The Twelve Days of Swinter: From Castaway 'Key' to a Partridge in a Palm Tree!

I looked next to me and saw this baby watching the band. I thought this was the cutest thing EVER!

Oh my goodness! That is ADORABLE!!!! :cutie:

Looks like the tea party was fantastic! I love some of those shots the Photopass people got!

Liberty Tree Tavern - Can't decide between lunch or dinner. I've heard the pot roast at lunch is wonderful, but the family style Thanksgiving dinner sounds good too.

Tutto Italia or Via Napoli - (Lunch or Dinner) I'd like to try one of these, just not sure which one or what to order at either.

Kona - (Breakfast) This is a definite... I'm thinking Tonga Toast or the Pineapple Mac. Pancakes.

Tusker House - (Breakfast) Also a definite... I've heard the food is good and we want to go for the characters

I have done Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch, it was delicious! I had the tri-corner sandwich, yum, yum, yum! I would return there in a heartbeat!

We had done Via Napoli for pizza-it's delicious. I would recommend it.

And we have done Kona for breakfast. I did the Big Kahuna and Joe did the Tonga Toast and we shared! :thumbsup2 It's SO good. We have been wanting to return there for several trips, but there are so many restaurants, it's hard to decide!

Do you have a trip already on the books? :hyper:

Hi Rinky! I'm back from the depths of volunteering hell

Seriously, the last update I read was from the first night of the cruise! Thank you so much for the links, they make catching up sooooo much easier :worship:

So, I spent a good chunk of yesterday afternoon and about an hour this morning reading all I've missed on your TR. What a fabulous trip this was!

Some notes I jotted down while reading along:

The boat you took to Blue Lagoon Island, we totally had to walk through the little market and down the street (like where they dropped you off when you got back) both when leaving and arriving. I would've preferred to be picked up right there next to the ship and skip going into Nassau all together - ugggg, didn't care for that place!

The beach at BLI looked awesome! Don and the boys spent some time over there, but I didn't get the chance since it took forever to get our pictures and video taken care of. Oh, and I bought that same dolphin ornament :thumbsup2

I'm so, so sorry that you got sick that last night! We thankfully never had any rough seas, but I took Bonine the entire trip, twice a day, just to be on the safe side.

Yay for getting such a great room in the Jamaica section at CBR! That is where we stayed too, probably very close to the same room location, and we loved it there.

Your Epcot F&W day sounded awesome after the downpour ended! Two of my favorites from F&W were also the Lobster Roll and the Shrimp Cake, of course, I liked pretty much everything I tried! I have an ADR for La Hacienda in September and I was really glad to read that you enjoyed it and also that they were able to fix something for your DD that she liked as well.

The kissing couple in line for VotLM - ewwww!

Funny that this was the first time you have gotten the ganster on the GMR, I always get the ganster, only had the cowboy once.

Isn't the Beach Club gorgeous?! Our visit that we had there with Wigd made me really want to stay there. So much in fact, that I'm booked there in September! We also have an ADR at Cape May Cafe, Jared is gonna go nuts for the crab legs, I may never get him out of there

Your CBR pictures from your early morning stroll are so pretty! What a great way to spend an hour in the morning :cloud9:

Finally, how cute is that tea party?! It's a bummer that moms can't stay and enjoy it too, but what a fun experience for little girls!

I'm trying hard to catch back up.....

I finally finished your Epcot day. What a truly remarkable park day. I suppose I should try to schedule next Hallowen day in Epcot! But I imagine it was a combination of it being Halloween and it raining that morning...... still though..... how awesome. You really have me wanting to try La Hacienda. That grill looked AWESOME! :cool1:

I imagine you'll be talking about this great Disney day for days to come. :goodvibes

OK...... still catching up........

Loved the tour of CBR. I don't pay much attention to the mods. They just seem too big and spread out to me. But it really seems pretty enough to make me give it another look, especially since if they do free dining I'll be paying $16 per day times 3 to upgrade the dining plan. Really makes me want to think on that..........

Can you believe I've never eaten lunch at Starring Rolls? What have I been missing! We've been eating junk at the Backlot Express. Never again! And yes, I'm utterly convinced I'll be having a Butterfinger cupcake next time.....

We never miss BATB. A trip just wouldn't seem complete without it. Sometimes we even see it twice. I enjoyed your photos and commentary!

We had BATB come through town a couple years ago at our outdoor theater venue. Katie and it went and really enjoyed it. But I'm so used to the bigger than life enchanted characters that seeing real people playing Mrs. Potts and Lumiere... just didn't seem as good. The music was awesome though. There are a few songs in the show that weren't in the movie.

