The Twenty-Something thread.....

I'm a little scared of 25. My sister took it hard, and I was doing fine until DH started talking about it. (He's ten months younger.) I'll let you know again in August!

Did anyone else have this type of reaction?

You bet! You are not the only one. MIL gave me a card and in it, reminded me that 1/4 of my life has now passed. What an optimistic way to look at things, huh?

I am currently in the middle of a 1/4 life crisis. I quit my well paying, insurance job of 3 years in December to go back to school full time for teaching. DH and I then had a talk. He will be done with school in 3 years and wants to move to FL at that time. I would not be finished by then and am afraid my credits will not transfer, so my money would be wasted. Not to mention, by then I will be 28 and wanting to have kids. So, once we get back from WDW, I will be chomping at the bit to find a suitable job for the next 3 years. I have been taking medication for anxiety and can't wait for this to pass! I hope I figure things out soon before I go crazy!

I have 2-20's in my age, and then some, do I count? :p Yea, from 23-30 is a blur....30 was the Pitts, and its DOWN HILL from there!::yes::

I'm 28 but am often told I look like I'm 17!! I actually don't take that as a compliment!:earseek: Maybe 10 years from now I will! At least that's what everyone tells me.

Desnik, I get that too! But mine slips down to like 14 sometimes....Usually when I'm wearing more "grownup" looking clothes, as opposed to my usual jeans and tshirt....I guess they think I'm playing dressup? I've been approached at gas stations and had women that looked to be in their 40s ask me how old I am, people joke at work that they're going to report my boss for breaking child labor laws.....haha Real funny. They wouldn't like it if I said, wow, how'd you get them to let you out of the nursing home? UGH one of my pet peeves.

::yes:: Me too! I went on a Disney cruise last year (I was 23 then) and I was asked to join the teen program, and was refused an alcoholic drink six times! And I wore my wedding band, too, for goodness sake!

I think I take it hard because when I was in my teens I looked older (as in I had the opposite problem on my cruises at age 14 and 16, I was shoving drinks out of my hand, but that was a different cruise line that's less strict also) so now looking that age is annoying....Why do people feel like they can say that kind of thing to people?

I'll be 20-something again if Dan's giving me permission.:teeth:

When I was 14 guys thought I was 18-19. Got hit on a lot by older guys. Now that I am in my 20's I still look young. It doesn't hlep that DH is 7 years older than me. While he doesn't look his age he definitely looks older than me. People probably think he is robbing the cradle. Then we show up with DD and we probably really shock them! LOL! :D

23 Here. Already think that life goes too fast and needs to slow down for a bit, so I can figure where I'm headed in the first place.

I have another question for the 20 somethings.

Did 25 hit you really hard? I remember drving down the street when all of the sudden it hit me...I was a Quater of a Century OLD! I burst out into tears...although the tears might have been caused by hormones since I was pregant with my second! LOL!

Did anyone else have this type of reaction?

Well, I realized that the first 25 years of my life, with the exception of a few things, were pretty horrible. At least I have the worst behind me :)

I got 20 something over the 20 somethings:D

Recently celebrated the 29th anniversary of my 21st birthday - Dan, does that count?

Thanks for the link Dan!!!! I don't know that I should admit it or not but I am 27, nearing 28 very quickly!!!!!
