The Trippie Who Hath No Name, or, the trippie that'll be completed when I get..

I'm having truoble naming this TR & I need your help-you can pick up to 3:

  • "The Trippie Who Hath No Bacon"

  • "The UNDisney-est Vacay EVER!"

  • "Setting out to be the Longest Running Trippie on the Dis....with STYLE!"

  • "NEVER Invite People Wut Doesn't Wants to go..."

  • "COVER YOUR EARS! Did she REALLY just say that??!??!"

  • "How to hate your mate in 7 easy days..."

  • "The BEST way to stay friends with your friends is to NOT spend time with them while on vacay..."

  • "Food Porn - not on THIS Thread!"

  • "Other" [submit your own title]

  • "This trippie Who Hath No Name" [the sentimental favorite]

Making a full dinner for a group on vaca? You are a goddess!

You DH must have some redeemable qualities otherwise he wouldn't still be your DH, I guess... :confused3

....he absolutely does: he doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't gamble [except mebbe, being with ME! :teeth: ], doesn't carouse [well, I certainly HOPE so!], doesn't take drugs, and is self-made - if his worse is not totally enjoying himself on vacation, because of the fact that he truly does love his work, well then, I guess I hit the jackpot! Sometimes, I tend to, uhhhh, 'embellish' on the facts at hand, because a) it makes for good reading [picture Flounder recounting "....and this was this, and that was that...." - not very noteworthy... ] and b) looking back, there were other underlying issues which really had a hold on his 'fun-and-happy' bone, which weren't totally realized at the time....

....hmmmm, what to do about dinner? I certainly don't want to cook but I am not going to do a repeat performance of last's night's events ( well, mebbe just the wine-sipping, cheese-tasting part ;) ), so I immediately decided to defrost (via the microwave) the 4 pounds of Perdue boneless, skinless thin cutlets [my THIGHS should look so good!]and set about making a PHENOM of a dinner - chicken parmigiana with gluten-free pasta [I actually considered making 'regular' pasta, but why make more work for myself?? After all, I'm on vacation, and no one's helping me in the kitchen, which, in actuality, is a BLESSING...], tossed salad, and 2-cheese garlic bread.
1) Aaaayyyy-men sister
2) You've made me hungry!!!

I swear, but it seemed as if the cheese was meltier, the chicken tender-er, the sauce spicier, and the pasta, well, PAS-ti-er, which proves that old addage: When you want something done RIGHT, do it yourself. Once again, we opened several bottles of vino, and let the nectar flow - a perfect way to end a 'two-fer' of a day,
:thumbsup2 I think cooking in Florida made it tastier...

although I really had my heart on spending it at a park tonight....oh well, there's always TOMORROW...you'll notice that it is Day 3 and STILL no signs of any food porn. Well, if it's food porn you want, you came to the wrong place. Ron absolutely draws the line at photgraphing edibles, especially when it's set in front of him. WORSE, in a public place....

Oy! I think Ron and DH are distant cousins. I tried for food porn on our last trip and got yelled at. Every time. I didn't even try to record our dinners... mostly desserts and you would have thought I tried to cut off his arm. :sad2:

...could be....he's a very private person and doesn't relish bringing attention to himself...we are very different in that regard. If I want to take a picture of my food, it's nobody's business why. Ron, on the other hand, would be absolutley MORTIFIED at the thought, although not necessarily at that moment in time. However, he'd certainly let me know about it LATER.....in private. ;)

Between the weather channel and anti-food porn, I think they ARE distantly related! :rotfl2:

For me, that would be grounds for divorce ... mental cruelty! :rotfl2:

I don't get it.... :confused3 I guess I'm lucky....if I start to dig into my food at Disney without taking a picture, Fran reminds me first. :thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: We would also be unhappy, you have the BEST food porn and it's getting better with every trip!

I'm jumping on. You're trip report is great! You definitely have a talent.

I am so glad we skipped Circus McGurkus. At the time, I was disappointed that we didn't get to eat there, but it sounds like we didn't miss anything!

....well then, dude, you ARE lucky! :cutie: You must remember something, it is quite commonplace to capture one's meal for posterity and share it with fellow lovers of Disney and good food. However, not everyone fully appreciates that, and for those who are not privy to the justifications of a food snapshot, it seems outright WEIRD. I suppose that my DH, along with many others, share this sentiment. For those folks who delight in taking photos of their meals, they have a reason - it is so that those same photos become a part of an eventual TR or scrapbook; for some folks that reason is not so apparent and can be construed as strange behavior....although my DH isn't actually DOING the behavior, in his mind [I imagine] others view that he IS....hey, different strokes fer different folks! :teeth: He is simply victim of being a creature set in his ways, which, in some convoluted way, makes him more endearing to me....:lovestruc ;)

...well, it was definitely a 'circus atmosphere', but the food was....meh.

....I could be way off base, :guilty: but I'm sensing that you think I'm 'husband bashing', which is NOT how this trippie is meant to read...:sad2:

:lmao:

Nah... he would just rather EAT than wait for me to take a picture of the food. The one exception was our desserts at Le Cellier because they doodled on our plates in chocolate. :cloud9:
