.

Thank you for detailing that out for me! I always like the way that you organize things and it gives me ideas for how to do things on my own trips. I never thought of separating items into ziploc bags for quick changes, but it does make sense!

Now I'll ask another question. What kind of stroller do you have?

I'm seriously debating what to bring this year, because we've got Squirt, who will be ten months old, and Nemo, who will be six years old. Now I know that Nemo will be walking / running everywhere, but I also know that if DH and I want to stay out late, we need to have a place where he can just sit and chill, you know? And possibly even fall asleep. Long story short, I'm curious as to what you're using. I've debated renting v. buying something, so I'd love any advice. :goodvibes

I'll have to get back to you on the stroller model....can't remember and I have to open it up to find out....but I need to do that soon to clean it up for the trip.

I personally wouldn't put a 10 month old in a Disney rental stroller....but there seems to be a lot of good rental companies out there now with good models. I don't know if you need to buy a double stroller at this point because Nemo is so big. I'd probably bring a single stroller from home (need to get thru the airports) and rent a double that would work for both of them at night.

I definitely want to bring some single stroller from home, like you said, making it easier to get through the airport, etc.

I've considered that stroller rental that runs an ad on the top of the DIS pages...Orlando stroller, or something? Anyway, I've never used something like that, my only hesitation is germs. And I'm not a germaphobe in any way, but having a kid who has easily triggered asthma, I just don't want to take a risk. I wouldn't do one of the Disney ones either, I think Squirt, who is growing well, but much littler than Nemo was, would slide right out. :lmao:

I only have 3 weekends to get everything done.....now thru Sunday I will be working on
getting the shopping list taken care of, MOSTLY DONE
sewing a pair of shorts, NOT STARTED
getting the kids clothes organized, DONE
get my shower and the kids bath stuff packed, DONE
getting the touring cards done, DONE- NEED TO PRINT
and figuring out how I'm going to best pack the car with everything. STARTED

I managed to get some stuff done over the weekend. Plus I figured out the new DVD player for the car and typed up my grocery shopping list (for both what to bring with us and what to buy there). All the diapers are ready to be packed....UGH. Diapers. 2 different size swim diapers. Pull ups for Liam. Diapers for Danica. Overnight diapers for the car ride down and back. At least we'll use them up during the vacation and then there will be room to pack souvenirs to take home!

It's been changed a number of times....but I'm feeling like it's set in stone now. I reserve the right to throw it all out the window once we get down there depending on weather, how the kids are handling the parks and what-not.

Plans sound good! Wish I was going, too!!! Oh well -- only 36 weeks until our trip. :cool1:

Looks like we might cross paths on Friday morning or Saturday... or at the resort of course. :thumbsup2

And who knows... maybe we'll end up at TL if the weather is warm enough for us. :confused3

But I'm also going to try to use the Baby Centers more this trip....they are so lovely and can give Liam a bit of a sensory break.

:thumbsup2 great idea MOM!

um...yeah good luck....:rotfl:

You have a well thought out plan for the stroller & supplies! :thumbsup2

I agree...great job

it does take a few trips w/ kids to find that system that works...and then of course they start growing up and we have to make new systems ;) the stay in stroller bag/w/ spe changing bag and a park bag system really is the way to go have done that twice now
