The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

I'm glad things are moving for you, I always have that "issue" when AF is close, or right after she's left. lol Speaking of, I've had the worst tummy ache the past couple days, hopefully it goes away today/tonight, I don't want a tummy ache at DL! :(

DBF loves Activia, it's the only yogurt he wants to eat so I buy it. It's never had that effect on me before.....altho I do prefer Yoplait. :)

E would eat yogurt so he doesn't have the gas issue.
The man could peel paint ... really! He farted, I woke up from a deep sleep with stinging eyes and general OMG what was that??! Exclaimed his stinkiness, yes it woke him up too. .. stuck my face in front of my fan so I would not gag

Now he takes probiotic tablets everyday, better than loading up on the high phosphorus dairy products. I can tell when he forgets to take them... pewwwwwww and he his tummy is all bloated. :guilty:

Mmmm I like Yoplait.

School started this past week. Big man on campus-Seniors 2010! I have such an easy schedule and I think I'm going to love this year.

:yay:Guess what I had at the state fair today?!:yay:

Dole Whip

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

They had some un-Dole like flavors of vanilla and raspberry along with the much loved pineapple :lovestruc
No spears (sorry Alison, no chance for funny comments from the vendor today.) and no floats (blasphemy!! They only had it in cones or cups, hmmph!)

Just a taste to remind me of Disneyland... sniffle sniffle.. you know I haven't really missed it that much.. until today. Darn Dole sucking me in to taunt and tease me. :snooty:

:bored:

Slow weekend for the not so chatty hyenas.
Someone called but our caller ID only listed the phone number, E looked at it but didn't pick it up. Looked up the area code 714... hmmm that is the area code for the Anaheim , CA area .. odd... no message left. Made me wonder, maybe Disneyland is calling to yell at me because I cheated by having that Dole Whip yesterday.

Hi Bernice!!

Did the Dole Whip taste pretty close to DL's??

How is your DH doing now? Is everything getting fixed right?

:wave2:
Hi!

It was close, the taste was about right but the consistency was not quite the same. The trailer had the Dole logo on it, but it was odd to have it served in a regular ice cream cone (or waffle cone) .. it was like a cheapo version of the DL variety.

He's doing well thanks!
His arm is healing, grotesque incision line Frankenstein style and it has some weird nerve sensations.. washing his underarm and he could feel the nerve "wiggle" and a corresponding sensation in his bicep.. weirdness! Like the nerve got caught in half and then sewn into different places. :confused3 It will take several weeks of healing and special exercises to "mature" the new access. Then several weeks of trips to his home clinic to develop the new puncture sites before he can use it at home. The darn chest catheter will likely stay in until Christmas. Uggh!

His coworkers are incredibly understanding and make a point of asking how he is doing and encouraging him to take time off if he needs it. Stubborn man, of course won't take time off unless they kick him out the door. One more day to prep the classroom, kids arrive on Tuesday. :teacher:

Whew!! :faint:

What an ordeal!!!!

I wish him luck for this new year in school! pixiedust:

Im making the big appt for dh tomorrow. SNIP SNIP!:lmao: We went to visit our friends over the weekend.. the ones with triplets on the way.. and DANG! She is twelve weeks, and looks about 6 months. I got to rub on her belly.. so cute! I love baby bellies. On others. :rotfl2::rotfl2: but I think seeing them, and talking to her really cemented our decision to be DONE having babies. I dnt know what we would do if I got pregnant again and it ended up being triplets.

I am excited to see her babies though. She is worried about day care... Her MIL is her daycare right now... But she cant handle all the babies. I would offer, but that would make 6 babies for me to watch. I couldnt handle it.. I dont think anyways..

Stock up on peas and get an athletic supporter :thumbsup2

hmm, 6 babies? Couldn't do it either, even in a day care center that ratio would be out of compliance (MN is 1 adult per 4 babies, 1 per 7 toddlers, 1 per 10 preschoolers.. The really good centers do 1 per 3 infants, with older and younger infant groups.. even 4 is too much IMO but I worked at a center where the owner/director counted every penny..not a good place... it sucked!)

