We saw Captain Jack from a distance but decided to keep moving.

We were more interested in getting to BTMRR. We just love that ride and couldn’t wait to get on it! I was sure hoping that our walk-on luck continued throughout the day…

Up next: The wildest ride in the wilderness and getting our heads chopped off!

I love the Magic Carpets! They're so colorful and fun.

WHAT??? That mug was RIGHT THERE in Adventureland? I swear, I searched high and low for that thing in Animal Kingdom, and it was right under my nose in Adventureland? I even stood there waiting to meet Aladdin and Jasmine, and never even saw them! Oh my gosh. Well thank you for this tidbit of information!

You got some great pictures on Pirates! I agree, that hairy leg is disgusting. I've heard it's real hair. :scared:

Great update! :goodvibes

It looks like you had a very nice time in Adventureland! I love how you took your time to shop and look around. Great pictures. Looking forward to your BTMRR ride!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

You are grossed out by the hairy leg but not the dirty foot? Ewwww!!!

I think your DD makes an adorable pirate!

In response to the name of Jasmine's Tiger. It's also the name of our Bengal cat!
When we were on our Christmas trip, Aladdin and Jasmine came out and rode the carpets with some lucky guests! How much fun would that be???

Rinky, great update!!! How crowded was the park? It looks very nice and empty!! :goodvibes

I also LOVE that mug. Must find one!

Great update! Loved your comment about the rocks. What is it about those that always attracts the kids attention. Mine both fell in love with them the year we stayed at Wilderness Lodge. There was a big bin in the gift shop full of rocks. My daughter just had to have a bag, and that is what she spent some of her souvenier money on.:confused3 I keep thinking to myself "what in the world? They are just rocks!"
Your daughter's outfit for the day is just adorable. I have no sewing talent, so I really admire it in others.

I love the theming in adventureland, it really is one of the best themed lands in the MK if you ask me and it looks like you guys were making good use of the low crowds and next to no waits at the rides.

I love your DD's outfit, I can't believe how much she's grown since your last Trip report.

We were also really bummed that the Treehouse was closed when we there, but lots of other stuff to make up for it.

I can't wait to hear more!

Yep, lots of mugs in Agrabah! You'll have to check it out next time. It is a really interesting gift shop. We stayed in there forever. It didn't have a huge amount of stuff that I would actually buy, but it did have lots of neat things to look at.

Ewwww, real hair! That is even nastier!!!

Great update! :goodvibes

I knew you would appreciate the slow pace and just soaking it all in. I tried to be better about that on this trip. I really do want to be like that, it just goes against my natural inclination! But I have found that when I do slow it down, I take a TON of picture! I mean, I just did a full 3 post update about nothing but Adventureland!

Ok, I should clairfy... the entire leg/foot region is disgusting! :rotfl:

I thought about your kitty when I was posting that. I thought, "I know Wigd knows the answer to this!"

I would LOVE to ride anything with the characters! I think that would be so awesome! If that ever happens to me, I will be on :cloud9:!

Rinky, great update!!! How crowded was the park? It looks very nice and empty!! :goodvibes

It wasn't bad at all! There were a moderate amount of people walking around. It wasn't as empty as I had seen it before, but there was no wait for the rides and that's what is important. It was great! I am convinced that party days are great days to go to MK! :thumbsup2

Btw, I am so glad to see you back!

I don't get the rock thing either but she is always drawn to them. She wants to touch them, look at them, buy them... :confused3 I think they are pretty, but I'm not paying for them. I take a picture and keep on moving! ;) It's definitely a kid thing I think.

Thanks on the outfit. My mom is a great crafter! She made that one and the one you'll see DD wearing on our AK day. It's very nice to have a mom that can sew!

I agree! AL is very awesome. I love the theme there.

Yes, DD has grown so much since our last trip, but it had been two years since we were at WDW so that's part of why she looks so much bigger.

I would've liked to go in the treehouse, but I really can't complain because I think that was the only thing closed while we were there.

You guys really did quite a bit for arriving late.

I'll have to look up in that gift shop next time...what a neat ceiling.

That's MY MUG!!! I saw it on someone's TR and had to get one - my SIL actually bought it for me from AK. Funny that it was in MK too! It's good - nice and big!

Sarah ended up with that same panda (or was it Paige?) - well we have one too!

I don't think I've ever actually gone in that shop in Agrabah. Walked past countless times. Next trip, I'm going in! You took some great pictures in Adventureland! Jungle Cruise! - someone just posted (Memom maybe?) that if you clap loudly by that tarantula it will jump at you! That would be freaky.

I'm still way behind but trying to catch up.

What a disappointing way to end your cruise. I'm so glad your daughter slelpt through it though.

The restaurante looks stunning. I'd probably have to eat there even if I didn't like a thing on the menu.

And the storyline of that show would definitely have me needing my hankie!

Great Update. I saw lots that looked new in Adventureland since my last visit there in the late 90's.

Yeah! I'm all caught up again and YOU are in the Magic Kingdom. What could be better? It looks like you got a lot done in spite of your nap delay. And who could blame you? What an awesome consolation gift for the cruise being over and you having endured the seasickness.

I love seeing the MK decked out for fall. I wish I could get away to go then. Maybe one day. We did in 09, but it was crazy hot. I'd have to go in late October if I ever did it again. How warm was it?

We did get a lot done. We actually did a lot more after AL. It's amazing how much you can get done when crowds are light!

I should have known you would have that mug! :lmao: You have been everywhere and done everything Sheree! ;) I want that mug too. I didn't buy it. I should have though. :sad2: I'm always so cheap!

That's a very interesting shop. It reminds me of the shop at AKL.