I can't believe you didn't like Rock N Rollercoaster! You better avoid my next DHS update..... We rode that ride til my head hurt. We collected FP's all morning and rode it all night......... 5 times I think. But Katie's a few years older than your daughter. It KILLED me for years that she wouldn't ride it. But we're definitely good to go now! Now if we can just get YOU on board with it! But that ride photo is priceless! :rotfl:

This is absolutely priceless!

And now on the display you were treated to in line at VOTLM.......... YEAH for your DH! I thought I liked him and now I know I do! I really just think some folks like to have others looking at them. And no, I don't think they had trouble understanding what your DH said. I think "sex" is one of the first English words the little kiddies teach each other!

I absolutely agree.......... this is the cutest thing....... EVER! :cloud9:

I feel for you on the hairstyle. I also caved and let Katie pick any style she wanted this trip...... on my........ did she make me pay! :lmao:

LOVE the photos of your DD with Rapunzel. So adorable!

OK.......... so sorry for serial posting.... but I'm finally caught up! :dance3:

Your DD is gorgeous in her Alice costume! I'm glad she enjoyed herself. Katie did the tea party several times over the years and had tons of fun there. I'm just sorry that's over for us. But I'm so glad she has those memories.

I hope you can work something out for next November. Clearly it's an awesome time to be at the World.

How sad to have to leave without returning to the MK. It might have made it easier though. No crying as you exit the turnstiles......... not that it's ever happened with us........ :rolleyes1

Okay, I'll try to remember which ones on your list I've eaten at.

Tutto Italia - we ate there in December 09 and I really liked it! I think I had a penne dish that was light and fresh - it's a standard Italian dish and the name is escaping me! We all liked it. They served olives and bread with dipping oil too.

Tusker House - we've had breakfast there twice. Very good -lots of options and that fabulous Jungle Juice!! Good coffee too!

Narcoosees gets great reviews and I have not eaten there, but would love to! I think they recently reviewed it on the podcast too.

Yachtsman and Kona are on my short list. I've only had lunch at Kona and that was okay. Some good parts, (the wings) and some just okay (my chicken).

Thanks for the help Sheree! I'm glad to hear that you like most of my choices. Sounds like we will be in good shape. Hopefully since Kona is going to be for breakfast, that will be good too. If we make it to Narcoosee's, I'll be sure to let you know all about it! I think the fireworks view would be awesome!

We enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner at Liberty Tree. We actually ate there the day before Thanksgiving right before they did away with characters. I'm really glad we got to see them in their colonial costumes.

We're making our first visit to Via Napoli this summer.

I'm feeling the same way as you about T-Rex. I thought about taking Brooklynn there on one of our non-park days, but then again, we may just browse the gift shop - she likes to look at the Build-a-Dino stuff - and then go eat somewhere else.

Jill and John have eaten at Boatwright's. I think she said they liked it just fine.

You can't go wrong at Kona! I have had Tonga toast and macadamia pancakes. I loved them both. Trent got steak and eggs there once, and the steak was every bit as luscious at it is at dinner.

Tusker House is fun for getting the characters in their safari gear. Be sure to get some of the ham. It's so good! I am in the minority on the juice. I mostly drink water, so it tasted syrupy sweet to me. Most people love it, though, so I know it is good.

I haven't tried the others. I bet Yachtsman is good, although costly. I'm always in for trying new places.

Thanks for all the help Memom! You'll have to let me know what you think of VN. I'm still on the fence with T-Rex. DH isn't crazy about the food at those places, so IDK. Glad to hear Boatwright's was good though. I'm really thinking about that one just b/c it's easy. I think Kona will be a winner. I've never heard of anyone who didn't like the breakfast there. I'm taking notes here too... Tusker House ham... got it! :thumbsup2

I'm all for trying new places too! :thumbsup2

Oh my goodness! That is ADORABLE!!!! :cutie:

Do you have a trip already on the books? :hyper:

I thought that baby was just precious! :cutie:

Sounds like you've had some very good meals at my ADR choices! That's good to hear! Hopefully that means we will be eating good too!