As Alison posted awhile back, knowing that the birth control is done frees you. No worries, no panic each month. Just make sure to do the follow up testing. ;)
Dh didn't like that.. driving his sample cup tucked inside his shirt to keep it warm in the winter :lmao::rotfl2:

I really am looking forward to not having to worry each month... My period has been WACKY since I had the twins. Its nice knowing we are DONE. We are completely sure... I know it will hit us both in about three years, when the twins arent really babies anymore... we are going to miss having little ones around. I told dh that he could get a puppy when we start getting the baby urge. :lmao::lmao: But I predict lots of tears when it hits me that my baby having time is over. BUT.. I knew I wanted to be done by the time I was 30. 30 is rapidly approaching, and we have four kids! We are DONE! I hope we dont regret this.

I made 2 pillows for the couch that I moved to my study room. I made another monster but put it on a green pillow. Here is a red pillow I made to go with it:

Hi everyone!! Man, was DL HOTTTTT the last 2 days, but the crowds were low and the water rides were fun!!! We had a really good time, even tho you could have fried an egg on the sidewalk. LOL

So....just got back from the beach....guess what we just did??!! We bought the beach lot from my in-laws! They really did want to sell it and offered us a good price. So sometime in the next few weeks we will meet them at the Pacific County courthouse and they will sign over a Quit Claim Deed to us. Then we will just pay them a couple hundred dollars a month...well forever!:lmao:

We had a very relaxing weekend. I spent most of it laying in the hammock reading a book.:thumbsup2

Awesome! I love to hear abut property changing hands between family.. all good for everyone! My fave aunt had inherited her lake cabin from her family, she in turn passed it on to her kids. My BIL would love for my parents' property to stay in the family, but I don't see that happening. They need to sell it to move into town, too much work for my mom to handle and just too dang far away from medical care in an emergency.

hmm, relaxing weekend would be good.. not happening anytime soon here.:rolleyes1

I made hubbies appt. today. I am totally freaking out about it. I just dont know... are we REALLY done? I know we are. Unless we win the lottery or something. Anyways.. It is set for Sept. 17th. It seems so soon.

Hi everyone. We came home yesterday from a wonderful 5 days at the river to smoke and ash. The Station Fire is very close to us. I've never seen so many fire trucks and fire fighters before. They have engines from every city. I'm not worried that the fire will reach us but I'm pretty sure the hills right above us will be burned. Last night the fire fighters were just waiting for it to come over the top of the hill. It's pretty scary and it is so smokey.

It originally belonged to his grandparents, so we will now be the 3rd generation. We've already decided that we will pass it along to our kids, especially DD. I have a feeling she will always need to be near the ocean. Every since she was a small baby, she's always been happiest at the ocean, any ocean! Right now she's young and life at a laid back ocean community is not beckoning her, but someday it will.

We agreed upon a price, they are going to transfer the title this month and we will make $100 or $200 a month payments to them until it's either A.) Paid Off or B.) They are no longer with us. Kind of a strange agreement, but he it works for us all. It will give them a little extra spending money each month and not put us in debt over our heads. :thumbsup2

So are we ready for our first annual Hyena Beach Party?!:lmao:

Yes, you are done. If you think you might be done, then you're done. I know it seems so final. But trust me once it's over and done, you're really going to like the convenience. Not to mention that feeling of satisfaction watching your children grow, instead of focusing on babies. Hopefully that sentence came out sounding right, not that I think you don't watch the children grow. But there is a certain contentment to knowing that your family is complete. It's a new phase of life, sorta like getting married, or having that first kid.:thumbsup2

That is scary. We've had fires around us, but none super close. I always worry because we are so close to I-5 and one day if some idiot throws a cigarette out the car, I imagine it would travel up and over our hill very quickly.

Glad you are ok!

I didn't like "fire season" the year we lived in Moreno Valley, scary stuff and the air quality makes life difficult. Hopefully the firefighters will be able to contain the Station Fire soon. Thanks for letting us know, I was trying to picture where the fires are located and wondered if any of our hyenas were affected. Glad you're okay. :flower3:
