Great to have you pop in! I haven't been on much either the past couple days....just trying to enjoy our Spring Break.

Well everyone, we worked in the backyard yesterday.....tilled and re-mulched the kids play area. Little D man was running and playing like crazy.....we had a bubble machine blowing bubbles all over the back yard and my favorite moment was when he chased one across the whole yard pointing his finger trying to pop it. He never caught it, but I just LOVE those moments. He was hitting a basball off the tee and Eric would use his announcer voice to commentate the play by play...and then Dawson would do the same when it was someone else's turn. "Ok folks, it's the homerun of the game!" Too cute :)
The girls brought out a portable CD player and choreographed dances with a neighborhood friend. Swings, slides, hoola-hoops, running through the sprinkler, mini trampoline, sand and water table, play house with their new "mailbox" brought out lots of creative play. :cloud9:

My 13 year old went to an all day birthday party playing.......gasp.........paint ball! :scared1: We won't discuss that! :sad2:

Ah, but back to the normal work week tomorrow! :guilty:

So, talk about going OFF TOPIC :offtopic: ! That wasn't scrapbooking, decorating, DVC, or even Disney! Sorry about that. However, DS did have a Cars shirt on yesterday and DD did have a Tinkerbell bathingsuit on. So, maybe it was ok.

All right, sorry to bore you all with the Fleagle happenings. Just wanted to explain why we weren't on much the past few days.

Have a great day everyone! Two soccer matches today....I'll check in though!

-Mrs. Fleagle
Mom always forgets about the oldest. I was in the corner sipping an iced tea and then chasing my younger siblings around the yard.

hey just experienced first ever magic moment! I was talking with a family from Roanoke VA waiting for AK rope drop! Then 2 castmembers started talking to us and I gave my version of big red little red. The family got picked to do the official rope drop and I became aunt cathie!

We were escorted to safaris and got on first truck of the day. They also gave us each a fastpass for a 2nd ride.

I'll send a pic to b posted soon.

Hey now I have relatives in Virginia!

These are our escorts to safari!

STORY CONFIRMATION:

After hours of exhaustive research, this reporter has found copies of the security tapes. If you know the identities of the two funky-salmon-ers, please contact WDS security immediately!

Tripp said he knew how to do the Funky Salmon, so we video taped it for all to see. Only problem is that I zoomed in too much and so the only part of the dance you can learn now are the facial expressions. Do take notes.

Work it out...:lmao:

I'm an on board for a Scrapbooking Thread or to keep it here - if that is what the masses vote. :flower3:

Thank you all for welcoming me so late in the game. I feel like I already know you all because I have been reading the threads for so long!

Just a little about me: I live in Atlanta (just outside - Canton) with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We are all nuts about Disney and make at least 2 trips a year to the World. We just went in March for 1 week and my daughter finally made that 40 inch mark to ride Splash Mountain! Everyone else in our family and many of our friends think we are nuts - I'm sure you all know how that feels.

Perfect!!

I'm just so glad we're not getting flamed for going off topic!:)

You mean we get on topic? :rotfl:

I'm not sure of all the details but it was something like this:

We had some of those glow in the dark sunglasses that sell for $25 each at the parks (we picked them up on clearance at Wal-mart last year for $3!!) and DH took the tubing out of the glasses, welded some coil to make the Mickey Ears and then wrapped the tubing around the Mickey.

DH and I were just watching the History Channel's True Pirates of the Caribbean -- I thought of you!

Thanks!

Hey! Just popping in after a LONG day! I don't have much time, and I haven't had a chance to go back and read all that I've missed today (so I apologize if there are any comment-needing posts or questions that I haven't responded to yet! I probably won't get to them tonight!)

I just figured I'd take the chance to steer us back on topic by answering a few of Marshay's questions...

1) I leave Pittsburgh on Wednesday the 16th at 12:50 pm and arrive in Orlando at 3:01! AND, I just got word that Cat doesn't fly out that day until 4:30 so we'll be in the Orlando airport at the same time and she is going to try to meet me at my terminal. How cool is she?!?!

