well, any word on whether we're getting a Wednesday replacement for The Trip? My podcast week is all messed up now

Nothing said that I know of....guess we'll all have to be patient together......besides - don't forget - they are pushing out an amazing amount of content now. Have you caught up on all the old podcasts - lots on here seem to be doing that now.

Probably no shows.
But more forthcoming video stuff on their other channel probably (like Ryno+JL at the park from the other day I guess).

Well, technically we got something already: The Daily Fix! Plus there's the Dreams and Universal podcasts. I can barely keep up!

I really wish there was a weekly podcast that talked about the 'other' Disney parks. I feel like I never hear about Disneyland Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong and now Shanghai. I'm pretty much starved for news on these parks. I love everything Disney parks.

This wouldn't even have to be a 40 minute show. Could be half an hour or 20 minutes. Every week could have a different focus. Maybe one week we hear about construction updates from Shanghai. Another week a listener calls in to discuss their recent trip to Tokyo Disney. You could even throw in aulani and vero beach stuff.

Honestly, could even make this every other week. I'm just very starved on discussion about the mysterious 'other' Disney parks.

For me, I think watching it live is what is going to hurt the most. If it was a show where I watched new eps when I got a chance...it would be one thing, but I always watched live during my lunch at work. So, I'm going to feel that void right when I'm looking for a pleasant distraction about an hour before my weekly Wednesday meeting.

Well they have done Disneyland Paris shows before. Honestly I'm extremely surprised the team has never traveled to the Tokyo parks. Everything I've heard says they are the best Disney parks out there especially Tokyo DisneySea.

One thing everyone needs to remember too is that the podcast isn't the main component of everyone's job here. Some work as a Dreams agent, others write for the site, many visit the parks on a regular basis for information and footage, edit video, etc. I remember when there was only an audio show years ago. The amount of product that's being put out now-a-days is amazing.

That is true, but people always want more (including myself in 'people'). Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it means you are putting out a good product.

If they do another show, my hope that it could be a show that varied topics from week to week, sometimes with guests - which shouldn't be too difficult with Skype or other apps.

Topics like various forms of Disneyana collecting; book reviews or authors as guests; interviews with people from Imagineering, or the various jobs involved in producing animated features...anything tied to our love of all things Disney.

I like the idea, but not sure how it would fit in with Pete's vision. All of the network podcasts are tied to his core business, providing info to people planning trips to the parks.

We could do it. :) :)
In cooking it is a key element of balancing sweet with savory. Kathy, Jackie, and Craig would be the next caramel with sea salt craze. I prefer the three or four person shows like the UE where everyone contributes. Too many cooks spoil the soup.

I do miss the Trip. I know we now have the Daily Fix is there, and I have seen it a few times. However, I much prefer the shows that download to Itunes. I would listen during my commute. The Daily Fix requires too much data and planning for me to listen everyday.

So we get @KingLlama and myself to skype with the pixie dust girls (Kathy and Jackie) to go back and forth between our various personalities. It could be called Sunshine and Sarcasm. Weekly four hour segments; captivating subjects such as:

Why you should never force your children (or spouse) to ride the Carousel of Progress
Debate over waving or saying 'Hi' to strangers in the parks
Seating at QSLs (staking out spots vs being forced to get your food before you can get a seat)
Shooting video while walking around the parks (trust me, it will hurt you when you walk into me)
Photobombing technique
People who hold their children on their shoulders during shows
How to avoid large groups all wearing the same shirt and chanting loudly
to go along with that, Five phrases to learn in Spanish and Portuguese
@WebmasterJackie will comment on DATW
What to say and what not to say to characters at meet and greets
Running a 10K to avoid having to use a Disney bus to get from AK to DS
Ways to smuggle alcohol into the Magic Kingdom (with special guest @Teleclashter )
and a special appearance by Pete Werner himself just shaking his head with his hand over his face

God I hope someone from the Dis team reads this
edt: grammar and spelling would be better if I had some scotch