I have a trip booked, but right now it is a just incase sort of thing. We don't know what we are doing yet. We are debating a trip or a pool. Every day it seems to go back and forth on what the choice is. We just watched some of our vacation videos from our first trip back in '08 which made us all want to go back, so right now it's on... tomorrow... who knows! :rolleyes1

Hi Rinky! I'm back from the depths of volunteering hell

MICHELLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad to see you back on the DIS!! I was so shocked when i logged on and saw your post! It's been a long time! I thought you were gone for good. I'm so glad that you aren't though. Welcome back!

Seriously, the last update I read was from the first night of the cruise! Thank you so much for the links, they make catching up sooooo much easier :worship:

So, I spent a good chunk of yesterday afternoon and about an hour this morning reading all I've missed on your TR. What a fabulous trip this was!

Well I'm glad that the links have been useful for you. And yes, it was a wonderful trip! We really couldn't have asked for more!

I wonder why they don't drop off and pick up in the same place for everyone. That's weird. I agree though, Nassau was not my cup of tea. It's a shame that they don't make some effort to make things nicer knowing that it could be a huge draw for tourists.

The beach at BLI looked awesome! Don and the boys spent some time over there, but I didn't get the chance since it took forever to get our pictures and video taken care of. Oh, and I bought that same dolphin ornament :thumbsup2

We LOVED that beach. So peaceful, quiet, gorgeous... I dream of going back there! The water was even nicer there than at CC.

I remembered you buying that ornament. I liked it on your TR and when I got to BL and looked at all of them, it was my favorite one!

I'm so, so sorry that you got sick that last night! We thankfully never had any rough seas, but I took Bonine the entire trip, twice a day, just to be on the safe side.

Yep! Lesson learned! Whether I feel sick or not, I will be taking something next time! I just didn't want it to make me sleepy, but I'll just have to deal with it! Sleepy is better than pukey! :rotfl:

Yay for getting such a great room in the Jamaica section at CBR! That is where we stayed too, probably very close to the same room location, and we loved it there.

We totally hit the jackpot on that room! I was very thankful for that upgrade and we LOVED the resort! I'd would stay there again in a heartbeat!

That lobster roll... YUM YUM YUM! So good! We really enjoyed the F&WF and would love to go back. I'd love to hear about your F&W trip too. :rolleyes1

We are planning to eat at La Hacienda again on the next trip. We thought it was really good! We love Mexican food and grilled food so I was pretty sure that we would like it. They also have a seafood mixed grill. We might try that next time.

That is the perfect smiley for our gross encounter! It was YUCK for sure! :sad2:

Funny that this was the first time you have gotten the ganster on the GMR, I always get the ganster, only had the cowboy once.

YES! BC would be my number one choice of where to stay. Hopefully one day I'll get there. I'm am so exited for you that you are staying there. That is going to be wonderful! Your husband just doesn't know what he's missing out on! :sad2: And the CM crab legs were excellent. They didn't need anything! No butter, nothing. All they needed was a cracking tool!

Your CBR pictures from your early morning stroll are so pretty! What a great way to spend an hour in the morning :cloud9:

That really was one of the highlights of my trip. I can't wait to do it again on the next trip!

Finally, how cute is that tea party?! It's a bummer that moms can't stay and enjoy it too, but what a fun experience for little girls!

That's what everyone has said about the tea party. I think we would all pay to go to it. DIsney needs to read this thread! They are losing business!

I'm trying hard to catch back up.....

I finally finished your Epcot day. What a truly remarkable park day. I suppose I should try to schedule next Hallowen day in Epcot! That was the best park day we have ever had! I do think it was a combo of being Halloween and the rain though. I still think Halloween (without the rain) might be a good day in the parks since most of the locals are busy with other things.

Most people don't seem to like La Hacienda but we were VERY pleased. The food was great and the view even better!

OK...... still catching up........

That is exactly why we stayed at CBR. Last year they only offered the full FD to the mods/deluxe so when I did the math, it just made sense not to stay at a value and pay for a dining upgrade. Seems like for 7 nights it only cost me $300 more to stay at CBR than Pop. We absolutely got $300 worth of enjoyement out of CBR! I almost hope the FD offer is the same this year so I have a good excuse to stay at a mod again! :rotfl:

Can you believe I've never eaten lunch at Starring Rolls? What have I been missing! We've been eating junk at the Backlot Express. Never again! And yes, I'm utterly convinced I'll be having a Butterfinger cupcake next time.....

I think it's worth a try. HS is lacking in counter service places IMO, so Starring Rolls was a pretty good choice.