2) Business class

3) They (Disney) handled all of the flight arrangements. I'm on USAirways one way and Southwest the other. I could have recommended a flight if there was one I really wanted to be on and they gave us veto power if an arranged flight was too early/late. I, however, just felt thrilled to have someone else make the plans, so I'm on the flights they scheduled for me! I think Tripp mentioned in an earlier post that we were asked when we wanted to leave if we don't win. I said I want to enjoy a little more time in the park regardless, so we don't leave to fly home until a little after 8:00 pm on the 22nd. Also, the winner - if they are able to secure the extra couple of days off - might stay two more days after the announcement to fill out the proper paper work and begin the training process. (whoa . . .long answer! Sorry!)

4) We (meaning, my group) are staying at the Yacht Club resort. I am assuming Tripp and David are there as well (it would make sense for transportation purposes!) but I don't know that for a fact.

5) Nope. No schedule yet. I'm not even entirely sure what to do with my luggage yet. I don't know if we'll be using Disney's Magical Express or some other form of transportation. I'm hoping to that info will be out on Monday or Tuesday! One of the CM's I spoke to on the phone last week alluded to the fact that we might not see a full schedule until we arrive. Our basic itinerary might come out just a day before we depart...

OKAY, I think those are the basic answers. Any other questions?

Love ya guys! Have a great night!

How could they plan your return flight for earlier if they don't know who is going to win???

I would think they'd have a town car there to pick you up. We almost passed right past our guy because he was only holding a Nemo sign and we weren't told to look for him.

They did that to us last year with the schedules, don't really know why they did though.

It's been croweded, and HOT! (Yay coldfront comin/here). This is when parts of Florida have THEIR spring break.

These pics are deceptive: LMA was first show of the day, and I was directly behind the "reserved" area, which you can see was empty, and I was on the aisle. But believe me lots of folks there if I had turned around and snapped one of the audience.

The pirates was from the Pirates and Princess party, and it was surprisingly small. Reminded me more of the original E-ride nights when you had small numbers.

I miss the old Eride nights. Hopefully the crowds will die down some this week.

Congrats to Cat for rope drop!

Jenn - this will be our first trip since our little one made the magic 40" mark too!

I don't know about with Tripp's family, but if I win I will be the only member of my party staying for the extra two days. No one else could take two more days off of work .... SO, at least in my case they booked the return flight to make sure that the rest of my group could make plans to get home! Besides, I'm guessing it is easier to have the flights booked and change one than it is to try and schedule several seats at the last minute . . .

Now that I write that I realize you probably knew that already and were using you witty sarcasm and I completely missed it, but there's the answer anyway!

Sorry for taking us OT with DVC and scrapbooking...I'll try to refrain (even suggested above that we do a separate thread...) It's just that in this down time when there isn't much CMO stuff, it's hard to stay on-topic.

No worries! :hippie: (I've been guilty of the same thing myself -- both here and on the Moms Panel Thread.) Personally, I think it builds camaraderie and keeps things interesting! :teeth:

And, if borrowing all of your DVC "homework" helps me to one day persuade Mr. DISgeeks to become a DVC member, even better.... :rolleyes1

I know this started out being a Disney Dream CMO thread, and it still is. I think we all have a part of us invested in this contest whether or not we didn't participate, or made it to the Top 20, Top 10, or Top 3. As I stated many posts ago, it's not too often you can find such a unique group of people from ALL WALKS OF LIFE and all across the country that have one major thing in common. That thing being the love of Disney. After all, we do need enough filler to hold us over until April 17th .

