I hope everyone had a nice day today! This week better go by fast, we go to MVMCP on Friday and I'm too excited. Wish we could have a Unicorn MVMCP meet!

Also, I saw something you all would appreciate today.. one of my students (I teach 3rd grade) came to school today decked out in all purple. Seriously, socks, shoes, nails, shirt, pants and hair accessories. She was pretty intense. A true Unicorn in the making. We should adopt her. Raise her as our protege. She could go on to recruit other Unicorns in her generation.

I hope you had a great day, too. Wow, your MVMCP date is almost here! Yay for you! I wish we could all be there with you. That would be awesome to have a Unicorn MVMCP meet. Hey, maybe we can do that in 2010!!

That's so cute! A junior Unicorn! Yes, I think we should adopt her and raise her to be a proper Unicorn. We could change her name to Lila Fowler or Jessica Wakefield.

Hi everybody! I have been soooo busy- it's been terrible!

Julez: Sounds like a good Thanksgiving plan! Aww, your first Nutcracker!! I love the Nutcracker (but I'm a Ballet freak). It truly is a gorgeous ballet. My 2nd favorite! My girlfriends and I are going this December and we're so excited!

OMG, Rora! It was beautiful! And one of the soloist brought me to tears she was SO beautiful and amazing! I have discovered a new love. Seriously. I have always loved dance... I was a dancer.. I did dance teams in high school... I went clubbing 3-4 nts a week a decade ago (ahh... to be 21 again)just for the DANCING aspect of the 'clubbing'. I LOVE DANCE. And this- wow. This is def. a new obsession. Dance and Disney. That's me!

Did anyone shop til they dropped on Black Friday?? DFiance and I were up at 4:30 and home by 9:30. It was crazy here but so worth it! I love Black Friday!

I did get some good deals and have a nice big fat layaway at Kmart and one at Sears Essentials waiting for me to pick them up!

Just thought I would do a drive-by!

And as for the student-.... OMG. That was SO ME as a kid!

Thanks for the GREAT artwork I've added to my siggie, ladies! As you can see, I replaced the ticker for the hopeful, but alas-not to be, trip to WDW for DD's birthday w/our Unicorn logo DIS UNICORNS and that Christmas Unicorn is FANTASTIC!

I am so tired of being so busy, how about the rest of you? 11:15pm is just waaaaay too late to grab some much needed personal time.

A question: I must be a little slow-- how do you include multiple quotes in your reply?? I cannot figure it out. I'm tired of having to type everyone's name's into my message, much rather just have a post of multiple quotes!! Thanks ladies!

See next to the "Quote" box? The pic w/the giant quoatation symbol? Just click that on every post you want to quote and ta-da! Multi-quote!

And the one to the right of that is the "Quick Reply" button- which opens the Quick Reply box at the bottem of the page and lets you make 'quick' responses- which is often why I have no pix in my responses. Although if you go to "Go Advanced" it'll take you to the regular reply window w/everything you've already typed.

As far as your Lily- that's OK! When I was growing up and reading SVT, I never realized it was "Lie-lah" and I always pronounced it "Lilla" when I read! So she's practically IT! lol

Hey fellow UC-r's. I just wanted to ask for prayers for my Dad tonight. He had a TIA (mini-stroke) about 6-8 wks ago and this morning, had a surgery to clear his right carotid. He made it through ok, his blood pressure kept dropping though and he's in ICU for the night. I can't go to see him until tommorow after work, so hopefully he's feeling better but it would make me feel better if I knew some people were pulling for him tonight. The first 24 hours are critical, after all, and even though my family likes to think I over-react to everything- he's in ICU instead of a regular room overnight for a reason!

I was a huuuuuuuuge BSC fan back in the day and had quite the collection. And then my mom made me get rid of them. Fast forward a few years and I'm collecting them again! I'm glad there are others like me out there! I also read SVH and SVU back in the day as well. So, "Hi!" .

Hi everyone! I just started wrapping presents yesterday and bought a Christmas CD. Christmas is almost here! At least for us. We can't afford plane tickets on/near actual holiday so we will be visiting the 11th-18th. We're excited Have a great day!