We love the BatB show too! You really can't beat it. We went to see BatB at a theater here a while ago and we enjoyed it too. I agree that the music is wonderful. I liked the extra songs as well! :thumbsup2

I can't believe you didn't like Rock N Rollercoaster! You better avoid my next DHS update..... We rode that ride til my head hurt. Oh my! No way could I ride it over and over. I really did like it other than the take-off but that was KILLER! I have a feeling my DD will be like Katie and end up enjoying it when she's a little older. It was pretty intense for a 7 year old though. Heck, it was pretty intense for a 3? year old!

Ok, I'm thinking you quoted the wrong picture b/c I don't think my photo of the Star Tours sign is all that priceless. :rotfl: But now you have me very curious as to what you were talking about!

I am pretty certain that guy understood my DH. I think that was just a convenient way to deal with the issue. I agree with you that some people like to draw attention to themselves. i don't get it though. That's the LAST thing I am thinking about when I'm in line for the Little Mermaid show. :lmao:

I absolutely agree.......... this is the cutest thing....... EVER! :cloud9:

I feel for you on the hairstyle. I also caved and let Katie pick any style she wanted this trip...... on my........ did she make me pay! :lmao:

LOVE the photos of your DD with Rapunzel. So adorable!

Thanks! I loved those Rapunzel pictures!

That baby is precious. That'll almost make you want to start all over again with another little Disney princess. Almost.

That was really hard to let her do her own thing so I can totally relate! You have me very curious as to what you mean though. Did she go with the crazy pink hair? :rotfl:

OK.......... so sorry for serial posting.... but I'm finally caught up! :dance3:

Your DD is gorgeous in her Alice costume! I'm glad she enjoyed herself. Katie did the tea party several times over the years and had tons of fun there. I'm just sorry that's over for us. But I'm so glad she has those memories.

You have been very busy indeed! :thumbsup2 I'm gald you're all caught up though!

I thought the tea party was very very cute and DD had a great time. I think our days of tea parties are about over too though. It's so sad when they grow up so fast. :guilty:

November does seem to be a fantastic time to go! We have been 3 times and all 3 of them have been in early November with low crowds and great weather. I'm sure hoping for a repeat this year. With the new FL opening though, I'm not sure about the low crowds part. :sad2:

Well, it might not have been our last visit to MK. It was scheduled to be, but... :rolleyes1 I know what you mean though about leaving there for the last time on each trip. It is really really hard. I always feel like Cinderella at midnight. :sad1:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry for the delay in updates everyone. DH has been on vacation this week and we've been doing spring chores. We aren't going anywhere this week, just spring cleaning and doing yard work. I promise, I'd much rather be on the DIS! Hopefully I'll get at least one update done at some point this week. I think the break has given everyone a chance to get caught up though so I guess it's worked out well. I'm also behind on a few of your TRs, but I promise I'll get caught up soon! Hope you all have a great week!

Ok, I'm thinking you quoted the wrong picture b/c I don't think my photo of the Star Tours sign is all that priceless. :rotfl: But now you have me very curious as to what you were talking about!

LOL! I was gonna go back and check to be sure I got the right photo. It was the one of your DD with her Mickey bar!

LOL! I was gonna go back and check to be sure I got the right photo. It was the one of your DD with her Mickey bar!

:lmao: Ok, that makes more sense! Yes, I like that one too. No trip is complete without a Mickey bar picture is it? That's just tradition. :mickeybar

I just read your cruise portion of your TR and I think I have convinced myself to go on one. My Dh and boys are dying to go but I do not want to go. I do not swim well and am terrified to be surrounded by water. However, I am up for new experience and since DH is giving me the ok to book(which is unusual for him. He always cringes at the word Disney.) I might as well do it. I figured DH can swim with the boys while I enjoy laying on the beach or taking pictures. I have a few questions. One I will PM you about since it is on the topic of tipping and I think it is not allowed to discuss on the boards.

1- Do you have to go to the restaurants for dinner or can you just go to a buffet/counter service for dinner? I am not really looking forward to getting dressed up while on vacation. Plus, I have 2 picky eaters and I don't think they would eat much more than pizza, burgers, or nuggets.

2-What do I need besides passports and driver's license? Do we need any forms from our family doctor saying we are healthy enough to travel. I am trying to figure out all the extra costs.

Thanks so much for doing this TR. It is very informative and entertaining. Thank you also for taking the time to answer my questions.

