The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

I'm a bridal consultant thingy at a wedding gown shop, I help women find the dress they want. It pays crap but it gets me out of the house.

I can't believe it, it seems like just yesterday you had the twins (babies not breasts) and nwo you're buying sippy cups! :scared1:

Congratulations! :yay::yay::woohoo::woohoo::cheer2::drive:party:

Omg... that sounds like so much fun!! I would love to have a job like that!

Tell me about it. They are almost 6 months old. I cant freaking believe it. Vinny is almost crawling, and Jazzy is rolling front to back, so it wont be long before she is rolling all over the place!! Its killing me that they are getting big SO FAST. I just dont feel like I am getting enough time with them being babies! I cant stop hugging and kissing them it is ridiculous. I still even rock them to sleep every night. The way I see it.. I am not going to look back and say... Gee. I wish I would have spent less time snuggling with them when they were babies. So I am getting all the lovin time with them I can.

Creative, you should introduce him to Rube Goldberg machines. Bet he would love it!

I do believe he's built a few machines like that already.:thumbsup2

Sounds like a fun job. Until that first Bridezilla shows up, then she'll be thinking they really don't pay her enough!

Enjoy those babes!

While waiting for DD's new stereo to get put into her car on Friday, they decided to go to Ross and do a little school clothes shopping for DS.

So last night he very proudly shows me his new school clothes. They got him two packages of new underwear, I pick the first one up and say, oh you got FUBU underwear. He then picks up the second page and says, yeah and I got Calvin Clean underwear also.:lmao:

Uh no dude, that's Calvin Klein!:rotfl2:

He got it right... they are imported knock offs.. really baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad knockoffs :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

At least they weren't Calvin Unclean variety sold at the thrift store. ;)

Underwear is a big deal with our boys.. E won't allow tightie whiteys for the boys... boxers and boxer briefs (in a rainbow of colors) only.

he got excited when I ditched my plain whites... now he sneers and plucks packages from the cart to swap for "something more interesting to look at"... uhh okay, but no floss and nothing scratchy.:lmao:

J had to get underwear just for marching band, they wear black T shirts and long boxers under the uniforms. They change clothes outside, everyone does... boy/girl.. right next to their semitrailer that hauls all the equipment.

Careful underwear choosing since possible exposure is an issue.

( Yes really, a freaking semi. They outgrew the trailer that they could hitch to anyone's truck.. now they have to hire a professional truck driver for the parades. Gee, that's why I pay so much in band fees.)

This makes me sad, not for you but for my friend. She has a four month old baby and her and her husband are trying to hurry it along, make it grow up faster. They've been trying to feed it from a spoon since it was three months old and then it got really upset stomach aches so they stopped but now force feed the baby water throughout the day so it doesn't get dehydrated causing new digestion issues. They also hold the baby upright on her feet and try to make her walk. She's four months old, she can still barely hold her head up, she can't crawl of even roll over let alone start walking!

I want to just scream at them but it's not my business so I say nothing.

Actually I think they really are Calvin Klein's. They are very nice, really soft material (much nicer than FTL or Hanes).

We told him that we expected him to keep his Calvin Clean's just that Clean!:rotfl:

I wnet to Walmart this morning.. I was running LOW on diapers. Really low. I was down to my last package, and that is never good! So I have all these $3. off huggies naturals.. Which is awesome, because I LOVE those diapers. Seriously girls.. Those coupons rock, thank you so much for sending them!! But anyways.... I go to pick up more of them, and they have NO size fours! The babies are quickly outgrowing the threes, and I was going to move them up, but they had none in the size I needed. So I bought some 3's and 5's. I also got some huggies sz 4s... and a case of pampers 4's. I hope we have enough for the next 6 weeks or so.

I bought a bunch of baby food too. Stage 2s!! i got sippy cups, mesh strainers.. formula.. and school clothes for Alex and Mikalah. I spent way to much money. :scared1: but at least I saved $30. in coupons!! :cool1: My baby cupboard is full once again!

:scared1: 4's???????? I don't think my kids ever made it to 4's - maybe at the very very end???? When they were well over 2???? :faint: (Yes I have munchkin children)

wahhhhhh

The boys (and friends) were going to use the Wii, game started and one of them tried to add a classic controller to the system.. wiggling and bumping it around while it was loading. The system freaked and now a game disc is stuck, won't eject.

It's past warranty, if I did send it in to be repaired it would $75 plus tax and shipping both ways. We're going to check how much it costs at a local game shop... or we will attempt a self repair since really we've got nothing to lose. :headache:

We've successfully repaired a PS2 on our own, lots of self help videos and forums for PS2, fixed the "eye" because it wasn't reading discs. But everything I have read for the Wii is to send it in or involves slipping a butter knife under the disc to pop it up.. I can't even see the disc.