I can't believe that little girl's name is so close to "Lila". If you can, get her to read the Sweet Valley Kids books. Next, it'll be Sweet Valley Twins, SVH, SVU......she'll be a Sweet Valley fan for life!

Looks like Julez already answered your question. Another cool trick I learned is what I call the "split quote". That's what I do when I want to address different issues in someone's post. In fact, I'm doing it for your post right now! All you have to do is make sure that all the parts you want to quote are preceded by the word QUOTE (in brackets) and ends in /QUOTE (in brackets).

I have some very exciting news....








I AM GETTING MARRIED AT DISNEY WORLD!!

DFiance and I finally decided after a couple of months of debating a wedding at Disney (big issue: is everyone going to be able to make it?) but we are definitley doing Disney!! I am planning on starting a Planning Journal on the Weddings Forum and will let you guys know when I've started it (or maybe I'll just do seperate, special Unicorn planning journal, if anyone would rather just read that..).

I'm super excited. Just wanted to share my news! Hope you guys will be along for the planning fun!

Rora- OMG, Congrats! I would have loved a Disney wedding, but we had too many people we wanted to invite that we knew wouldn't go there. we went for our honeymoon. Anyway, can't wait to hear all about it!

Well, this will probably be the last time I'm on before Sunday. Just wanted to say "Adios, amigos!".

DFiance and I are getting ready for MVMCP.. packing, leaving tomorrow at 12. We're pretty excited. We plan on going to look at a couple of Wedding Places while we are on property. I think I'm secretly more excited for that than MVMCP!

I'm home and pooped!!

We had a great time! Here's a mini-TR to occupy your time, keep you away from your work, etc etc.

12/5: Check in, MVMCP
Thankfully we learned from the DIS that we could get into the party at 4!! That made things so much easier. We got to AS Sports around 3:30- the check in line was forever long. Finally we get to the counter and the woman more or less said “Uhh, we overbooked the hotel so there is no room at Sports for you.” Uh-oh . But! She had an even better deal for us—“We can upgrade you to a Villa at Saratoga Springs OR move you to ASMu.” This was wonderful news. The whole car ride I was complaining that I didn’t want to stay at Sports (we got a great deal but I’m not a Sports kinda gal). Then the lovely CM said,"Oh and $20 off per person at Chef Mickey’s if you stay at ASMu.” Well, that did it for me. Before we knew it we were checked into Music , found our room, changed really quickly and got our butts on the bus to the MK!
We got to the park about 5, which was later than I liked but much better than 7!! We hit all of the rides we wanted to see (there were a lot!) and by the time we had finished with that it was about 7. All of the rides were walk on- the longest was probably 10min at Peter Pan. We watched the fireworks and the 2nd parade (way less crowded). We also watched the last showing of Twas the Night Before Christmas (really cute!). In addition we drank tons of hot chocolate and ate many cookies- hey, I paid for those! I must admit that I think that was the best hot chocolate I had ever had. I was shocked.. all the reviews of Cookies and Hot Chocolate on the DIS, I was expecting rock hard cookies (they were soft and warm) and Nesquik. We were out of the park by 12 and asleep by 1 since our Chef Mickey’s Reservation was at 7:15!
12/6: Chef Mickey’s, Grand FL, The Boardwalk/Yacht Club/ Beach Club/ Sea Breeze Point, DTD
We rolled out of bed at 6:30 and made it to the Contemporary for our 7:15 reservation. This was my first time at Chef Mickey’s and I was so excited. Personally, I thought it was great. The food was good, the characters were very attentive and really interacted with all the guests (even us—a young couple and a set of parents). Then we hopped on the monorail to the GF to see the Gingerbread House and to look at the Wedding Pavilion (possible wedding location for us). The Gingerbread House is really cool- if you’ve never seen it, go! We then went to the Boardwalk area, checked out the Yacht/ Beach Club and the rest of the Boardwalk, including Sea Breeze Point (another possible wedding location). Finally, we got to DTD. It was incredibly crowded. We stayed about 2 hours then left- it was a little stressful with all those people there.
Sadly we were then on our way home! Overall it was a great quick trip and I can't wait to go again!
