The TRIP of all Trips... Ana's MAW PTR... *TR STARTED* Link- Post #1901 Pg. 127

You know Tim, I just went back and re-read your intro. with Juliana. That sweet baby deserves all the best in the world.:goodvibes I'm so glad that you, Melody and Juliana get this special trip. Goodness knows you've been through alot. I hope this trip is everything you wish it to be and that Juliana dances her little heart out!

I just have a great feeling that you're going to get that tea party too, I can feel it!:goodvibes Ok, usually I have really bad luck (like food poisoning the week before our Disney trip or *always* picking the wrong line at the check-out:laughing:) so take my good feeling with a grain of salt!:lmao: Still, my fingers are crossed. And if you can't get into the tea party, maybe you could do the Grand Floridian tea room instead? Juliana could still dress up (maybe even bring puppy with her;)) and it would seem princessy, right? Just a thought.:goodvibes

I loved jumping in the leaves when I was a kid (I grew up in Maine so lots of leaves falling there!). :goodvibes

That cinderella dress is amazing! What a bunch of wonderful people to make this trip so special for Juliana. :goodvibes

You know, with all the planing that goes into these vacations the best part is what you don't plan for. Just seeing the face of your child in amazement, having fun, or being in the best place on earth with no worries makes it all worth it.

I'm glad you have a good feeling about it. I don't know how i feel. I guess I am neutral.

If we don't get the tea party we might just go to a park or I will call to see if I can get her into the party myself. There is also the Wonderland tea party I can try as well.

ARe you accusing me of something tawdry??
I figured if I typed your name you'd come to visit. ;)

The sad thing is that the colors are gone in a few weeks then the trees turn brown. :sad2:

ELLEN is AWESOME! What a BEAUTIFUL dress!

The dress is amazing! We are still in awe! :goodvibes

While Juliana was at dancing on Saturday morning 2 more packages arrived in the mail. Once she got home she started working on them.

When she got the envelope open she had a few Disney coloring books.

And a few 'girly' items.... i think it was lip gloss and body glitter.

Thank you Kathy (katmark) for sending Juliana a Halloween gift! She will be coloring away very soon! :goodvibes :thanks::thanks:

There was 1 more package for Juliana to open....

I don't know why but Juliana looks a little scared in this picture... LOL

She started pulling out sheets of tissue paper. I tried to help but she was on a mission to do it herself.

DSC00054.jpg

Melody came over to help and when she finally got to the 'good stuff' she was in awe!

DSC00055.jpg

I couldn't even tell what she had gotten. She put it down on the couch and started kissing it!!!

DSC00056.jpg

Once we pried Juliana off it we saw that it was a dress and Melody helped Ana put it on.

DSC00057.jpg

Once she got it on we could see how beautiful this dress was. It was a Cinderella dress and it fit Juliana perfectly!!!!!

Juliana was dancing around the living room and I should of taken some video, except I was trying to check out the dress. I went over to see who the dress was from and read a note to Juliana:

There were different panels and on each one there was a different character from Cinderella.

We were in awe at how beautiful this dress was! We showed my mom the dress (and the Christmas Minnie dress too) and she was crying and couldn't believe how nice the people from the Big Give were.

We would like to thank Ellen (DIS ID: ellenbenny) for the beautiful Cinderella dress. I think we will have Juliana wear it to MK and we will be sure to visit with Cinderella.

Ellen- thank you. What a perfect dress for Juliana. She has always loved Cinderella and this dress is amazing. :grouphug: :thanks::thanks:

I LOVE that Dress!! She looks so cute in it! Ellen is awesome! She made Hayley a beautiful Cinderella Dress with a Cinderella Minnie and Hayley loves it!:goodvibes

I remember seeing Hayley's Cinderella Minnie dress... that was awesome too!!! Ellen is very talented! :goodvibes

Hi Juliana!!! Im so happy you are liking your Big Give!!!! People sewed and made and bought those gifts just for you because you are such a special girl!!! You are going to have a GREAT time!!! What ride are you hoping to get on first????:thumbsup2

Juliana just got home from school and I asked her this question. Her answer was: 'I'm going to go on the Pirates ride with you dad. The Pirates and the Cari-bean. I can't wait to ride that with you.'

I am a little shocked by her answer, but it did make me feel good! :goodvibes

I think I know where she's gonna wear that one... ;)

That dress is beautiful.
Ellen do you sell dresses on ebay?

Tim, one of hte moms from Claire's class is taking her little girl to Disney over Christmas. She is doing the Princess tea party. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Well, isn't that the most perfect Daddy's girl answer.:thumbsup2:goodvibes How sweet! Maybe you should wear your pirate outfit again while you ride! Yes, I saw that pic over on Brook's tr!