I think that's great that you are going to do the cruise! I know what you mean about having to get over your fears too. I am a good swimmer, but I was still afraid to sail. I think it's a pretty adventurous thing to do. Some people would laugh at that, but I think people forget that even though the ship is huge, the ocean is even bigger and way more powerful! I thought about all of the scary scenarios before the trip, like the Titanic... :rolleyes1 I think that is pretty normal. :rotfl: Honestly, I think you are crazy if you don't have a healthy fear of the ocean. All that being said... I felt very safe on the ship. Other than that last night when I was so sick from the motion, I never even thought about anything going wrong, and I am a worrier for sure! I really think you will be ok.

Make sure you pay attention during the muster drill and that will give you a peace of mind just knowing what to do and where to go if you should need it. I studied the map of the ship before the cruise so I was familiar with it and I knew the lifeboats were on deck 4 and the life jackets were in the closet of our room. To me, knowledge = peace of mind.

Also, you will have a TV in your room that will show you where the ship is on a map. If you are doing the cruise to the Bahamas you will never be very far from shore. The Bahamas is REALLY close to Florida. That gave me a peace of mind because I knew if anything went wrong, rescue ships would be there in no time. Also know that if there is a really bad storm at sea, the captain will sail around it. They might even change the ship's itenerary if that is needed to avoid serious weather.

I don't think you are crazy at all for being concerned over safety. All this stuff I just told you were the very first things I researched before booking my trip. No way was I going out in the ocean not knowing EXACTLY what I was getting into. But after all my reading, I felt very good about the whole thing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend cruising with a reputable cruise line. :thumbsup2

Now as for dinners... No you don't have to go into the dining rooms to eat. The counter service places and buffets are open and they serve burgers, fries, nuggets, etc. Just keep in mind that you don't have to dress up for dinner. We wore casual clothes (polos, khakis, capris, even dress shorts) to dinner and we were not out of place. We were on the 3 night cruise though and that one seems more relaxed. I really saw very few people dressed 'fancy'. Besides, my feeling was that it's my vacation, I'll dress how I want to! :rolleyes1 I know people will argue that one with me, but I paid good money to be there and should be able to vacation the way I want to. I don't see how me not wearing a sequined gown to dinner made anyone else's dining experience any less enjoyable, ya know! For me, it's a cruise, not a White House dinner.

If I were you, I'd go to the DCL website and look over the menus for each restaurant. You might actually find some things that you guys would like to eat. I think you would really enjoy Animator's for the atmosphere, so it's worth taking a glance at the menu at least. They might even have some burgers on there somewhere! :thumbsup2

As for extra costs... that's a big can of worms there! ;) You need to think about lots of things. If you are flying, you'll have the extra cost of the DCL shuttle to/from the ariport, or a car rental. Then you need to decide if you want to come in the night before to make sure you are not late getting to the port. That may mean a one night hotel stay the night before you sail. Lots of people do this (including us). If you are driving, you'll have to pay for parking. There are a couple of options there. Another 'extra' cost are tips. DCL gives you recommendations of who and how much to tip servers (if you eat in the restaurants) and your stateroom hostess. You'll also need to tip the porter who takes your bags if you are driving there. Alcohol is also not included in the cost of the cruise. We didn't buy any, but it is for sale in lots of places. Excursions are extra and there are TONS to choose from! Spa services and the fancy restarants (Palo/Remy) are not included either. That's about all I can think of there. I can help you a bit more with the transportation stuff if you'll tell me if you are flying or driving. Also, which cruise are you conidering?

There is a debate about the whole passport thing. If you are doing a Carribean cruise, they are NOT required. You can sail with only your birth certificates. This is what we did and lots of others do as well. If you already have passports, use them. If not, you will have to decide if it's worth it to you to buy them. It was going to cost my family of 3 about $430 to get them. That was a HUGE added cost considering that the BCs were only $10! We just decided to use the certified BCs instead and had no problems at all. The only problem with using BCs is that you cannot fly outside of the US without passports. So that means, if you need to fly out of the Bahamas (or wherever you are going) for any reason during the cruise (say someone gets sick, something happens back at home, you don't make it back to the ship in time after an excursion and get left behind, etc.), you can't fly back to the US without a passport. That is very unlikely to happen, but that is a risk you will have to decide if you are willing to take. We figured for just a 3 night cruise, we would chance it.

No doctor's note is needed. DCL will not let you board the ship if you are sick. They ask you that when you check in and you have to sign a form declaring that everyone in your party is healty.

I can't think of any other 'hidden' costs to cruising right now, but if I think of anything else, I will let you know and if I missed something, someone will chime in! Hope this helps!