Ok, I would freak out if that spider jumped at me! :scared1: I hate spiders!

I'm still way behind but trying to catch up.

Yeah, that certainly was not how I planned to end my first cruise. :sad2:

That restaurant was gorgeous! And the food was still good, just not as good as the others. I guess it was just too fancy for me.

That show was so good! I'd love to see it again. I want to see it at home though b/c I hate to have an ugly cry in public!

Great Update. I saw lots that looked new in Adventureland since my last visit there in the late 90's.

AL is a pretty cool place. It has great theming.

I hope you are doing well.

I'm so glad you are back and caught up. I know how hard it is to get caught up on the DIS when you get way behind.

We did get a lot squeezed into that day to have only gotten to MK at 3:00. It's amazing how much ground you can cover when crowds are low.

I hate hot weather worse than anyone on earth so trust me, I do understand what you mean! We were there from Oct. 30-Nov. 6th and the weather was fabulous the whole time! Each day was around 73 degrees, except for one day it got up to 80 but we went to Typhoon Lagoon then. But even the day it was 80, it wasn't hot at all. There was zero humidity and most days were overcast so it was just perfect! I think it would be a great week for you to go because you could get the best of both worlds like we did. The first part of the week had fall decorations and the Christmas stuff was up towards the end. You can't beat it! You could do MNSSHP and MVMCP all in one trip!

I have a soft spot for the Magic Carpets as they were our very first ride at Disney.

I feel so silly because I was actually nervous beforehand :lmao: and even more silly because I didn't realise that you controlled the carpet yourself, so my boyfriend and I spent the whole ride pouting because we thought ours was broken.

That's a very interesting shop. It reminds me of the shop at AKL.

Oh, come on now, not really everything and everywhere! It's the DIS influence that got me that mug for sure! I am easily influenced and all these TRs showing me cute stuff make me want to buy too! I need more will power!
I have been very blessed and fortunate to do a lot in life (mostly as an adult). I want to share that with my kids and hope that they appreciate traveling, other cultures, and also where we live. There's always more things I add to the list of places to go and things to see though. Plus I have to keep going to WDW! It's the only thing we really spend our "extra" money and splurge on now is travel.

But I never went in that shop before!!!

Awwwwwwwwwww, nothing like the magic of the kingdom, my favorite park by far. It so brings out the kid in ya and to me its what disney is all about.
Enjoying your report so much. I just wish I'd be sent reminders all the time so I know when your new posts are up, I don't always get them. It would be a sin to get behind!! your daughter is such a cutie with the spray of freckles on her nose:cutie:, I don't think you've ever mentioned her name??
Sittin tight for the next update!!:thumbsup2

Oh don't feel bad! I did the same thing the first time we rode Dumbo. I didn't realize that you could control the seat until the ride was halfway over! But I agree, those may be very simple, old fashioned style rides but there is still something so fun about them!

Sheree you know I'm just picking at you! You are my travel hero! You really have taken a lot of cool trips. I'm just in awe, that's all. I would love to travel as much as you do and I don't blame you one bit for going all you can. :thumbsup2 I am just like you on that. I spend every extra dime I can get my hands on on travel. Sometimes we spend a little money doing something to the house, but for the most part it all goes on travel.

We do several long weekend trips throughout the year and then do Disney in the fall. I wish we could do two big trips a year, but I know I am blessed just to get one so I won't dare complain! But I know when DD gets older, we are going to want to branch out some and take her to some other places. I actually did some traveling with my family before DH and I got married, but he hasn't really been anywhere. His parents don't like to travel so he has only been to a very few places. I've been to NYC, Washington DC, Myrtle Beach SC, Williamsburg VA, Atlanta & the Great Smokey Mountains (Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Asheville) all several times, pretty much everywhere along the Viginia and North Carolina coastlines, and of course Disney and the Bahamas. So I have traveled to lots of places along the East Coast, but I'm like a crack head when it comes to travel... it's NEVER enough! There are soooo many places that I still want to go to. The UK is at the top of my list though and I just happen to know someone heading that way in about a week! :rolleyes1

And I totally agree with you that I want to share as much travel with my child as I can while she is still at home with me.

I know, MK is pure Disney! I get goose bumps every time I walk through the gates there!

You know that happens to me to! I will subscribe to a thread and then for some reason, I quit getting email updates! I have no idea why that keeps happening. It seems like the DIS has a few bugs.

Thanks for the nice words about my baby girl. I think her freckles are pretty cute too. I just wish that other kids could appreciate children for who they are and not judge them on what they 'think' is ideal. She has been picked on for her freckles before and it makes me so mad. We told her they were angel kisses to try to make her feel better. But the latest thing is that some kid keeps telling her she has big ears. What's a parent supposed to say to something like that? :confused3 I just don't know why some children have to be so mean! None of us are perfect, especially in appearance, so why is there always one who thinks they have the right to point out the flaws of others! :headache: My DD is such a wonderful person on the inside, sweet, compassionate, always thinking of how others feel, yet that is completely overlooked by some and it makes me so angry! I just wonder if this sort of thing is starting already, what the heck will it be like when she is older! :sad2:

Gosh, I am so sorry I just unloaded all that on you... can you tell it's been a rough day? :guilty:

not at all rinky, you can vent with me any ole time!!;)
I hope your girl isn't or ever will be picked on to the point
of bullying...its a crazy wrold out there. I had freckles also
as a kid and I was picked on!!....by the way our first ride
with chloe(grandaughter) in 2010 was the magic carpets.
Gotta love our disney world!!! See ya real soon!...I'll just enjoy my popcorn while waiting!!!popcorn::