This gives me something to think about... US vs IOA. I think she would like Suess Landing- we read plenty of Dr. Suess books. Hummmm. I guess I'll have to go through and see what we would like more. I mean we are only going to have 4-5 hours there at most. :)

If you have 4-5 hours AT the park (not including drive time) you will have plenty of time to do either one, as far as Juliana's rides are concerned. Now it wasn't crowded for us either day we went, but the Disney ones were, so maybe it's just US parks aren't that crowded? (Except for Harry Potter, I suspect - not open when we went). We felt like we got Suess Landing done in an hour or so. We mostly wasted time walking back and forth without a plan at IOA. Tim got to go on Dueling Dragons but other than that we didn't do any other rides. They were too big for our kids. You might even be able to do Suess Landing in IOA and then just hightail it over to US until you have to leave. If they give her front of line access it will go even faster. I would allow 15 mins to walk from one park to the other entrance to entrance. We did not have that long on our last day. I think we flew out at 3, so we probably stayed at US until 11, so we had time to drive to the airport, return the rental, get to our gates, through security and be on time. That would mean we only spent about 3 hours at the park. I sound like I'm trying to convince you. :rolleyes1 I would definitely keep it in mind, but NEVER do anything on this trip "just because" everyone else said it was fun. If it stresses you guys out, or wastes time that you could spend at GKTW, or whatever, then it's not worth it. I think that's why we enjoyed our last day so much - I had low expectations knowing we had so little time. I figured if we squeezed in one more ride it was worth it.

I :lovestrucLOVE :lovestruc the Cinderella dress! Tessa got one like that with the different characters around the skirt. This one is just perfect for Juliana!!!

And the pics in the leaves make me want to move north tomorrow. No fair!

Oh yea??? Hopefully it is to the tea party!

LOL we were singing it all afternoon! She really had me going with that answer. I was thinking Small World, Pooh, or the Tea Cups would of been her answer.

That dress is beautiful.

Oooooh.... Hopefully, come December I'll be able to tell you how it was. Come to think of it, Melody will be going with her. What the heck am I gonna do during it? :confused3:confused3 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Yes... my pics make it around the DIS. :rotfl:

I am the one usually spreading them too! :rotfl2:

Our flight is at 4:20 so we need to be back at the airport by 2. So I am thinking 4 hours or so in the park.

This isn't a bad idea. Maybe hit Suess first then go over to the other park and ride some of the other rides. :confused3

LOL You are quite convincing! :lmao::lmao:

I understand. I've read my share of Wish (and other) TRs and I know that what is great for one isn't great for all. I think I am going to 'go with the flow' the last day but knowing that we could go there is, well, gonna make me want to go there! :rotfl2:
I :lovestrucLOVE :lovestruc the Cinderella dress! Tessa got one like that with the different characters around the skirt. This one is just perfect for Juliana!!!
Thank you! It will be great for her!!!!

Well aren't you due for a move soon? :scratchin:scratchin

Maybe if she asked Melody she would've said the tea party?

That pirate pic is cute though, with Juliana clinging to your leg!:goodvibes DH was going to dress up as a Roman soldier at MNSSHP. He was trying to get me to dress as Cleopatra! I think he had grandiose ideas of being Caesar or something! Now we'll just have to dress up at home instead.:goodvibes

Have you considered calling MAW and *gently* asking the status of the tea party? Maybe you could say something like you were hoping to book it for Juliana and that if it wasn't possible for them, you'd plan to book it on your own? That's not rude or pushy, right? Then you'd have some idea about it and whether or not to book the other Alice in Wonderland one for her.

Actually, I thought you'd take her to Park Faire in it? :confused3

Loving all the Big give stuff. I'm in love with that dress. Ellen did an AMAZING job on it. I'm glad to hear you are going to squeeze in US or IOA on your last day. I think you all will enjoy it. The way they treat you at US is awesome.

Great pics in the leaves!! Yay for more Big Give packages!!!
Thanks Mary!

It is amazing being part of the Big Give!!! :wizard:

Maybe if she asked Melody she would've said the tea party?
Hummm not sure what she would of said? Maybe PP? :confused3

Awww.... too bad. You will have to go next October. MNSSHP is so fun!

Now we'll just have to dress up at home instead.:goodvibes
TMI!!!! :eek::rolleyes1:rolleyes1:eek:

I am thinking that it is booked. Don't you think if they weren't able to book it they would of called us? I donno... maybe I am just very optimistic.

What is this pirate picture of which you speak? :confused3 Perhaps it needs to be reposted here. :rolleyes1
OK thanks for twisting my arm....

I wish... if I can get the ADR... :surfweb:

The dress is amazing. It is so beautiful!!! princess: Ellen is awesome!

We are trying to weigh the pros & cons of US on our last day. Flying home early makes us pressed for time but getting home at a decent hour is good too. :goodvibes