Reelmom - I'll just pipe in and say that as for the kids' menus and picky eaters - they DO have things like chicken strips, hamburgers and pizza on the menu in the dining rooms. My DD11 ate them all the time!
Dressing up can mean just about anything! They do have "semi formal" or "formal" nights on the longer cruises, but the 3 and 4 day cruises were pretty casual. I would wear nice capris, maybe a sundress and felt perfectly fine.
I will agree with Rinky on the other stuff - just be prepared and it makes it a lot easier not to worry as much. (note I said "as much!")
There's a new blog up on the DIS about tipping on cruises - something about they will now automatically put it on your account, but you have options to change it...My travel agent just emailed me about the change.

Rinky - they do have non-drowsy dramamine and that's what I take every day on a cruise. I'll even take it at the parks if I'm doing certain rides. No sleepiness issue for me with that.

Oh I hope you get to go back in November. Although if you went in October, we could meet up!! Just sayin'.

Hope the spring cleaning is going well! I'm spending the weekend cleaning out and getting stuff ready for a garage sale!

That lobster roll... YUM YUM YUM! So good! We really enjoyed the F&WF and would love to go back. I'd love to hear about your F&W trip too. :rolleyes1

I'm not even sure how much of it I would remember at this point! I'm hoping to start a PTR for my September trip soon and I will probably at least give an overview of what we did and post my pics. I have a couple of really fun ones from MNSSHP!

Then you need to decide if you want to come in the night before to make sure you are not late getting to the port. That may mean a one night hotel stay the night before you sail.

Hope you don't mind me thowing in my two cents here, but, I ALWAYS recommend to my clients that they arrive a day before the cruise. You never know what kind of obstacle might be thrown in your way and they will NOT hold that cruise ship for you. One nights hotel is a lot cheaper than paying for a flight to meet the ship in it's first port if you have travel problems.

Yep, Disney is going to start automatically adding the tips to your stateroom. You will be able to modify it by visiting guest services on board the ship.

Reelmom - I'll just pipe in and say that as for the kids' menus and picky eaters - they DO have things like chicken strips, hamburgers and pizza on the menu in the dining rooms. My DD11 ate them all the time!

Hmmm, I'm not crazy about the new auto tip. I really don't care for places doing that. Then if you have bad service and want to decrease your tip, you have to tell the people at Guest Services. Unless the service is just horrible, I'd rather keep my comments to myself. I also think they will end up losing out on extra tips from people who usually give more. We gave more than the required amount to both our servers and our stateroom hostess b/c we thought they went above and beyond. I bet a lot of people won't take the time to go to GS and add extra tip though or leave extra cash for them. But I guess they were getting stiffed by a lot of folks or they wouldn't have started it in the first place. :sad2:

As for the motion sickness meds... my doctor told me that even the non drowsy ones would make me sleepy so that's why I didn't go ahead and take it. I'm so glad to hear that they don't make you tired! Next time I will be popping them like candy! :rotfl:

I'd LOVE for our trips to overlap Sheree, but I know that won't happen. DH can't get that week off that you are going. He can only get part of the following week and early Nov. :sad1:

Good luck with your garage sale. Do you know what the synonym of garage sale is.... DISNEY MONEY! :woohoo:

Hey I'll take a partial TR over none at all! :yay: Let us know when you get it started!

I agree about getting there the day before. I would be so stressed out traveling the day of! What if you had car trouble or flight trouble!

Thank you again for all of your information. It really is putting me at ease. I am almost 98% that we will be booking in the next week or so. My DH wanted me to do it a couple of days ago but I was uncertain. We will be doing the 4 night cruise on the Disney Dream. We are driving down on Saturday. I want to stay at a Disney hotel on Saturday but DH wants to be closer to the port. That way we aren't in such a rush to get there. As far as the dress code, I am glad to hear that sundresses, polos, and khakis are ok. We are not fancy people so the restaurants worried me. Good to know they have burgers and such for picky eaters. I hope you don't mind if I ask more questions along the way. I know WDW like the back of my hand and doing something new causes me stress. Thanks again.

If you have never taken Dramamine before, then I would suggest you try it at home first. It works great for my husband, and he doesn't get drowsy at all. I, however, am a different story. I actually don't even get motion sickness(knock on wood), but I am terrified of flying, and a friend suggested taking some Dramamine might take some of the edge off of the fear for me. I took some about thirty minutes before my flight, and it made it worse! The medicine make me dizzy and naseuous and gave me a weird, wired feeling, like I had had too much caffeine. I wish that I had tested it somewhere that I could lie down!