Here! Here! :goodvibes

[*DISgeeks claps wildly at Madbrad's moving speech, then discreetly wipes a tear from her eye...* ;) ]

We already considered you family Cathie! Now you have TWO sets of relatives in Virginia! ;)

Glad you're having a good time! :thumbsup2

Hey, make that THREE sets!! You already were given Auntie Cathie status for my DD!:goodvibes

OMG!! OMG!!! OMG!!! This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen!! I had to keep staring at it non-stop !!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Not sure if I said it but WELCOME!!! My DD is tall enough this time to ride BTM, Mission Space, Splash Mountain, etc -- but she is just too young (only 2!). I can't wait for her to ride these -- just won't be this trip.

We may try Goofy's Barnstormer and Test Track -- but her personality is more "carousel" than "roller coaster".

(yep, my DH and I are extremely tall -- so DD is too!)

uh... thanks alot BTM... (Tripp says sarcastically...) That used to be my MySpace default photo. It would show up everywhere and people would get so mad, and a little nauseous:sick:

I haven't had time to post most of the weekend, but I'm catching up this morning. Now don't laugh everyone....

I started getting teary eyed thinking about the "family" that we've formed here and how much everyone really cares about each other. I'm reading about cat's adventures, picturing her there, and wishing I was with her. Not because I want to be at Disney, but because I want to be with her, getting to know her and soaking up her sense of fun and adventure.

I want to be with the Fleagles, mulching, playing, and chasing bubbles. Not because I have a great desire to go to Virginia, but because I want to be with them.

I want to be in Oklahoma chatting with KTP and Tooth about all things Disney. I want to be with Marshay scrapbooking. I want to be with Justin to broaden my vocabulary, and have a non-stop laugh fest. I want to be with Meggin to help her spread the pixie dust. It's so much more fun when you share the sharing with a friend. I want to be with Mr. Autotopia as he shares his love of Disney with his dear family. I want to be with Tripp while he trains for the CMO challenge.

To our 2 of the top three that I consider family (David-sorry that I don't know you at all) best of luck this week. I'll be thinking of you constantly.

I've got to go get ready for church so I didn't mean to leave anyone out, I'm just out of time. I wanted all of you to know how much you're loved and appreciated. Thanks for bringing a little more joy to my already joyful life.

Suz

Thanks so much Suz! I got a little more training in today. They just opened a "Jump 4 Joey" indoor inflatable park near our house and we took the girls. Keep in mind they are 4 and 2, so their eyes where much bigger than their abilities on a few jumps, so I had to rescue them a few times.... and I didn't even pull a muscle. Those slides are fast btw.

Thanks for the well wishes. I think we'll all make you proud while in Disney!

Hey now I have relatives in Virginia!

Doesn't that make you feel so good!!! It took us 5 trips before we even saw the Dream Squad, and when we did it was amazing. On that same trip, I saw the Dream Squad handing out Dream Fast Passes as guests exited Peter Pan. It was really cool to watch them work... and then they were gone just like that...poof.

We will all be staying if I win. They booked a return flight for each Top 3 contestant and their guests for the 22nd. It was the choice of the contestant whether they wanted to bail right after or hang out and enjoy Disney World. Who wouldn't want to stay and enjoy the day? Just to make it this far and win this trip is absolutely amazing. Win or lose, I plan on making the most of it. The CM I talked to said who ever wins will have their return trip re-scheduled. They will have all of that done late Monday night or early Tuesday morning when the votes are tallied. The winner will do a ton of paperwork and take the full version of "Traditions" over the next two days.

To back track a bit to what Justin was saying, we are booked at Yacht Club as well, which is in close proximity to Beaches & Cream. I hope all of my training hasn't messed up my ice cream consumption abilities.

I'm sure you'll do well in the "Sink-off!"

If it were me, I'd stay as long as possible too. I booked a 9:00 departure flight and my wife thinks I'm nuts because we have to return to work the next day.

Hey Kenny!

I may have to do a little Mickey's Premium warm up...er, cool up... when we arrive.... and 1 and 2 and a 3 and 4... Just to get ready for the "Sink Off."

Great Idea! I'll def have to have a MP too. My son's only request for the trip is an Itsakadoozee. They didn't have those at DL.
