Oh good grief, a Jersey Shore reference! Commence vomiting! I got enough of the "Situation" on Dancing with the Stars!

I don't watch the show but my Melody does. So I have seen a few bits & pieces here and there. Is this what the world has come to?

Of course you can complain, er, I mean talk about whatever you want here! I think that GKTW is one of the greatest things for sick children. You're right, it does seem very magical and I'm sure brings great fun and memories to all the families able to go. It reminds me of something like Willy Wonka where everything is kid friendly. You'd better take lots of pictures too! Something tells me that Juliana will be doing GKTW dances there, not just the gift card ones!

I will try not to complain anymore... this thread is going to stay positive from now till we leave (unless we don't get the tea party!!!!! LOLOL)

You don't have to worry... we will be taking plenty of pictures!!!

We managed to squeeze in a couple of last minute hours there before we flew home. I just updated my TR (hint hint).
If you only have time for one I would strongly consider US over IOA unless Juliana favors the tamer "kiddie" rides or happens to love Dr Suess. IOA has the Suess Landing which was fun but small. The rest of the park felt pretty grown up as far as rides went. US had more "mid" grade rides, meaning the whole family actually enjoyed.

OK... I'll be checking it out soon!

This gives me something to think about... US vs IOA. I think she would like Suess Landing- we read plenty of Dr. Suess books. Hummmm. I guess I'll have to go through and see what we would like more. I mean we are only going to have 4-5 hours there at most.

You're getting close! I'm so envious you'll be at WDW for the holidays. I keep thinking of my trip from last year. So amazing!

We are excited to see all the decorations and to be there during Christmas time. Only 38 DAYS TO GOOO!!!!!!!!!

My only concern with R&C is that you have it as a lunch after a character breakfast and that just sounds like 2 big meals too close together, for me.

We were thinking that too. I'm not sure if we are going to keep R&C or not. Unless I tried to get an early dinner since I don't want to waste time eating during MVMCP. Something to think about...

I confess...I don't mind Beverly! I found 1900 easy to get for dinner, not sure if you are trying for breakfast but the dinner ressie wasn't too hard. Then again, I wasn't going during the holidays!

I think that free dining has a lot to do with making it hard to find ADRs. My hope is slowly fading....

In New England in the middle of October the temperature starts to dip, baseball season ends , and the leaves start changing colors and falling. What is more fun when you are a kid (besides going to Disney) than jumping and playing in a huge leaf pile. I snapped these pics last week of Juliana playing in the leaves.

Only about 1/2 the trees in our yard have dropped their leaves, so I have a few more weeks of raking. UGH.

When we went out to get the mail on Friday there was a package addressed to Melody. Hummmm what could it be? Juliana wanted to help out.

Melody received a long sleeve t-shirt that had a Minnie on it. Thank you again to Liz and her family (DIS ID: llaxton) Melody was very excited and said that it is just her style! She is planning on wearing it to Chef Mickey's!

Liz... you have been so generous to us. Thank you!


While I was walking out of the house to go to work on Friday there was another package that arrived UPS. I asked Melody to have Juliana wait till Saturday to open it so I could see too.

Juliana was really excited to see all the princess stickers and what could be in this box. Mickey & Minnie were excited too!

What could it be?

Juliana received a bag filled with goodies to keep her occupied on the plane. Along with the goodies there were some cute Disney pictures colored by Marti's (mydisneykids) children with messages for her on the back.

There was even a picture for Puppy!!!!! Juliana got such a kick out of that!!! Here is Juliana showing Puppy her picture!

All of her goodies!!!

Thank you SOOOO much Marti, Todd, Megan, Carolyn, and Patrick for the airplane bag and pictures!!!!! Juliana loves it! We will be saving them to take on the plane on our flight to Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!

While Juliana was at dancing on Saturday morning 2 more packages arrived in the mail. Once she got home she started working on them.

When she got the envelope open she had a few Disney coloring books.

And a few 'girly' items.... i think it was lip gloss and body glitter.

Thank you Kathy (katmark) for sending Juliana a Halloween gift! She will be coloring away very soon!


There was 1 more package for Juliana to open....

I don't know why but Juliana looks a little scared in this picture... LOL

She started pulling out sheets of tissue paper. I tried to help but she was on a mission to do it herself.

Melody came over to help and when she finally got to the 'good stuff' she was in awe!

I couldn't even tell what she had gotten. She put it down on the couch and started kissing it!!!

Once we pried Juliana off it we saw that it was a dress and Melody helped Ana put it on.

Once she got it on we could see how beautiful this dress was. It was a Cinderella dress and it fit Juliana perfectly!!!!!

Juliana was dancing around the living room and I should of taken some video, except I was trying to check out the dress. I went over to see who the dress was from and read a note to Juliana:

There were different panels and on each one there was a different character from Cinderella.

We were in awe at how beautiful this dress was! We showed my mom the dress (and the Christmas Minnie dress too) and she was crying and couldn't believe how nice the people from the Big Give were.

We would like to thank Ellen (DIS ID: ellenbenny) for the beautiful Cinderella dress. I think we will have Juliana wear it to MK and we will be sure to visit with Cinderella.

Ellen- thank you. What a perfect dress for Juliana. She has always loved Cinderella and this dress is amazing.

I hear ya on the raking of leaves. As a girl, we had a good size yard and man oh man, my Dad made us rake and rake and rake till I thought my hands were going to fall off. So I don't miss that aspect but I do miss all those beautiful colors and the paper birches we had then.