Anyone want an expensive white plastic paperweight???

Awww... its hard when its your first baby. You want to rush things along, and have them grow up so fast. People always say to really enjoy the baby stage, because its gone before you know. But sometimes.. when you are in it.. it seems to drag on forever. I dont think I truly understood it until these babies came along. They are my last... and I wanted them for so long.. So I am just trying to cherish every moment with them I can!

Oh... and unless it is super hot, they should NOT be giving that baby water!:scared1: All babies need at that age is formula, or breast milk!! I started the twinnies on baby food at 4 months.. But you only do one food a week, just to make sure they dont have allergies, then a new food the next week.

Yes.... I have BEASTLY children!:lmao:

ARGH!!! I feel your pain! What was it.. right before christmas when Dh's xbox got the red ring of death. GAH. It blows butt cheeks. Im sorry.

Sooooo... we went to the farmers market with my MIL today. We pick her up, and she starts talking about us all going to the ocean next year and renting a house for a few days.. Okay. Could be fun. and we wouldnt have to pay for the house, Jack will. :cool1: So we will see what happens with that one.

We get there, and as soon as we do, she starts looking like she just wants to leave. Not really checking anything out.. just following me around. I thought she wanted to go! She said she did! I was getting irritated.. but whatever.

But I bought TONS of food!! Lots of fruit.. Yummy! Through WIC they have farmers market checks.. I got $40. at the beginning of summer.. I have used them all up now. :guilty: Oh well. I got some HUGE blackberries. Like the size of my fist! :lmao: So good! I let jazzy taste some of the juice on my hand, and her eyes practically popped out of her head she was sucking so hard!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Either I am totally oblivious nowadays, or less people are noticing/caring about the twins. We only had one twinnerazi moment at the FM. It seems to be getting less and less. Not that I mind, most of the time, but some people say the most bizarre things! Like the time some woman asked me how I could tell them apart. :confused3 Are you kidding? Look at them! MAybe if they looked even a little similar. But They dont even look related!

Success!

Justin did more sleuthing online and found a "how to" with pics on opening the Wii. It's not easy... E got the front face off, noticed there are two clips that help guide the discs in and out, one was bent upwards. Disc couldn't eject because the clip was in the way. He nay-sayed me when I suggested to pry the clip back up and I bet it would work..(It's broken, why bother) Grrr... just do it!
Sure enough, wedged a butter knife and slid the clip up back into position, carefully hooked it back to power with the door off. The game was able to play now, it gave error message before. Ejected and reinserted.. wooohoooo. :yay:

If it was still under warranty I would have sent it in. We did that with our Xbox 360 with the doomed ring of death.. free of charge since it was just two months shy of the warranty expiration, now that was pure luck! :lmao:

Sure they look exactly alike, even under the diaper. :rolleyes1

Yes... my house is a cluttered mess. I know, and I give up!

Joining the cluttery-messyness team ( 750 sq ft, how about you?). Baby stuff takes up a ton of room and then add kid toys.. and grown up guy toys too, bursting at the seams.
I've sacrificed and eliminated TONS of stuff when we moved, some of it I still miss. :guilty:

Great pictures! Amazing how much all of your beautiful kidlets have grown.. I had to check and think of the ages, got confused for a bit thinking Kaylee was in 1st grade or something. :goodvibes

Loving the red hair there-- awesome!

Pretty dress and cool that you can make your own Mei Tai , I almost failed sewing in home ec.... Can't sew a straight line at all. I admire those of you with the mad sewing slkillz... :worship: Bravo well done!

:lmao:
Giggling over the last pic.. want to add a voice bubble over Jazzy "Stop with the pictures already! Geesh! The things I put up with in this family"

Vinny says "Aw, C'mon sis... give her a cute one."

:rotfl:

Summer is winding down....
My week plans:
Going to take my dn either to Sculpture Garden or the Science Museum in the morning, depends on how icky it is outside. Typical hot and humid streak with a break for thunderstorms.. uck!

Next is two appointments for E, regular clinic visit where he will likely get chewed out by his doc and nurse-- oh fun! NOT!
Break in between, hop back in the car back across the river to his surgical consult. Hope he can be squeezed in soon before school starts. If he can fit it into a "set up classroom day" that would be great!

Then E has three days of training, literacy for science teachers.

Parade on Saturday.

E is back to his school the next week- meetings, set up room, home vists (yes really!), students start first week of September... a full week before typical start day. he said if no one shows up the staff go into the neighborhood and start knocking on doors "did you know school started?"
